I read 1.4 is the most current version to be able to handle higher bandwith. I assume this product is 1.4 because of the features, but I just wanted to make sure.
THE SPECS I REMEMBER ARE 10.2 GB WIDTH, AND IS A 24' CORD. IT'S HDMI DISPLAY FACTORS ARE MORE TRUE TO LIFE COLOR, AND VIVIDNESS, THAN EVERY OTHER CORD I'VE FOUND FOR DEVICE TO DEVICE DISPLAY; BAR NONE!!! AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A HDMI PORT, YOU'RE STRAIGHT!!! LOGITECH ARE THE "MASTERS" OF ACCESSORIES TO COMPUTER TYPE DEVICES. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN ABLE TO DEPEND ON THEIR TECHNOLOGY!!!
Yes, this cable is version 1.4 and supports 1080p resolution, Deep Color, Lip Sync, 3D TV, 7.1 surround sound, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, HDMI Ethernet Channel (HEC), Audio Return Channel(ARC)and most screen refresh rates.
Depends on what you mean by shielded. Almost if not all electronic cabling is vulnerable to a lo-level nuclear Electro-Magnetic Pulse; but I have had my cabling hooked up in a smalltown setting with other telephone high-speed internet cabling and have experienced no detectable impact or cross-over feed. If you are under a TV tower, high voltage transmission tower or electronic towers, I would check with your Best Buy Geek Squad local store which should have visibility of any problems experienced in your vicinity. Hope this helps. Zen
