Hi there,
The cable configuration you describe should be sufficient. In general, when running cables in a permenant fashion like you describe, it never hurts to run an extra HDMI cable at the same time. This can either be used to hook up a future component, or to act as a back-up if one of the first two ever goes faulty.
Another optional connection you could consider would be an extra optical cable running directly from either your HDTV box or your BluRay Player (whichever you use most often) to the CineMate sound bar. This would connect to the ‘AUX’ input and help ensure you have the highest quality sound from your primary player at all times. This can be beneficial, but is certainly not necessary.
We hope this helps. If you have further technical questions about setup, you might want to discuss things over the phone with one of our Bose support specialists. In the USA you can call 1-800-711-5772; Hours are 8:30AM-10:00PM M-F, Sat 9-7:00 EST
