I made the mistake of buying this after having liked Jennifer Lawrence's performance in The Hunger Game. This is just below average standard thriller fair, with no scares and a feeling of been there, done that.

This isn't Sly Stallone's Judge Dredd! While the film was a failure at the box office, this action packed reboot shows Dredd as he should have been, badass. The special effects bringing the slow motion to life are quite great and the action is brutal and bloody.

It's been several years since the last Texas Chainsaw films, so Lionsgate resurrected the series from its. The results are shockingly shoddy. The acting is quite horrible, the makeup effects are terrible and the film just isn't scary at all, with weak kills and a script that often doesn't make any sense. The special features are solid, but that's about the only thing about the film that has any decent points.
My Best Buy number: 2506464683
What's great about it: The girls are hot, I. . . I guess that's a plus
What's not so great: Everything else from the makeup effects to the script
A mysterious event from Earth's past threatens to ignite a war so big that the TRANSFORMERS alone will not be able to save the planet. Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and the AUTOBOTS must fight against the darkness to defend our world from the DECEPTICONS' all-consuming evil in the smash hit from director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg.

While the first sequel suffered from a number of problems, the second sequel to Michael Bay's Transformers trilogy is a significant improvement in every category. The special effects are virtually perfect for the most part and the film's finale features an hour of action and explosions. The picture and sound quality is to die for and the special features are great and plentiful.

With the releases of Snow White and the Huntsman, it wouldn't belong before someone would tackle Hansel and Gretel. While Huntsman took a more serious tone, Hansel and Gretel takes a more comical tone with solid practical and digital effects as well as bloody violence. The Bluray comes with a unrated cut that lasts 10 minutes longer as well as at least 30 minutes of bonus features.

Two years after the original, Michael Bay returns to direct a second Transformers film. The results, while not horrible, aren't up to par with the original. As with the first, the special effects and the action are top knotch, but there isn't much to the story and some of the jokes really fall flat. As with the first film, the Bluray is loaded with bonus features.
From director Michael Bay and executive producer Steven Spielberg comes a thrilling battle between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons. When their epic struggle comes to Earth, all that stands between the Decepticons and ultimate power is a clue held by young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf). Unaware that he is mankind's last chance for survival, Sam and Bumblebee, his robot disguised as a car, are in a heart-pounding race against an enemy unlike anything anyone has seen before. It's the incredible, breath-taking film spectacular that USA Today says 'will appeal to the kid in all of us'.

After the middling success of The Island, Michael Bay tackled a risk, bringing us Transformers. Based off the toys created by Hasbro, Transformers is a jaw dropping action spectacle, filled with out of this world special effects and amazing sequences of action. The Bluray is loaded with special features, making it a must own.

Fresh after the success of Tangled, Disney is at it again with Wreck-it-Ralph, a top knotch animated film with terrific voice acting. As for the Bluray, the picture quality and sound are A + but the bonus features are sadly lacking.
After leaving his LAPD narcotics post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with remorse and regret, Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) moved out of Los Angeles and settled into a life fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Somerton Junction. But that peaceful existence is shattered when Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the western hemisphere, makes a deadly yet spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy. With the help of a fierce band of lawless mercenaries led by the icy Burrell (Peter Stormare), Cortez begins racing towards the US-Mexico border at 250 mph in a specially-outfitted Corvette ZR1 with a hostage in tow. Cortez path straight through Summerton Junction, where the whole of the U.S. law enforcement, including Agent John Bannister (Forest Whitaker) will have their final opportunity to intercept him before the violent fugitive slips across the border forever. At first reluctant to become involved, and then counted out because of the perceived ineptitude of his small town force, Owens ultimately rallies his team and takes the matter into his own hands, setting the stage for a classic showdown.

After a long time, Arnold is back in an all new action film. While the film didn't do well in theaters, Arnold and the supporting cast of characters bring a certain charm to the film on top of the film's bloody action violence. A little hokey in spots, but it still manages to be a fun time.

Since Twilight was released to box office (rather than critical) acclaim, Hollywood has been churning out various young adult film adaptations. Beautiful Creatures falls into this category, however, unlike Twilight and several of those other films, it's a visual feast to behold and several key actors are handled by seasoned acting veterans. Fun to watch, though the film just kinda. . . .ends.
