INSTALLATION & CONFIGURATION
The Western Digital P10 can be used as either an XBOX expansion drive, or as an external hard drive for your PC. Initial set-up was impressively simple. Both my Windows 10 PC and my XBOX recognized and configured the drive instantly with nothing needed other than plugging it in. I did not have to enter Disk Management in Windows 10 to configure any options. The drive was properly formatted and ready for use right out of the box.
The Western Digital P10 can be used as either an XBOX expansion drive, or as an external hard drive for your PC. Initial set-up was impressively simple. Both my Windows 10 PC and my XBOX recognized and configured the drive instantly with nothing needed other than plugging it in. I did not have to enter Disk Management in Windows 10 to configure any options. The drive was properly formatted and ready for use right out of the box.
The drive requires a single USB-A style connection. This sole connection provides for both data and power. I tested and installed the drive on a USB 3.0 port on my PC and on the XBOX One X. Western Digital touts the P10 as having a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface. For those unfamiliar with the new naming conventions (who isn’t), it boils down to this: The USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface is nothing more than the original USB 3.0 interface, renamed. It is the successor to USB 2.0 and can transfer data up to 5Gb/s vs. the 480Mb/s limitation of USB 2.0.
USE
The P10 transferred multiple rounds of test files and data without issue. Both read and write speeds were consistent and nearly identical to Western Digital’s speed claims of up to 140MB/s (which translates to approximately 1.1 Gb/s). Digging into Windows 10 policy settings and changing the drive from its default state of Quick Removal to Better Performance yielded negligible improvements in speed. Results posted with the review reflect speeds achieved using the Better Performance policy setting within Windows 10.

While 140MB/s is not a dismal number, it falls WAY short of the limit of the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface. Opening the drive up, reveals the reason for the bandwidth limitation. The drive contained within the enclosure is a normal 5400rpm, 2.5-inch laptop hard drive. A drive with this spindle speed will be unable to fully utilize the theoretical limit of the interface it is connected to. Because of this limitation, this drive is unable to support XBOX Series X optimized games. Series X games will need transferred from this drive to the internal HDD for the user to experience the full Series X enhancements.
FINAL THOUGHTS
While this drive works admirably well for what it is, I find it hard to give it a glowing recommendation. Western Digital charges a premium for this drive compared to other WD and competitors’ drives with similar specs and performance (though this drive includes 1 free month of XBOX Game Pass).

What seals this review, is Western Digital has gone out of its way to market their Black drives as a premium alternative, that is equal to, or better than any of its competitors. Look up any advertising for the Black products and Western Digital will tell you how great their Black products are compared to the competition. I found nothing that qualifies the P10 to earn the Black badge. The P10 is an external storage device that contains the same style hard drive my laptops had 10 years ago.
Had this drive been marketed differently or priced more competitively, I may have reconsidered my review. But, due to Western Digital’s own propaganda, I expect a Black badged product to perform above and beyond its competition. This product does not.

These headphones offer great value and features for the money.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
After unboxing the headphones and plugging into my Windows 10 PC, I was off and going. Windows immediately asks what you plugged into the headphone port & after selecting headset, all functions of the Rig’s were working as intended. I played some music and movie clips before getting into any games. I find games can often mask inadequacies in headphones much more than high resolution music does.

At first listen, the headphones sounded fine. Nothing special and nothing to write home about. It is not that they did anything offensive, they just did not have the oomph and pop I had hoped for. For a product that has 50mm drivers, the bass was lacking and the highs, while decent, were not exceptionally bright or clear.
To be fair, speaker & headphone opinions are very subjective. What one person likes, the next one may not. So, no matter what anyone says about a speaker, I always recommend giving them a go for yourself.

DOLBY ATMOS SOFTWARE
What really makes these headphones a standout amongst their peers, is the inclusion of 2 years of Dolby Atmos and no additional charge. I went to the Windows 10 store and “Redeemed a Code”. This activated the Dolby Atmos license to my Microsoft account. So, not only was the app available on my XBox One, it was also available on my Windows 10 PC’s. AWESOME!!!!

