I'm not going to write to much about this movie, because it is a good movie, and maybe just as good as Toy Story and Monsters Inc. Yes, it is good, but that doesn't mean it's perfect. Here's my pros and cons list.
Pros: Blu-ray is outstanding and excellent Sneak peak to movies in blu-ray Good movie, plot, and visuals are good Interesting, good message
Cons: Wierd characters that seem like they should have had a bigger roll or should have had bolder personalities.( Seem like there wasn't enough screen time for them.) Pretty good, but not spectacular spectacular spectacular
What's great about it: Great visuals, blu-ray, good movie
What's not so great: good plot, but wierd characters

Most importantly, I am very happy that the aspect ration that the movie is in fills the screen. I hate when widescreen bars are on a widescreen tv. It aslo come with a DVD and Digital copy, very nice. The movie itself was good, I wasn't sure what to expect from it. Story is solid with very entertaining and surprising characters. All previous Pixars movies have been great, Up is no different.
What's great about it: Very happy Disney FINALLY used a good aspect ration

I went to the movies and saw this in 3D and I didn't get much out of it. I purchased the movie and I still feel that way. Not to say that this is a bad film, no not at all because the company's grace is all over it. I watched the films bonuses and saw how they actually went to South America to get an understanding of the mountains which became paradise falls in the film. I have always respected Pixar for putting certain amounts of realism to their films. That brings me to my next point, Carl shouldn't be in anyway shape or form to perform some of the things he did in the movie. I know, I know its just a movie, but come on the level of strength he shown in the movie is ridiculous. The other thing is that the antagonist should have been dead a long time ago before Carl even began to think he was old. Overall this film is good despite the fact that they should have did something with the aging of the characters. Doug is a funny, very funny character. I say Pixar does it again so go get this one. It is very emotionally driven for the women, action packed for the men and good family fun for the kids.
What's great about it: Pixar's growth in animation apparent in this one; Doug
What's not so great: Just wasn't on par with the other pixar films

I thought this movie was fantastic. The characters were a part of the story, and even though they're weird, it makes it wonderful. I almost cried when Ellie and passed and here's Karl trying to figure things out after his wife is gone. It was sweet how he always tried to get that trip to Paradise Falls in before one of them went, but sadly he couldn't. He was a sweet guy, and is even throughout the movie. He may seem rude, and grumpy but he actually cares about Russel, Dug or Kevin the..weird bird. At the end, I was glad that he realized that Ellie's adventure was being with Karl, and that's why when turned around and decided to save everyone important! Lulz. GREAT MOVIE.

If you're buying Blu-ray, Pixar movies are simply the best. Between Wall-E, Cars, Monsters, Inc., A Bug's Life, and Ratatouille, I don't think any other studio comes even close to offering you a clearer picture and better sound. This movie is very touching, and you will enjoy the adventure they take you on for 96 minutes.
The characters are endearing and charming. Even though the main character is a somewhat bitter old man, they make it clear that even at an old age, one can manage to grow.
Pixar always manages to make a film that appeals to adults and kids...and that's VERY difficult. We've asked several children what they remember about the movie. Many of them remember the little things like the dog, Doug, yelling "Squirrel!" and little jokes here and there. You may find the subtle things to be where the movie succeeds. I for one love the handprint on the mailbox, and the wonderful continuity of the grape soda pin.
Also, not to give anything away, but the "married life" montage at the beginning of the movie may be the best 4 minutes you will ever see in any animated film ever. It is emotional, powerful, and brilliantly put together. And actually, upon second viewing, it hit me even harder.
I can't recommend this film enough - it's a blast from start to finish.
What's great about it: Picture quality, sound mix, story
What's not so great: Probably didn't need to be 4 discs? Who cares? It's great.

Great movie that may be a little difficult for younger children to watch since it outlines a miscarriage and death. Besides that sad overtone, it's a great movie that everyone can enjoy. The cloud short was a great one that many people enjoy. Dug's adventure short isn't that great but doesn't hurt to watch it.
What's great about it: Great Movie and it comes with that great Pixar short with the clouds
What's not so great: I'm a big hater when it comes to Blu-ray packaging. Discs easily fall out of the cover when opened.
