Great camera for a beginner with room to grow

Recently retired and decided to take up photography as a hobby. The Canon T6s is great for beginners, but also gives you the ability to use your creativity as you become more familiar with the camera. Photo quality is outstanding! The 18-135mm kit lens is an ideal walk around companion for the T6s. I definitely recommend the T6s.

I currently have a cannon 6s and love it was wanting to upgrade soon to a full frame will my lens I currently have such as 50 mm 1.8 and my 85mm 1.8 work with this camera if I do upgrade??
If you upgrade to a Canon full frame camera any Canon "EF" lenses will be compatible. However, you can not use Canon EF-S lenses with a Canon full frame camera. I know that the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 will work, but I'm not familiar with the 85mm f/1.8 lenses. If it's an EF series lenses it will work on a Canon full frame. Hope this helps.

What is the difference between 18-135 lens and 55-250 lens?
I have both of these lenses and use with a Canon T6s camera. I use the 18-135mm lens as my walk-around lens because it offers a wide range of focal lengths, wide angle to close-ups, etc. I use the 55-250 for the additional focal lengths if I'm shooting wildlife or distant shots.

Which lense for high school sports.....mainly football & soccer?
I am seriously considering buying this camera. A much wanted upgrade from my 1st DSLR Olympus E-510!
Is the 18-135mm lense sufficient for high school football and soccer games, or would the 55-250mm be necessary?
Have you used the 55-250mm and if so, how is it for these sports?
How well does the optical stabilizer work?

I have Canon T6s which came with the 18-135mm lens. It's a great walk-around lens, but for photographing sports I think you would be much happier with the 55-250mm lens to get the extra distance. I recently purchased a Canon 55-250mm lens for $299 and am very pleased with the results I am getting. It's a budget lens, but read the reviews and you will find that most people are very pleased with the 55-250mm Canon lens.