My earlier experience with the headphones being merely satisfactory were changed! The Atmos app allows for a good deal of audio customization. You can use the pre-defined Atmos settings for Games, Movies, or Music, or create your own custom EQ curves. These settings are all accessible and customizable via the now free Dolby Access app.
The app transforms the headphones. The Dolby app opens the bottom end and creates deeper, fuller sounding bass. The highs, those still not excellent are clearer and less muddled. The Atmos app is a must have. Using the Game Mode with a compatible game is an interesting experience. Dolby Atmos involves object-based sound and using some acoustical magic, Dolby can position the in-game sounds exactly where they would be coming from if you were the one standing on the screen. It is a cool bit of techno-wizardry, that makes games even more enveloping.
NEGATIVES

Negative 1: The cord. The cord feels cheap and flimsy. Not sure how well it is going to hold up to repeated use.
Negative 2: The volume adjuster built into the cord not only feels cheap, it also seems to really lower volume more than it increases it. I found myself leaving the volume slider at 100% and adjusting volume via the Windows or Xbox control panel. There seems to be way too much resistance built into the slider.
CONCLUSIONS
At the end of the day, these headphones are a great gaming option. They do not have a lot of whiz bang features, but they are comfortable and seem to be very well made (aside from the cord). The cups fit over my ears and the metal frame of the headphones provided just the right amount of tension on my head without becoming tiring or hurting after several long gaming sessions.

Add in a free 2-year subscription to Dolby Access and you have a great set of headphones. While out of the box, these may not sound as good as my other gaming headphones, the addition of the Dolby Atmos optimization makes these headphones an attractive alternative, and in my opinion lets them play in a territory outside their price class.

The Logitech Unifying receiver is a nice piece of hardware. The receiver allows you to connect to 2 Bluetooth devices at the same time. I think it is a great feature as it allows for one less USB port to be tied up.
The headphone’s button selections are minimal, and that is a good thing. A multi-function, programmable button on one ear cup surrounded by the volume buttons, a power button, and the noise cancelling button. That is about it. Less is more. Controls are simple and intuitive and best of all; Logitech has enabled verbal feedback when you select a function. I think that is a must-have feature on all headphones. There are no chimes or cutesy jingles when you select an option. The headphones confirm you button push with clear verbal feedback. EXCELLENT!

The Logitech Logi-Tune software installed and configured my headphones without issue on my Windows 10 PC. The software is simple and intuitive, with little learning curve required. Logitech deserves to be commended on its hassle-free installation and ease of use built into its Logi-Tune app.

The Logi-Tune software adjusts the numerous parameters of the headphones. Items such as the EQ, amount of noise cancellation, volume, etc are all easily accessible and changeable from the app. Well done Logitech.
USE
The headphones are lightweight and have a nice, quality feel to them. The ear pads are soft and conform to the ear, helping seal out ambient noise. As opposed to numerous other headsets, the pads rest on the ear, instead of being oversized and enclosing the entire lobe.

Voices are clear and intelligible. The Active Noise Cancellation on the mic seems to do an excellent job at filtering out unwanted background noise. The ability to adjust the amount of audio processing via the Logi-Tune app is a welcome feature and keeps the speaker from sounding fake or unnatural.
I really like that Logitech has included the ability to charge the headphones wirelessly. While you can still charge them from the USB-C connector, the addition is wireless Qi charging is great. I just wish at this price point, Logitech would have included a wireless Qi charging pad with the headphones.
NEGATIVES
The headphones have an extremely limited target audience, as they are geared entirely toward the business user. They have a limited frequency response of 30Hz – 13000Hz. This makes them suited for voice conversations or podcasts, but really limits their enjoyment when used to listen to background music (as I like to do while working) or even videos.

For fun, I tried them out on games (way out of their intended purpose) and they are not a good, quality gaming headset. I will not consider this a negative on their overall verdict, as I tested them at a job at which they were not intended. But, I thought I would at least give it a try.

These headphones are intended to be used strictly in a business environment, i.e., conference calls, Zoom meetings, Teams, etc. If you are expecting them to be able to serve multiple purposes, you will be disappointed. Voice clarity is excellent, and the noise cancellation works well.

The problem with the headphones is that I have numerous others to compare them too. I have headphones from Beats, Adidas, Sony, Jabra, etc. Had I not had something to compare the Logitech’s to, I would probably rate them higher. But, I have numerous headphones that not only work great on business calls, chats, Teams meetings, etc., but also work excellent at music, movies, and games.
For me, a good set of headphones should have the ability to fill many roles. This one does not. It does one thing and really one thing only. To be fair, it does its intended purpose well. However, my headphones from other manufacturers do just as good a job as these Logitech’s, but also sound great with music, movies, and games. Some of those great sounding headphones I have, even cost less than the Zone 900’s.

