Do any other inputs - such as a DVD or Blu-Ray player - work? If you aren't sure, try checking to see if audio comes from those ports - that information may be useful if a technician is necessary.
You might try:
1. Resetting (or unplugging and plugging in) your DirecTV box - just to refresh it and make sure the box isn't the issue.
2. Check your cables - both at the TV and the Cable box.
If that doesn't help, you may try calling the Best Buy Geek Squad for further assistance. It's likely that your set is still covered by warranty, and if you need a repair, you may be able to get that scheduled.
