The Blue Ray of JJ Adams Star Trek is the way of the future of High Quality movies. It is the next best thing to the theater.
The added benefit of the Badges was a plus from a collectors point of view, very cool.
What's great about it: This version of the Origin of Star Trek is Kick Butt start to finish.
What's not so great: If you are not a Star Trek Original Series fan you may not understand the references.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This Bluray disk is amazing - incredible picture and sound, and an awesome film. The characters are well-cast, they embody the spirit of the original Star Trek crew, and the film is action-packed and funny.
The gift set itself is great, with four insignia pins that I am so glad I have.
My only beef was that shipping took seven days from the day I was notified it had shipped, and the tracking numbers were useless.
What's great about it: The movie is awesome, great special features, beautiful picture and sound
What's not so great: Delivery took FOR. EVER.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A very nice package. The badges are set in a nice display ready for a shadow box. The movie and extras are great!
What's great about it: They did the original series justice
What's not so great: Nothing

This Blu-Ray set of the new Star Trek movie has great packaging with the inclusion of the uniform pins, and the extras on Disc 2 give Star Trek geeks, like me, the chance to do something we've always wanted to do ... fire the ship's phasers and torpedoes in the walk-around tour of the Enterprise ... very clever!
What's great about it: Fantastic gift set for the Star Trek geek in you.
What's not so great: Wish they would have made a Director's Cut set with all the deleted footage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

J.J. Abrams does an incredible job bringing the Star Trek franchise back to life. This new movie, whether you want to call is a reboot (remake), a sequel or a prequel, bring Star Trek to a new generation in a bold and exciting way while still capturing the essence of what Star Trek movies have been for over 30 years. The new cast does a great job of honoring as well as reinventing the original crew of the Enterprise from the 60's TV show and the action heavy style helps bring in new fans for future Star Trek films.
The special effects really come alive on this Blu-Ray, whether it's the newly designed Enterprise or just the transporter sequence.
I've watched this movie with fellow Trekkies/Trekkers as well as some who have never even watched a single movie or episode but EVERYONE has truly enjoyed this movie and can't wait for the next one.
A couple fun cameos, which I will not name just in case you don't know, really bring in a couple laughs for all and some fun memories for true Star Trek fans.
What's great about it: Incredible special effects. Tons of extra features. Great reboot/sequel/prequel to continue the Star Trek Legacy
What's not so great: Collectable Star Trek insignia pins don't really come with a special display case like the product describes.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Writers, actors & special effects people did a great job. Would recommend
this movie to people of all ages that enjoy sci fi.
What's great about it: The interation of the actors is great. DVD & pins great.
What's not so great: Unable to find anyware else but happy found here

I felt this movie was appealing to non-trek fans as well as Trek fans. Just overall a great action movie, and you don't need to know the characters ahead of time. Also, the actors were spot-on. They seemed to stay very true to the characters without "mimmicking". The special effects and storyline were awesome. As a Trek fan and kowing the Star Trek history as I do, I was a little disappointed with a couple of minor timeline issues, but it was not enough to damper the movie at all. This is not a rent, this is a strong buy now!!
What's great about it: Great movie, actors true to the characters
What's not so great: Some minor prequel inconsistencies
I would recommend this to a friend!
