The Hz of an image is the frequency of the signal that is being sent to the TV. Although in this case, the term also refers to the frames per second the image is displayed at, on the panel itself. A 60Hz image is shown at 60 FPS, and a 120Hz image is shown at 120 FPS. The more frames per second, the smoother the motion (especially for fast action sports or movies) and the more of the signal you will see.-MrSamsung

The UN65EH6000 is actually not a Smart TV, however the ES6100 and higher will offer the Smart TV features like Apps and the Web Browser.-MrSamsung

The Information Bar is displaying the incoming picture signal.The television will upconvert the resolution and display the picture at 1080p/120Hz.

The Information Bar on your screen that appears when you change inputs, channels on some cable boxes, or press the INFO button on the remote will display the incoming signal.Not all incoming signals will be 1080p resolution or 120Hz, so the television will process the signal and upconvert the signal to 1080p and 120Hz regardless of the incoming signal.
If you see 720p/60Hz, that just means your incoming signal is 720p resolution cycling at 60Hz. The television will process that picture so that it's at the native resolution of - in this case - 1080p and 120hz.

It's a numbers rating gimmick. Kind of how there has been an inflation of horsepower ratings on electric motors.Here is Samsung's explanation from their website:
Experience sharp picture quality, even when you are watching fast-moving images like sports or action movies. Clear Motion Rate was developed to accurately measure how well an LCD or LED TV can depict fast-moving images. Previously, motion-clarity was calculated by the frame refresh rate alone. But CMR offers a more complete measure by calculating 3 factors: frame refresh rate, image processor speed and backlight technology. A CMR of 240 - 480 takes motion-clarity to the next level. LED TVs with this CMR can display action-packed movement with even sharper detail and deeper levels of contrast while eliminating image distortion.

I'm sorry for the confusion, but the UN65EH6000 actually offers a 120Hz panel with a Clear Motion Rate of 240. CMR is Samsung's more comprehensive and accurate measure for TV motion clarity. As a company, Samsung does not feel that the Hz of a panel alone is a completely accurate measure of the motion quality that can be produced by the Samsung LED TVs. Thus, Samsung uses three key points to help produce world-class motion clarity:* Panel refresh rate: Samsung's screen refresh rate significantly improves motion detail and resolution by sampling the image more frequently, leading to smoother, more fluid movement.
* Image processor: Samsung's proprietary image processing technology is faster and more responsive than conventional image processors, as it interpolates intermediate frames to smooth out the image.
* Backlight technology: Samsung's backlight regulates output precisely in synchronization with the screen refresh to lessen the time it is lit, reducing ghosting and motion blur.
The Clear Motion Rate represents all of these features working in harmony to produce stunning motion clarity. Please note, the CMR rating is not a refresh rate. This means that the CMR of this set is 240, but it does not mean that it supports 240Hz.

Due to the nature of the cross compatible connectors (HDMI, Composite(RCA yellow/red/white), Component(red/green/blue), Optical), almost all devices will work with the Samsung TVs, regardless of manufacturer. There are no special converters required. Aforementioned Cables will be required for normal operation.-MrSamsung

You will want to connect the game system's RCA composite or component RGB cables to the TV's component/composite combination input using the supplied adapters (the audio red and white cables will go into the appropriately colored inputs; however, the yellow video cable will go into the green video input for a composite connection).-MrSamsung
