Battery life is really good. I use my tab pretty heavily through the day. Streaming Netflix, browsing my news sites, social networking, and the battery easily lasts all day and into the next. I generally charge it overnight , so I always have a full batt in the morning. But I can play or stream music all day without worrying about the battery.
This can vary on screen settings, number of Apps running and other variables. It's difficult to even nail down a minimum or maximum, but overall, it would be based on the use of the device.
There is a program for photos that allows limited editing of pictures like cropping and tweaking the contrast and brightness. It also allows framing and some preselected scenes like black & white, retro, etc. I would imagine you could download something from the google playstore that does more than the preloaded app I've been using.
i would like to know if the storage that can be expandable includes apps and games. for example if i put in a 64gb memory card. will i have 64gb of storage to hold games and apps and movies?
Yes it will give you more storage. Maybe not the full 64gb after formatting it. be like 59-60gb.. But still alot of storage for movies, videos,pictures..
Whether or not you can use expandable storage on any device for apps and games is dependent primarily on whether or not the programmer allowed for that option with their app or game. Some apps are written to be a resident on the main device storage in order to be functional. Additionally, some games and apps don't perform as smoothly when they are not resident on the device's storage. You can typically though use expandable storage for movies, videos, pictures and music files which are very storage intensive items on all devices.
I use an app called MySMS but you have to have it on both your phone and tablet for it to work and you have to have your phone on for it to work. It bascially syncs with the phone texts and sends them to the tablet.
If you have Verizon wireless there is a app that lets you receive text messages and send out messages from your tablet. Otherwise you could get the app Whatsapp which also allows you to send text messages for free. Both require you to be connected to the internet via wifi and the apps walks you thru the set up process with your phone number. Make sure to look for the apps in the Android play store and/or Samsung Apps store. Hopes this helps
To answer my own question....bought and returned. Only pogo games made for android are available for this tablet.. If you want the pogo that you play on the internet, you need a tablet with windows.
I watch alot of videos and clips online on my Galaxy Tab 8.9, it has Adobe Flash, but i just recently ordered the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0, and i was wondering if it would have a better, or similar web browsing experience.
While many sites will work, not all sites will be compatible with streaming or intensive embedded objects. You may want to try browsing in the store or check your favorite sites first to see if they are supported.