Being completely sealed means that there are no leaks around or between the filters and 100% of the air that gets pulled through the unit is filtered with no air sneaking past the filters. That is a bold claim and is quite an accomplishment. I know on my other units, regardless of the manufacturer, always have a build-up of dust around the edges of the filters. So, I conclude that this is a low-restriction area, allowing air and dust to pass through without filtering. Aeris claims to have remedied that situation and states their filters capture 99.95% of all contaminants down to 0.1 microns. This includes smoke, dust, pollen, mold, and bacteria and viruses.

Furthermore, Aeris coats their filters with Zinc Pyrithione. Though I am not sure what it is, Aeris says that this anti-microbial coating is responsible for killing bacteria and viruses without the need for UV lights or ozone generators. This includes the ability to kill the Coronavirus. AWESOME!!!

There are no exposed buttons or visible screens. The “buttons” are capacitive touch spots on the top of unit and the display lights up through to the top. The machine is very modern and attractive looking. My unit was the sailor blue, which is a bold navy blue. However, if that is not to your liking, Aeris sells Aair Lites in other colors, or you can simply buy replacement sleeves and change them out. A thoughtful change of aesthetics from your average, plastic box appliances.

After setting up Aair Lite, I placed the unit in Auto mode. Auto mode will automatically adjust fan speed according to ambient air quality. The better the air quality, the slower the speed and vice versa. I am happy to report that on the lowest setting the unit is nearly inaudible.

The display is similar to the old-school dot matrix displays, but it does not scroll text. It only displays a character and a symbol. The Aeris app is a complete mess. I tried using the app with my iPad and my Galaxy smartphone and both had difficulty setting up the unit for the first time. I had to try a combination of each device a total of 7 times to get the unit set up for the first time. Come to find out, the reason for the difficulty was the app fails to take you to the account login / creation page prior setting up the device. Without first creating an account, you cannot perform any set-up on the device, as the app will not recognize your Aeris or your home wi-fi. After trial and error, the app finally got me to the account creation page, and I was able to finish setting up the device.
In addition to the issues with initial set-up, the app will randomly log you out and does not prompt you to log back in. So, without warning, you lose all communication with the Aair Lite and the app won't connect. It got me a couple of times and left me scratching my head trying to figure out what was wrong with the unit, only to find out that the app logged out without prompting to log back in.
CONCLUSIONS
The Aair Lite is a nice change of pace compared to the old, boring designs of most all other air purification systems. The modern design and aesthetics look great and fortunately the Aair Lite is designed to perform as well as it looks. After just one day in a large bedroom, the air quality and overall smell had been improved markedly. My entire family commented on how much cleaner and better the room smelled. Not an easy achievement to impress everyone.

INITIAL SET-UP
I tested setting up the XP700 with both an iPad and Android based Galaxy smartphone. I am happy to report that both the Android and iOS Sony Music Center apps worked flawlessly for setting up the speaker. Things went smoothly enough that there is not a lot to write about.

I cannot say the same for Sony’s Fiestable app. This add-on app, available on both iOS and Android, is a companion app to Music Center. It really serves little purpose other than turning your phone into a light show working in conjunction with the adjustable lighting on the XP700. I guess it is neat in theory, but really serves no useful purpose other than being just a huge battery suck.
MUSIC SELECTION AND USE
Both my Android phone and iPad found the speaker nearly instantly and connected via Bluetooth without issue. The Music Center app scanned my phone for existing music services, and was able to connect to them all without any fuss. My primary music streaming service, Amazon Music, was launched and handled without issue by the Music Center app.

