The story mode so far is great. I am an online player and have only spent a short time in story mode. As far as the online play goes, I have completely enjoyed the new experience. The new version includes lots of extras such as accolades, emblems and death streak bonuses. They have worked on lobby connectivity issues. The game now searches for the best host and will move the game to another host if one is lost or experiencing problems. The kill streak rewards have been greatly expanded and there are now death streak bonuses. There are so many new additions that it would take a book to describe them all. Most of the new features are right on target for great game play. I do miss having grenades and claymores at the same time but that is really my only complaint. Overall I give this game an A+ rating. It is by far the best online war game out there.
What's great about it: UI improments, lots of non-play related bonuses to keep you working for them.
What's not so great: Can't have claymores and granades. That sucks!

This game is great! It has amazingly addictive multiplayer and thrilling storyline. The story can be misleading and its short but the great multiplayer conpinsates that. I would recommend this game to everyone!

I've always been a fan of the Call of Duty franchise, and to be honest it was getting a little repetitive. Until Modern Warfare 2. This game places you in the boots of two heroes and takes you through various parts of the world in the search for a terrorist leader. The game is filled with non-stop action and suspense. It's more or less like playing through a movie. I would recommend this game to any PlayStation 3 gamer with confidence.
What's great about it: The look and feel of the game, great replayability (multiplayer)
What's not so great: Price, length of single player campaign

The game is great and IMHO it keeps the quality of COD4. Graphics and sound are the best, perfect for a 42” screen and a 5.1 sound system. I just completed the basic story and started playing online. The game system is pretty similar to that of COD4, so you will find it familiar. I liked the story, even when it is short, but not that bad, not different from the length of COD4, about 9 hours of playing (so don’t be surprised, you won’t find a bigger game here). For me, still worth the 60 bucks. I played from the beginning in difficult (I always do that) and I defeated without too much problems. Difficulty was ok, maybe a bit easier than COD4, but if you are an expert in COD4 it is not very unlikely that you would finish the game in about 5-7 hours. Some stages are too short and left you wishing for more, like at the very beginning with the big machine gun up in the humbee, shooting enemies for about 30 seconds and then to the floor, and then you saying “that’s all? I want more!!!”. Also I found some bugs that are not serious but ruins some of the effects of the game: dogs and enemies doing stupid thinks and getting stuck (you know, going back and forward very quickly), and aiming with the sight of a sniper rifle in the side of the target and the bullet hit the guy anywhere, and the opposite, aiming to the target and bullets don’t hit him. Continuity has some flaws, like your partner is coming after you and then he is waiting for you ahead (similar finding than killzone II, but not that bad). Even so, the game is well polished and the whole experience is quite intense. I have to admit that I miss the intense battles found in killzone II, I did not find that big and intense battles here. The online is awesome, I can’t tell you too much about it because I am a pretty new player, but so far it is amazing. So, I give the game a solid 5. It deserves a buy.
What's great about it: Graphics, sound, fun, game itself
What's not so great: some bugs, short game, short individual campains some times

I gauge a great game by how quickly I lose track of time. Lets just say I have lost a few days with this one. A word of advice. If you have a surround system, get some earphones. My wife told me it sounded like we lived on the Iraqi front lines and if I wanted to continue playing I would have to find a way to silence it.
