Poor build quality

I had this camera for close to 18 months, and decided to sell it locally, because it started to freeze it's shutter randomly showing me error. This only started after the first 12 months after warranty expired. Nikon's second recall had my serial number listed, so after sending it to Nikon, the problem seemed to have been fixed, but by the time I lost my confidence in this camera. Here are my findings on the D750.
Pros
- Very nice image quality.
- Low light capabilities are amazing.
- Shadows can be recovered easily in photoshop and I was amazed with how much details it had.
- low price compared to D810

- Annoying buffer. Felt like throwing it in few situations where it wouldn't take anymore pictures after a burst of 3 or 4 images.

Too hyped but no where close

I got this lens based on the incredible reviews on all sites. Bought this lens so that it will focus closely compared to my 70-200 vr ii. Out of every 10 shots I took handheld with this lens at least 3 to 4 were out of focus. Tried this on both a D750 and D500, but same results.
Either I received a bad copy, or I am not understanding what others see in this. :) Definitely this is going back to Bestbuy.

I decided to buy this camera because of its promised performance like 10fps, 1/8000 shutter speed, touch screen, buffer speed, etc. As they all are true, the one thing that I liked the most was its convenient button placement. It is very easy to change settings like iso, and other functionalities.
I also own a D750, and comparing the image quality with what I get out of D750's full frame 24mpx, the D500 lags little behind in this aspect. Also, the D500 lacks a built-in flash, so the commander mode can't be availed right out.
But overall I am happy with this camera, and will be a good asset to wildlife and action photography. Nikon's addition of free battery pack seals this as a great deal.

18-55 kit lens included with this camera is pretty sharp, and works in low light with no issues. I won't recommend the 70-300 included with this camera, as they have no VR, and hence the pictures I took with them inside were of poor quality.

The reason I purchased this lens was to take Milky Way pictures. I did not get a chance to test this Lens out extensively yet due to not having dark skies. Based on some of my initial tests comparing it with another wide angle lens from a different manufacturer, this is relatively far superior. I would have rated this 5 stars, but the reason I am giving this a 4 star is due to its plastic body taking in account how much this lens costs.
Pros: (1) Fast (2) Reduced coma (3) Sharp

This is a good deal. But only concern is non VR 70-300 lens. Two questions: 1. Can I take crystal clear scenic beauty with this lens ? 2. What are the extra features we will miss over here due to non-VR?
You can take sharp images with this lens if your camera is on a tripod. Or, if the shutter speed is set to a higher number, i.e. if your lens is at 300mm, the recommended shutter speed is 600 or above, provided there is enough light.