The Music Center app allows the user to fine tune the listening experience to their liking and control all aspects of the speaker. Options for lighting, equalization settings, power consumption optimization, DJ effects, Bluetooth prioritization, etc. are all app controlled and easily customizable. My iPad streamed flawlessly via the AAC codec. My Galaxy phone provided even better results, as the Sony supports the higher bitrate LDAC protocol. I, of course, selected sound quality over connection quality and the Bluetooth stream sounded even fuller than on my iPad. My previous generation Sony speaker, XB72, struggled maintain a quality LDAC connection with my phone. But my Galaxy and the XP700 maintained a consistent “music priority” connection from more than 50 feet away. An excellent achievement considering my XB72 could not maintain a quality connection for more than 5 feet from the speaker.
Sony has given this new generation of speaker a great deal of inputs for streaming. The speaker has inputs for a guitar, a mic input for DJ’ing, USB-A for flash drives, all in addition to Bluetooth.
One of the most notable features is the inclusion of Li-Ion rechargeable battery. This was not an option on Sony’s previous generation of speakers. The battery packs a lot of power. Used judiciously, it can provide up to 25hrs of continuous playback. Need it in a pinch and your battery is dead? No problem. A quick 10-minute charge will provide up to 3hrs of music time. The internal battery can even be used to charge your phone or iPad, if connected to the USB port. A nice feature included in the Music Center app is a battery management utility. It smartly charges your battery, keeping it from overcharging, which extends the overall lifespan of the battery. A smart and welcome addition. The Music Center app also provides an estimated battery life remaining, in both hours and percentage. I found that the app constantly polls the speaker and appears to update the status once every 30 seconds, or so.
SOUND QUALITY
To me, I prioritize sound quality over whiz-bang features and loudness. I do not care how many things an app can do or how loud a speaker can play, if it does not sound good, I am not going to get it. Call me an audio snob or high maintenance, but I will walk past most speakers after about 2 minutes of listening. I reviewed the previous generation of Sony speaker, the XB72, and it falls into that category. I felt the XB72 was just meh. It did not really sound all that great. The bass was lacking, it was plagued with an odd digital hiss from its built-in amp, and it overall failed to impress. Even as a lowly garage speaker, as I have it now, it is just, OK.

I will say that Sony addressed many of the complaints I had with the previous generation and corrected them with the XP700. The sound is fuller and much more powerful. The change to square woofers really improves the bass output. In addition to the increased bass output, the sound of the XP700 is much more detailed and cleaner than it ever was in the XB72.
One thing that still does not fully win my heart over is the tweeter selection. While they appear to be the same units in the previous generation, these do sound better. However, they are not anywhere near as clear and detailed as a good titanium or silk dome tweeter. But, like I said, they do sound clearer than the last generation product.
CONCLUSION

In addition to improved audio and multiple inputs, the addition of a huge, rechargeable battery just makes it that much better. This is truly a portable, powerhouse of a party speaker. One that I enjoy listening to now. Not an easy feat to achieve. But Sony deserves major kudos for their hard work on improving their product line. I can easily recommend this product now. Excellent work.

The Pure Enrichment PureZone 200 is a welcome change from the growing trend of internet connected devices. There are no fancy apps or whiz-bang doo dads, it does the one thing it is designed to do: clean your air. Getting the PureZone working was as simple as taking the plastic wrap off the 3-stage filter and installing it behind the easily removable front cover. Once installed, you plug it in and turn it on. Like I said, a nice change of pace.
The PureZone is equally as easy to use. There are only 4 buttons on the top: Power, Fan Speed, UV Light/Sleep and Timer. Of all these, the Sleep function is the best feature of the device. Those of us that place this in our bedrooms and must have your surrounding as dark as possible will appreciate this feature. Pressing the Sleep button starts a 10 second countdown. At the end of the countdown, the unit automatically slows the fan speed to its lowest setting and shuts off all the indicator lights on the top of the unit. Having 4 bright blue indicator lights shining up at the ceiling at night was quite bright, but the Sleep function solves that issue and helps make for a good night of sleep.
The fan is nearly inaudible on Low and barely audible on Medium. But, it is loud on its High setting. It would be nice to have an air quality monitor like my larger units have. That would enable the PureZone to dynamically adjust the fan speed based on observed air quality. However, that is just a wish and not needed to make the unit any more effective than it already is.
Having used the PureZone for a few nights in the bedroom, I can say that the air quality does seem to be better. The air smells a little cleaner and early observations seem like it has reduced the amount of dust in the air. I know I have not woken up nearly as congested as I normally do, during the allergy season we are in.
I think those looking for a reasonably priced and nearly silent (on its lowest 2 settings) air cleaner for smaller spaces (up to 200 sq. ft.) would be well served by the PureZone 200. Recommended.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
This is my 2nd Lorex camera system. My 1st system was a Lorex NVR that I have maxed out with cameras and still required more channels. Many of the Pros/Cons of the NVR system still carryover to this DVR system, but luckily Lorex has corrected some of the major Cons that were encountered during the setup of the NVR making the entire process smoother and easier.

Lorex has spent some time and attention and the bare bones initial configuration is more streamlined. Lorex should be commended on working out some of the bugs encountered on their previous systems. Initial set-up was smooth and hassle-free. Even the initial firmware update downloaded and installed without issue. Excellent work! This could not be said for my previous system.

