You can use HDMI 2.0 cables on this set, it will still accept the older HDMI cables however if you want to get the best picture you can and handle 3D as well as 4K, I recommend getting really good cables like the Monster 4k platinum.Hope this helps

I am looking at the 70" 4K Ultra TV, but want to make sure it will handle the following configuration. I intend to have 2 cable providers, DirecTV and Xfinity each with their own receiver and HDMI cables connected to two different HDMI inputs on this TV. Can I go to the DirectTV input to watch that cable provider and then switch to the Xfinity input when I want to watch its cable offerings?Thanks, Ernie
