The film is full of color and style that at first glance seems to capture the environment of Ghost in the Shell perfectly. Though one viewing cleared up that miscommunication right away. While GitS is definitely sewn into the film, this film plays out more like a "hits" list of over stylized and underrealized segments brought together by director who doesn't have enough creative gull to push the film over the top and into proper territory. I'm not one to weigh the film up against the original, nor any of its follow up features, or even its original roots in manga form, but I do feel if one is going to set out to make a film of the same name and characters, it should at least embody the spirit and energy of its original source, which this film fails at doing when it comes to actually telling a story. And even worse is it's watered down to appeal to the American masses - it oozes this ugliness from every pore, even down to the famous finale that opts for ugly CG to avoid the more mature content if the scene - which visually plays into the emotional value in the original GitS. There is some entertainment to be taken from the film, but ultimately left me disappointed, as I expected the film to have at least a sliver of depth to it, only to be blasted with visuals and an unnecessary plot in the end. Rental worthy at best, and that's if you're watching it with half a brain at midnight. Forget the original exists too, or else you could find yourself offended by the fragile handling of the source material.

Watching Wick 2 all I could think of is The Raid /The Raid 2 - being the first film is small, simple and punchy, then with sequel we carry what the audience has learned out into the bigger world we all live in. Wick is a one man powerhouse, even when he's struggling to keep his feet planted. This sequel is bigger and better in almost every way, leaving the door open for what to me seems like an impossible feet to top.

Those interested in purchasing this version probably already know what they're getting into with John Wick, so I'll keep this short and just say this is a beautiful steelbook - a must get with the Wick 2 steelbook.

Picked up the fantastic steelbook. Love having the option to watch the noir version, as both carry a slightly different tone throughout, but nothing changes storywise - obviously. Great film, hope to see more of X-22 in the future.

While most know of William Friedkin from The Exorcist, some more cult followers love him for Sorcerer, but this film stands just as tall - being one of the greatest crime films ever made.

This film is like many that have come before it, but at the same time it manages to be completely original. The film is shot in monochromatic black and white, adding a definite coldness to this already haunting film. The story revolves around a young girl who, as she grows older, becomes more and more lonely - adding nod to such films like Psycho and Repulsion - after the loss of her parents. This causes her behavior to be somewhat strange and off-beat, calculating towards something - towards what exactly, well I will leave that to the viewer.

This game is so great I bought it twice! Roam an open world - via Jurassic World, except the dinosaurs are made of machine! The very same machines that tried to humanity - play as the female John Connor, master of the bow, and try to reclaim Earth from the machines the humans made to begin with.