A nice feature is that this system has simultaneous VGA and HDMI outputs for set-up. Initial resolution is 1280 x 1024, so you aren't required to have a 4k TV for initial configuration and deployment, though it is recommended for best overall picture quality. Transitioning from 1280 to 4k involved little more than a "Yes" click, as the Lorex system automatically detected that I had connected the DVR to a 4k TV via HDMI. Outstanding. This is already leaps and bounds smoother than my NVR set-up was!
Camera installation is simple. A coaxial cable, terminated with a BNC connector, along with a low voltage (12V) wire piggybacking it, are all that is needed for hook-up. A single 12V wall-wart power supply provides enough current for 4 cameras. Lorex includes a 1 - into - 4 power splitter for just this purpose. It is a great feature, as you don't need to find a 120V power source close to the camera, often mounted under the soffit of your house.

After connecting cameras and configuring recording, Lorex provides you with a QR code to download their Lorex home app via the Apple or Google Play store. What a vastly improved experience compared to last. I downloaded the app via the Google Play store and setting up the DVR for remote access couldn't have been easier. Scan the QR code for the app, install it, create an account if you don't have one, scan the QR code on the side of the DVR. Done! Remote access enabled (assuming you have hooked it up to your internet via the included ethernet cable). Remote access worked immediately. I didn't have to configure any port forwarding rules on my router to make the DVR accessible. Superb job Lorex!

Lorex's smart detection has proven very solid on my NVR and so far has performed excellently on this DVR. The notifications will alert you to a person or vehicle and if you take the time to enter people's faces into the system, will notify you of a familiar face, or not. While not flawless, it does work pretty well.
My favorite feature is still the deterrent feature of the camera. Each camera has a LED in it and is programmable so that if it detects a human or vehicle, can be configured to illuminate the area. While the LED doesn't provide enough light to enable color night vision, the simple fact that it illuminates the area is enough to make would-be criminals take notice. I have this feature enabled on my older NVR also, it has never failed to illuminate upon detection. Awesome.

Initial camera recording is set up for 4k, but at only 7 FPS. 7 FPS isn't enough to get a good, smooth image. Others have reported that 4k maxes out a 7FPS, and I can confirm that the highest quality recording option is 4k, 7FPS, 4096bps CBR. Even the sub-stream for mobile viewing is locked at 7FPS. The DVR is only equipped with a 2TB HDD, so 8 cameras recording in 4k fills that HDD up fairly quickly. Thankfully, Lorex makes it relatively easy for the end user to replace that 2TB with up to an 8TB HDD.
Lastly, I am just not sold on using old-school analog cabling for HD recording and transmission. Lorex uses an uncommon (it looks to be un-shielded) coaxial cable for installation and it is not a standard RG-6 or RG-59 coax. So, you are initially limited to that cable without purchasing extensions. You also cannot cut the cable and put a new end on it like you easily can with ethernet or common RG-6 or RG-59 cable to improve the installation tidiness. My OCD really considers this a negative. If your camera run is only a few feet, you have tons of cord looped up and hanging somewhere. Also, if your installation is further than what is supplied by Lorex, you are left looking for a solution to lengthen the cable. Were these cameras all POE, those longer runs would be a non-issue.

The Lorex app has proven to be a consistent and reliable performer on my Android smartphones and the notifications of vehicle or foot traffic are nearly flawless, rarely confusing the AI.
While I am not a fan of the overall Lorex user interface. It does have all the necessary options the user needs to configure the system and cameras. I just find it clunky and somewhat difficult to navigate. It gets easier after using it a few times, but after not using the software for some time, it is not as easy to pick back up as are Lorex's competitors like Synology.
In the end, I think Lorex has done an admiral job at refining their user experience and this kit offers a solid value for the money. I do not like the non-standard coaxial cabling for the cameras and would prefer a POE solution any day of the week. But, the coax gets the job done and with minimal fuss and drama.

The Spark is designed to work with vehicles, 1996 and newer that have an OBD-II diagnostics port under the dash. Once you download the Harman Spark app to your phone of choice, you plug the Spark into the diagnostics port of your vehicle. The Spark draws power from the constant 12V pin that is in all OBD-II ports. Once, plugged in and that app opened, you turn your car on and the Spark begins its communications with the vehicles computer system.
I tried the Spark on several different vehicles and it never failed to accurately identify my vehicle, not only by make and model, but also by VIN. Initial switching of my vehicles seemed to trip up the device, but come to find out, it appears the device takes a few minutes to successfully communicate with the vehicle, phone home, and then download the data it needs to communicate successfully with the car.
USE
Other than plugging the Spark into your car’s OBD-II port, there is not anything else mechanically to do. Everything else is handled via the Spark app. That is great feature, as it makes this an easy mission for even the most technically challenged individuals.

