Easy & High Tech

This was the first non-manual toothbrush I've ever used. The device itself is very streamlined, and easy to use, with each function being self explanatory. The toothbrush links with a phone app, that lets you set brushing goals and guides you through your 2.5 minute brushing routine - showing each area to brush. After brushing, it displays sections that need more attention next time (photo attached). I was amazed when I first started using the Sonicare brush, to realize that I did NOT spend enough time brushing when I used a manual toothbrush. It quickly answered the initial question in my mind of "do I really need an app to tell me how to brush my teeth". It also reminds me to floss and rinse. The sensation of using the Sonicare was pleasant. I was concerned that it might hurt my gums or sensitive areas of my teeth but there is absolutely no pain or unpleasantness, and it leaves my teeth feeling very clean, almost like after a dental cleaning. This brush will definitely help improve oral hygiene habits.

Elegant and Responsive

The Pixel came in a simple box with no instructions, except to turn it on. The on-screen instructions were easy to follow and the transfer of apps from my old phone (Maxx) was easy and seamless. I was unable to activate the phone, and had to call Verizon for assistance. She had me up and running in a few minutes and even told me about some of the features of the new Pixel. The phone itself was slim and elegant, but slippery. I felt as though it may slip out of my hands, so I quickly invested in a military style case and am more comfortable handling it with it on (plus I like the added protection). One of the first things I tried was the camera. It has an extremely fast focus, and adjusts for the light of the environment. Even in a dark conference hall, the pictures were impressive and of course easy to share. The battery life is very good. It charges quickly (takes slightly longer than the 15 minutes claimed) and lasts about 8-12 hours depending on usage. The fingerprint reader is responsive and I like using it to quickly enter the phone. The Pixel has a neat feature of a drop down express settings which has a flashlight (very handy) and a Do Not Disturb function - perfect for meetings. I also like having some of the Google features readily available like the Google Search bar and swiping to the right which brings up weather and news. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Pixel and look forward to discovering all the features.

Practical but no heart rate

The packaging and set up for the Soundsport Pulse earbuds is impressive. The instructions are easy to follow. The earbuds come with 3 different earpiece sizes. I am using the smallest size. The controls are great - in the perfect positions to easily find and operate, even when walking or exercising. There is a clip to attach to your clothing so you won't lose the earbuds when you take them out. The sound quality is really good. I connected to iHeart Radio and Google Music through my Android phone. The earbuds themselves are wonderful, so I was disappointed that the Bose Connect app did not work. I tried following their troubleshooting guide, but the app just kept saying it could not connect with the device, even though it was connected through Bluetooth and working. So, I was not able to view my heart rate (which is not a high priority, but would be an added benefit). The best feature for me is being wireless. It's nice not to deal with the cord between the phone and the earbuds. The charge time is significant (5+ hours). The earbud design is comfortable for long periods of listening.

Surprisingly Useful

The Rand McNally Overdryve was fairly easy to install and set up. There was one extra mounting plate that came with it that I did not use and am not sure what it is for. Setting up the integrations were straightforward except I was a little confused with setting the audio through the car stereo. I ended up using the built-in speakers, and like that better anyway.
At first, I questioned whether this was redundant with my smartphone. I quickly realized the advantages of the Overdryve!
The navigation system is great - I like it being on a larger screen. Plus it informs you of the speed limit (warns you of upcoming speed changes too), dirt roads, and construction.
The other features I found useful were the phone calling and camera. I usually wear my bluetooth earpiece for calling while driving, but that can irritate my ear. This allows me to easily talk and drive safely.
The camera features are amazing - with dash cam being very easy to see and operate.
I was concerned at first with the size of the device (about tablet size), but it does not hinder visibility at all. I was also concerned with the weighted base moving (I believe this is a separate accessory), but it seems to be staying in place securely on the dash.
I think the text messaging may be distracting, so I have chosen not to sync those for the time being.
My husband is considering hooking up the OBDII for vehicle diagnostics.
One of the best features is the magnetic hookup between the tablet and the base. It makes connecting the tablet quick and easy. I take the unit off it's base when parked so it does not tempt thieves.
Overall, a surprisingly useful device! I'm very happy with it and look forward to using it more.

Thoroughly impressed

The EA9500 Linksys Wi-Fi Router is a serious looking device. At first I wondered if we even had a need for this router in our home environment. We do however, run about 8-10 Wi-Fi devices and stream Netflix and YouTube through our HD TV. I also rely on the internet for my business even though we get poor service in our rural location (only 1.5 Mbps download - yes, you read that number correctly).
Taking the router out of the package, the first impression is that of a quality product. The setup was extremely easy, even for a non-technical person like myself. The instructions amazingly simple and clear.
After connecting my devices, I was eager to test out the YouTube streaming through our TV since this was an almost impossible task - with so many pauses to buffer - that it was extremely frustrating. I was absolutely stunned that I could watch a video, with only slight pauses occasionally (no buffering). With our poor internet speeds, I can only attribute this to the router. I am thoroughly impressed.

The Linksys Max-Stream AC1900+ Wi-Fi Range Extender claims on the box to eliminate dead zones and boost coverage. I was skeptical because since we moved into our home six years ago, we have been struggling with poor internet conditions in my office, which has a wall separating the router and my computer. I am not able to run an Ethernet cable between them. I wasn't sure if a Wi-Fi extender would even help, since most of the problems stem from slow and poor line conditions from our provider, due to our rural location.
The W-Fi extender came well packaged with two manuals; a Quick Start Guide and a Regulatory Information booklet. The Quick Start Guide was easy to follow with clear instructions.
The device itself is simple yet seems durable. I followed the step by step directions and the extender was able to connect with my router using WPS. I then connected my PC to the new .Ext network without too much trouble. My mobile devices also found the new network and I connected them.
I am using the extender to hopefully increase Wi-Fi coverage and to boost signal strength.
After using it for a few days, I have noticed slight improvement in Wi-Fi coverage on my phone and tablet, increasing it to full strength. My desktop computer already had full strength bars using both my regular and the extended network. Of course it won't increase our internet speed, but it seems it will make our Wi-Fi connections a little more reliable and consistent, and extend the range throughout the house.

That would be a setting on you computer - under the Sound setting. When you plug in the the earphone jack, it should play back in your headset. If you want to hear it through your speakers, unplug the earphone jack (leave the microphone jack plugged in to record).
