I like that it continued from season 10. I would like to have seen General O'Neil return for the final movie and season. This is a great movie if you are a true Stargate SG1 fan.

If you are a dedicated fan of Stargate SG-1 you will love this movie, it ties up the Ori story line and is a good end to the overall story line and doesn't have a cheesy final scene like in the end of season 10.

The movie itself was ok, the sequal was plot wise better, but in terms of conclusion of the Ori arc, it was at least satisfactory. Reasons for events were shakey, rushed, or hard to understand, but in general it was alright.
What's great about it: It was stargate, which is always amazing.

I have been a pretty avid Stargate fan for a while. And if you are buying this then you at least have probably seen the end of SG-1. Well this movie picks up where season 11 would have if the show had not been canceled. It finishes the Ori storyline within our galaxy. Basically here's a quick summation. Daniel Jackson finds a weapon developed by an ancient on a planet. The weapon itself isn't destructive, it's just a weapon that reveals the truth of the universe to anyone who sees it. They find the weapon but can't activate it without the code, and every attempt to fight the Ori in our galaxy is being thwarted by Vala's daughter whom has now ascended to become the only Ori god left. And because she's the only one left, she gets all the power. Once we have an idea of how to attack, the team is kidnapped and we are helped out by an ancient, Morgan LeFay, that speaks to Dr. Jackson. At the end is a quick but none the less all out Ascended on Ascended battle between Morgan LeFay and Adria. We find out the code for the weapon and use it on an Ori Doci (Because all their staves are linked together telepathically, so we can hit them all at once.) and we of course win. The movie overall isn't too bad, and definitely a must have if you are collecting the series on DVD or Blu-ray. I will say this, there is one beautifully done shot of Teal'c walking towards the Ori HQ like Moses with a staff that looks both nice and funny. As usual the Digital Matte Paintings and Visual Effects are just a notch above what's in the show. I will say definitely worth a 4 out of 5.

"Stargate: The Ark Of Truth" pretty much wraps up SG-1's battle against the next big thing after the Go'auld. Missing was General Jack O'Neill but the rest of the crew was all present and accounted for. Included in the fight was a member of the International Oversight Committee who nearly destroys any chance of winning the battle. Definitely not for casual fans of sci-fi. This was meant for Stargate fans who had watched every season (10 of them) especially the last two that contained the Ori story arc. And no fear fans...Adria is back and with a vengeance. Probably the best villainous ever in Stargate lore. Maybe the end of a great television show...but you can always start from the beginning and watch it all over again.
