This unit is adequate for most tasks. With an HDMI input, the clarity and contrast are improved. Not the most responsive of monitors(some videos tend to smear or blur on motion). I'm not a gamer so overall it is a big giant screen with a small price tag.

I needed a new phone and I had an Iphone 5. I wanted one the same size because the newer phones are too big to wear in my work pants side pocket. The 5SE is the same size (so my case and such still fit) but it has the internals of a 6. So far good battery life, good performance. The Verizon activation was a little tricky but it worked.

Good player, responds very fast. Inexpensive Blue-Ray player. We already have a Roku player so we didn't need the smart functions. It is only wired Ethernet (no wi-fi) , but in our case we didn't need it so we couldn't pass up the price. We have never used the smart functions so can't comment on that part.

Put this in an Asus quad core desktop. Much faster than the 1tb 7200rpm drive that came in it(which is a nice data drive in it now). The Acronis based software worked good for cloning my Windows drive. So far so good. The only negative is that it does not come with a 3.5" bracket for desktops. A little velcro to the inside of the drive bay fixed that though. That is why it gets 4 not 5 stars.

Bought this for bedroom tv. Was cheaper than the Sharp version we bought a few months before. Not as good as picture as the Sharp but it costs less (so there is a trade off). The ROKU operating system works very fast and well. My only misgiving is that our two year old version of this tv (with built in DVD) is acting up. I question how good the quality control and longevity is on Insignia brand.

bought this to replace 10 year old Sharp 32". This tv has a great picture, motion on screen is superb, and has ROKU built in. Been a fan of Sharp tvs for a long time. This one is as good as older ones. The wi-fi is fast, it connects quickly, and never loses connection. We just bought a Samsung 55" smart tv and the Sharps operating system is so much faster. It changes apps instantly, unlike the Samsung.

It depends on how close the strike is. If it hits directly to a device plugged in, it may only survive one strike. How does turning up and down the volume work do you have to do it on the tv? Or is it on the remote
It is on the side of the ROKU remote. Along with a mute button also.
