Does not work with Windows 7

I was able to get it working on Windows 7 Beta. Now that I have upgraded to Windows 7 RC1, it will not work at all. Tried Hauppauge's newest drivers, newest WinTV 7 software. When it was working, it worked very well. I have worked in IT Support roles for 10 years, so I do understand how to get one of these working. I know...Windows 7 is still in beta and RC releases. But, there are other tuners that work fine in Windows 7. The newest drivers are dated in March, 2009 and do not work with Windows 7. These drivers should work. Also, The Media Center support page for Hauppauge lists Windows 7 as supported. It is not supported, as Media Center will not detect the USB device. I would recommend this if it worked.
What's great about it: Great Quality Video (when it worked), Good Performance, USB
What's not so great: WinTV 7 (newest version) does not work with Windows 7. Media Center does not detect the device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Hauppauge WinTV-950Q (model 1191) is supported by an inbox driver on Windows 7, and as such Microsoft does a considerable amount of testing as part of the Windows 7 release process. Hauppauge has the Windows 7 final RTM release and the 950Q is testing and functioning properly with Win7.

Wish it worked better, the usb "occasionaly" goes away, the software is quirky and crashes.
What's great about it: Small/Light/easy to carry
What's not so great: Software is quirk, usb doesn't always stay awake so disconnects are frequent
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great infrared remote control for your computer

I was excited to install this adapter on my laptop so I can watch TV. However the included portable antenna was so weak I could only get one channel where I live. Fortunately the only channel that came in is in HD and the picture quality is excellent.( Oddly enough you need a TV adapter similar to this to configure your Windows Media Center properly)
The one and most significant redeeming feature is the infrared remote control. Together with Windows Media Center, the wireless remote gives you control over your PC. This means you can control everything from your music collection, videos, TV and even turn off your computer!! Plus, it also works with iTunes.
So if you have cable or a really good aerial antenna and you're looking for a TV adapter and a DVR for your computer, look no further. The Hauppage TV Stick has an excellent remote control that easily turns your computer into a real multimedia center you could dedicate to your big screen TV.
However, if you're expecting good TV reception just from the portable antenna, try a different brand.
What's great about it: Excellent remote capabilities, no driver needed with Windows Vista and 7
What's not so great: Poor TV reception using portable antenna

there is a problem with compatability so don't bother buying this until Windows has the bugs out of Windows 7. It looks like the perfect solution to our television recording but won't work on our computers because we have too much memory. WHAT? Found it to be a common problem among other people with the item. Not the tuners fault, just another Windows bug.
What's great about it: I don't know what's great about it because it doesn't work with Windows7 and 4Gig of memory
What's not so great: The tuner doesn't work with Windows 7 on a computer with more than 3Gig of memory even though it says it works with Win7
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Installed on computer using XP SP3, did not work, gave me User.dll errors, the customer service blames Microsoft software, no help at all. Returned!
What's great about it: Small and nothing to install in computer.
What's not so great: Did not work on my computer, customer support.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I think they should keep instructions only to the model thats in that package.Turn screw B (MODEL8765 only) and so on.
What's great about it: not bulky
What's not so great: better instructions