The Spark app is really a driving nanny & potentially a tattle tale that has a bunch of nice features. Not only will the Spark serve as a mobile vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot, but it also has many other practical uses too. The app will send you notifications if the device is removed from the car’s diagnostics port, if you are running low on fuel, if it detects that the vehicle is being towed, or if there is some sort of measured disturbance (usually a door opening or jostling of the vehicle) to name a few. Those are great features.
In addition to the instant notifications, the Spark can be set to notify you if your car enters or leaves a preset boundary (great if your teenager does not let you know they are “borrowing” the car). The app can be set to notify you if it is operated outside of user defined curfew hours (again awesome with teen drivers). It will log all trips and if the Spark detects an impact, the app and device can be configured to automatically notify your user defined emergency contacts. AWESOME!!
NEGATIVES
I have also observed several noteworthy negatives about this unit while I’ve been testing it.

First. The most obvious negative, is that this cannot be considered a real theft deterrent device. Any thief with an ounce of sense would check the OBD-II port and given the size of this device, it is easily visible in all my vehicles. So, it isn’t like installing it will make it a hidden gem for car owners or parents. While you would get a notification the device was detached, that last spot would be the last spot you would see on the app.
Second. The parameters that the Spark and Spark app record are not configurable. For example, if you make a turn, the Spark determines if you made a hard turn or a good turn. The Spark determines if you make a hard stop or hard acceleration. These parameters are not configurable, nor is the low fuel notification. Add to that, the level of fuel reported by the spark app was inconsistent as to what was displayed on the fuel gauge of my vehicles. The worst part is the disturbances feature. There is no way to adjust the sensitivity of this. I got several disturbances detected false alarms while my Tundra was parked in the garage and no one else was home. Hmmmmm…
Third. For this device to function as intended, you must buy a mobile data plan. This unit came with an AT&T sim that always worked excellently in our urban environment. But, this tech also significantly increases the overall cost of ownership, as you are basically buying an additional cellular plan for the device. That can be quite expensive, as most plans are at least $30/month, especially if you want unlimited hotspot data.
The last and most significant negative of this unit is that it flat out does not work correctly with every vehicle manufactured after 1996. This unit worked as advertised on a 2000 era Jeep and on a 2014 Tundra. It added features to the vehicles that were not available when they were produced. However, on my new Acura, it was a different story. This device literally locked me out of my vehicle and if it wasn’t for the backup key inside the fob, would have rendered me stranded. My keyfob failed to work with my car and my touch sensitive door handles failed to unlock my door. I could not get in the vehicle. Luckily, Acura gives you a backup key and I was able to get in and unplug the Spark. I know the first thing Harman is going to do is blame the driver or vehicle. But this was not a one-time occurrence. I was able to repeat these same traits a couple of weeks later. This device interrupts communications with my car. It rendered many systems inoperable. This was indeed vehicle specific, as the Jeep and Tundra didn’t have any issues, but it totally interrupts vehicle communications on my Acura. This was proven in at least 3 separate instances and 3 separate times, even with the most recent firmware installed on the device.
CONCLUSIONS
Based on my experience with this device, your level of success will largely depend upon the year of your vehicle. From what I can tell, owners of vehicles manufactured between 1996 and 2015 will likely see the biggest benefits of the device, as it brings technology that wasn’t readily available to those vehicles.

However, many, if not all, the features that the Spark offers are currently available in cars today. Most new cars have hotspots built-in, impact detection and emergency services notifications, etc. If not, most cell phones have this built-in and if they don’t, these features can be added with a free app, or an app provided by your insurance company. Why spend the extra money for a data plan for the Spark?
Lastly, based on the issues this device causes with my newest vehicle, I can’t recommend it. Many manufacturers don’t include the spare key like Acura does. If not, I’m not sure what would have happened. Shame on me for not testing the device more thoroughly before installing it and driving to test it, but I won’t be keeping it around after the evaluation period. If I want the features this device offers, I’ll download a free app for my phone and use its unlimited data plan. The same goes for my new vehicle, I’ll either use a free phone app & its unlimited data tethering or use the vehicle’s fully integrated and factory installed technology that works 100% of the time every time. Plus, I will still be able to actually get in my car and drive. What a concept.

