Bought this item 2 days ago, brought it home and connected it. When we powered it on, the main box (sender box) would not stay on. I called Rocketfish customer care and they said it must be faulty. Returned the item and got a new one. Connected it and did the same thing. The power button would stay on unless I had one rear speaker wire connected. But as soon as I connected the second rear it would shut off. Called customer care again and was told AGAIN it must be faulty (hard to believe twice in a row). Finally called LG to verify my surround sound specs and was told the system is not compatible with any item that was not specifically made for my model. Not sure if it’s true for all LG models (since the store associate said it is compatible with LG), but if you have the LHB535, don’t waste your time buying the Rocketfish. I didn’t want to give this product a one star, but I can't give it 5 stars.

I have been searching for wireless speakers for my system for a long time, probably many years. I could not find an affordable or practical speaker set that would accommodate me. I finally spoke to a BB employee who referred me to this wireless setup that used my original surround speakers. I was actually pessimistic that the sound quality and reception would make it work it. Brought it home, set it up, calibrated my whole system. Now I would never know the difference that it was wireless. you have one wireless receiver and one broadcaster. plug your speakers in the receiver and plug your broadcasters in to your appropriate speaker connections on the sound receiver component system. Real easy if you ever wire speakers to your sound system before. I kept the box in case I had to return it but I can see me using this simple set up for a long time.
What's great about it: Good reception, clean sound, no distortion, limits the wire mess without fishing
What's not so great: Can't think of anything wrong with it yet

I was looking for a wireless solution to my surround sound speakers and purchased this system with high hopes. Everything connected great and all lights came on but no sound came from speakers. I tried multiple combinations and even exchanged system for another but had the same results. Very disappointing.

I was hesitant to buy this unit after having read so many negative reviews. But, I thought, I could always return it if it didn't work. Well, I'm returning it.
Set up was a breeze--took about 10 minutes. The sending and receiving units look good and seem to be well built. My primary concern was that I have a Netgear 802.11n wireless network in my home, and I knew interference could be a problem. It wasn't. Just a thought: those experiencing interference might want to change the broadcast channel on their wireless router.
I was happy to find that the system worked well (at first). I did have to reduce the time delay to the rear speakers by all of 2 ms, as there is a tiny added time delay in getting signals to the rear speakers. I also found the digital amp introduced a small but perceptible amount of noise to the rear channel, but I could live with that.
And now the bad news. Within minutes of use, the amp started to spontaneously shut down. There wasn't an obvious short, like touching speaker wires. Perhaps a breaker was tripping, but why, I don't know. If I hit the power button, the amp (a.k.a. the receiver) would come back on, but within minutes it would shut down again. This got old fast and is simply unacceptable. I'll find another way to wire up my rear speakers.

The light status of each device claims it is "connected" but absolutely no audio would go through (yes I turned up the volume on the sender). The test tones for my receiver would cause the sender device to actually make a rapid clicking sound. I suspect this is not good, although I could conceive of a properly functioning device perhaps being a bit noisy. However, it simply won't function. The rear speakers work fine when connected directly with the same wires, but not when using this RocketFish device. I may just have a defective device, but since I'm 1.5 hours away from nearest Best Buy now I'm no longer patient enough to exchange it and perhaps have to return it yet again. So, I'm just returning it and getting a refund.
What's great about it: If it would work, lack of cables

This unit is intended for a A/V home theater system. The wires and connections it comes with will not work with a computer 5.1 system without further modification. Hooking the system up was simple and straight forward. If the technicians would change he transceiver frequency from a less common frequency to one that is less used then my rating would be just below excellent for the money.
What's great about it: Does away with rear speaker wires across the room
What's not so great: Too much crackle and popping on and off from speakers