Initial charge of the lithium-ion battery can take up to 3 hours from a full discharge. The batteries are built into the vac’s handle and the power button glows amber when charging. Once fully charged, the power button turns to a green glow indicating the unit is ready for use.

The vac has 3 operating modes. Mode 1 is UV light only. Mode 2 is the UV light with low power suction. Mode 3 is the UV light and higher-powered suction.

According to the Raycop website, the vac will eliminate 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, 99.3% of dust mites, and 99.7% of airborne allergens. Those specs are quite impressive.
Once powered up the Raycop functions like a germ-killing dust buster. The head pivots to help maintain constant contact with the surface to be cleaned and you use it just like you would any handheld vac, except this one sanitizes while in use.
The filters are easily accessible during assembly or disassembly for cleaning. Note that the dust bin is quite small, so the total amount of material that can be swept up is minimal compared to other handheld vacuums. Not that this is a negative, but if you are expecting a dust collector the size of a Dyson, you will be sorely disappointed, as this is only about 1/10th the capacity.

I sincerely do not get the point and purpose of this product. This feels like a product that was brought to market to capitalize on us germophobes’ paranoia with Covid and cleanliness.
The UV light may be “hospital grade”, but I did not see any information on how much time the light needs to be directed at a surface to kill viruses and bacteria. In addition to this lack of helpful information, the vacuum portion of this unit is weak, at best. I referenced this to a dust buster earlier in this review & it honestly feels as cheap as those 1980’s masterpieces. The suction power is about as poor as those were too, back in the day.
Lastly, is the overall size of the item itself. Raycop did a great job in designing the unit for easy assembly and disassembly. It really could not be much easier. However, there is only so much you break the unit down. Add to that, a hard plastic case to protect the unit during travel and you no longer have an “ultra-portable” product. Far from it. It is too big and would be too cumbersome to carry on a plane, as Raycop likes to brag you can do. It is also too big to pack in luggage. So big, in fact, that if I were to pack this while travelling, I would have to go from a carry on to checked baggage. That is how much room in a smaller suitcase this would take up. Who wants to check luggage if they do not have to?
At the end of the day there is not much more this product can do, aside from sweeping hotel bed sheets or couch, that you can not do with a small, travel-sized package of Clorox or Purell wipes will not do just as good. Plus, a package of travel wipes take up 1/100th the space requirement and are less than 1/100th the cost. I can buy a bunch of 99 cent travel wipes that do 99% of what this product can do, without the inherent burdens or hassles. I recommend looking for a better solution.

More Economical Entry into Roomba Ecosystem

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS & SET-UP
Having always heard that the Roomba vacs were the standard to which all others were compared to, I was looking forward to getting an iRobot. Family and friends have always talked positively of their Roomba’s, but quite honestly, the cost has always been an issue with me. With models costing upwards of $500 or more, I could not see spending that kind of cash for a robotic vacuum. With the introduction of the 694, Roomba has addressed my biggest complaint of the robotic vacuums and made a model more obtainable to many more folks. I was eager to give it a go.
Having always heard that the Roomba vacs were the standard to which all others were compared to, I was looking forward to getting an iRobot. Family and friends have always talked positively of their Roomba’s, but quite honestly, the cost has always been an issue with me. With models costing upwards of $500 or more, I could not see spending that kind of cash for a robotic vacuum. With the introduction of the 694, Roomba has addressed my biggest complaint of the robotic vacuums and made a model more obtainable to many more folks. I was eager to give it a go.
In a cost saving effort, Roomba has stripped this model of some very cleaver features that are on their higher end models. This model lacks the room mapping feature, it does not do boundaries, and there is no fancy dust collection built into its charging base, like their top-of-the-line model. The real question is: Are there too many features stripped out to have any good left in it?
USE
Initial set-up with the iRobot app and my Galaxy smartphone was not without issue. The app refused to connect to the vacuum without several attempts. With wi-fi, without wi-fi, the app would not connect to the vacuum. After a great deal of frustration and 5 or more attempts, somehow the app and robot figured each other out and it finally connected. Whew!

The vacuum required a mandatory firmware update, and that update did seem to improve the functionality of the vacuum with the app. From there on out, the app and vacuum got along better and I was able to fully set up the Roomba and get it charging. The initial charge took about 2 hours to complete and then it was off.
Like others and I have stated, this model doesn’t have any mapping features built-in. It really does aimlessly wonder around and clean your house. It is not a huge deal, but unlike competitors’ vacuums, you can’t really keep the Roomba from going where you don’t want it. It knows no boundaries. On the plus side, though, the vacuum does a much better job at finding its way around my house and furniture than my other robot vacuum from Shark. The Shark must be the dumbest smart vacuum I’ve seen. It has no finesse and no sense of direction. It wanders about, bumping and colliding into stuff the whole time. Granted, the Roomba will do the same, but it does figure out where things are at eventually. While it doesn’t seem too have many sensors on its left side, its right side (the side with the revolving brush) has numerous sensors. The Roomba will slow down as it approaches an obstacle and barely nudge it. Is the Roomba at the wall? No sweat. It will sense the wall and work its way along it. When it comes to a corner, it will magically guide itself around the corner and continue cleaning along the edge. Cool. Take note Shark.
NEGATIVES
My biggest complaint of this vacuum is its inability to clean floors with different materials. A majority of my house is hardwood, but there are several area rugs and rugs at each entry. The Roomba has no issues with the short nap rugs at the doorways, but it refuses to climb up on the heavier pile rugs. It senses an obstruction and turns away. This is not a behavior that my Shark robot vacuum exhibits. It has no issues cleaning different floor surfaces and will climb any of my rugs or carpet without issue.

My second issue with the Roomba is that it only has one cleaning brush on its right side. My Shark has 2 rotating brushes, one on each side. Each pass of the Shark ultimately cleans about 50% more floor than the Roomba just because of the additional brush sweeping dirt into the middle of the vacuum. This is a far more efficient use of time.
Lastly, the fact there is no real way to set boundaries is frustrating. I must keep and eye on the Roomba if I want it to clean my main living areas. If not, the robot will run off and keep going to all parts of the house without thinking otherwise. Don’t get me wrong, my Shark isn’t much smarter, but Shark includes some self-adhesive, magnetic tape you can put down on the floor to limit the travel and cleaning area of its vacuum. The only issue there is the fact that you would have to have ugly, black magnetic tape stuck to your floors all the time to limit travel while using. I don’t consider that a viable option either.
CONCLUSIONS
Roomba should be commended for bringing the iRobot line of vacuums down to a lower price point for the masses. The vacuum does a good job at cleaning and did not fail to remove any dirt or debris that has been on the floor while it has been running.

I feel my complaints with the unit could easily be addressed by a firmware and app update. I could be wrong, but I think it is do-able. Roomba really needs to polish their Android app. It just doesn’t play nicely with the vacuum. While I’ve been able to get my vacuum set-up and updated, I still get constant communication errors with the vacuum. I get “Unable to Communicate with the vacuum at this time, please reboot to attempt to fix the issue”. The vacuum will reboot, but the same error still comes back. I also receive errors every single time I manually check for a firmware update.
While there are issues with this vac and app, it is a better product than my Shark. Other family members disagree, as the Roomba refuses to clean the rugs, where the Shark does not. But, the overall operation of the vacuum itself is much more polished than my Shark. The Roomba will sense objects and slow down to mitigate the amount of force it contacts items with, and can clean its way around walls and corners. This is something my Shark vacuum only wishes it could do. I would rate the overall satisfaction a 3, but because the Roomba cleans with so much more finesse than its comparably priced competitor, I will give it a 4 star rating.

The advertisement and stated processor says its a 9th gen i7-9700 however if you click on the pdf information for this computer it states that it is an 8th Gen i7-8700? Also indicates that graphics are onboard and not the GPU?
It is the 9th Generation 9700 processor with an nVidia GTX 1660Ti graphics card. I believe all the Intel processors include onboard graphics.

Mine did not work correctly with a Surface Pro, even with a powered hub. It has worked perfectly with every other computer and/or laptop I've tried it with, though.

Difference between the 2016 vs 2017 models? Any one what the pros/cons?
From my research, it appears the big differences are that the 2017 models come with LG's latest OS installed (WebOS 3.5 vs WebOS 3.0). LG has also worked some magic on the video processing too. They are now able to get more detail in the very darkest portions of an image, where the 2016 models would sign off on the darkest details earlier & just represent them as total black. Lastly, they able to tweak the light output on the panels to improve overall brightness, which was a common complaint of the 2016 models that were installed in fairly bright rooms from what I have heard.

When is bestbuy going to sell the LG B7 65 inch model?
I don't think they will. It is my understanding that the B7 is identical to the C7, but intended for Costco and/or Sam's only.
