Decent Outdoor Camera with Bright Lights

The Google Nest Outdoor Camera with Floodlights is a neat concept but needed was more fine tuning before release. I was super excited to get my hands on one of these for the front of my garage to replace the Arlo Pro 2 that was installed in that spot.
After a ton of work adding a light bucket box for mounting it flush and running power wire, it was time for the setup. I do have to mention, the layout of the packaging with literally everything you need to install, including wire nuts, is there for you.
Setup was super easy via the Home app and had it up and running in about 10 minutes. Here is where the testing started an finding out some info I should have looked into first. You have to sign up for a monthly service with Nest to use the camera more than 3 hours a day of recording. I did not need this with Arlo as I have less than 5 cameras and it keeps all my recordings I could ever need.
I did sign up for the basic service to see what the camera can do and looks like after 3 days of recording.
Positives:
Daytime recording is decent, picture quality is a 8 out of 10 as long as you do not zoom.
Setting the boundaries is not very useful for our home but did try it out and surprisingly, it works very well.
The app is quick to load and so is the video.
Lights are bright for the size.
Performance seems to be reliable and fast every time.
Doesn't miss much in the way of movement.
Picture with direct sunlight is good.
The 2 way audio works great and is super loud for such a small unit.

No 4K

Price for what you get is definitely on the high side, this should be less than $150, I can buy a Wyze camera(which I use for my business) and a $25 LED flood Light from a hardware store and get the same performance for $85 total not on sale.
No way to record to local server or hard drive on home network
Magnet Mount is strong but needs an optional bolt in from the back to deter camera theft or cover up if mounted low.

Decent Lock but Install is a Nightmare

The Yale Smart Cabinet Lock is a weird one for this review. I personally had major issues with it working as the Bluetooth would not be found easily at first coming to find out the batteries were bad in the unit, not dead, but bad, and had to buy more.
Once that was fixed, we started the install and still would have the app, which needs polishing, would drop the Bluetooth for no reason over and over. After a few calls to the customer service department at Yale, they had me uninstall/re-install the app and reset the lock. This fixed the issues and I was finally able to get the lock working.
Now, the lock is working, time to see what it does. Well, not much other than unlock when in Bluetooth range. This is great for the medicine cabinet or your cleaning supplies. Really, there is no other use for it than that as after about a day of the kids asking to get in their snack drawer, I was tired of running back and forth to unlock the drawer. I moved it to the bathroom for our medicine cabinet and I am leaving it there.
I highly recommend getting the Yale wifi access point to get more full use out of seeing what is going on besides lock and unlock and having that remote ability to unlock.
Neat idea and has potential but after the initial problems with the batteries and limited function, make sure it is a lock you want to have to get up and have your phone to unlock or buy the wifi optional equipment for full functionality.

Great Wired Replacement for Xbox X|S Controllers

The Spectra Infinity Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S is one heck of a great choice in the wired sector of controllers. The main structure and feel is very close to the original controller you use on a daily basis with some great added features.
Yes, it is wired, and I know most hate wires but guess what, wired is faster input and the best part, NO batteries to die when you are in the middle of a good game. The 10ft cable is enough for most but if it is not, a good USB extension cable is cheap and is helpful, I have to use one for my setup in the living room so kids do not trip.
Now, take the traditional design and feel we are used to and add in two mappable buttons on the back that your fingers just happen to fall on naturally, they could not have placed them any better in my opinion. Also, the mapping is on the fly adjustable as well which is great for switching gameplay at any moment.
The 3 way trigger locks are a nice touch, but I have not had to use them much personally but they are a nice option to have, I personally like the standard full throw but you can adjust them for shorter distance reaction.
The LED lighting is one of the big features that is just a gimmick for selling, is doesn't make you a better player but on stream, it looks awesome and I had a few in chat ask what the controller was and how I liked it. To switch the lighting, it is super easy and you can even change it per zone and the breathing mode is neat and matches the LED mouse and keyboard I use for a full color show.
The 3.5mm audio jack works as it should and has clear and clean sound along with it still utilizing the Dolby Access, it is a clear winner in the audio category for me.
The share button is a cool touch but I only used it a few times before I went back to my normal setup. If you are not a streamer, the share button would be way more easily used.
Another button is the one touch mute, very nice touch there and I give PowerA a 10/10 just for adding that to the design.
And last, this controller does work on PC, I have made it my PC controller for now but the test above was based off my use on the Xbox X.
If you want a great controller for gaming without the crazy price tag, but the PowerA setup and save your money!!

I Am Super Impressed!

The Satechi USB-C on the go multiport adapter has to be one of the best additions for my laptop I am currently using. My gaming laptop only has 2 UBB inputs, one USB-C input and one HDMI output. This adapter is a life saver having all the extra connections I need on a daily basis.
Using this for my GoPro video editing is amazing. Almost everywhere you look, you see people say you cannot edit a GoPro video straight from the memory cards. Guess what, with the speed of the USB-C and this adapter, it is 100% possible and work flawlessly on my new Hero 10 and with 5.3K in 60 FPS.
The HDMI Output works great as well from the laptop and I have zero issues with screen flutter or ghosting, it is at full speed and frame rate when gaming. The 2 sizes of memory card slots is great, especially for transferring data between the 2 cards.
The BIGGEST feature that this has is the added GIGA-BIT ethernet adapter port. I needed this very badly as my laptop did not have an ethernet port. The added USB ports are great as well, opening up more possibilities for this laptop.
The included VGA adapter will never be used personally and I do not have any way to see if it works as no monitors in my house use VGA anymore.
I am very happy with this adapter and highly recommend it to anyone that needs to expand the in/outputs of any computer or laptop.

I'm Enjoying this Mini Keyboard

The Logitech MX Keys Mini Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard with Backlit Keys is amazing for its size. I have made this my daily driver Keyboard for my tablet as of now.
The size is great for portability and space on a small desk or like I have used it already, in a small sales setting with a customer on the tailgate of my truck. The customer actually asked about it and said it was by far the most professional setup he has seen with 10" tablet and the Logitech Keyboard.
The batteries must last a long time, I am 5 days into using it and it is still working fine with using the back lighting almost all the time. The back lighting may be the most favorite feature for myself.
The keys are a close but comfortable spacing with a nice shape your fingers fall right into. The positive but smooth feel of the Keys help your brain know you are typing or not, you know if you did not press the key because of the way the keys feel, unusual for myself but now find myself wanting that feel on my office Keyboard.
The shortcut keys are a plenty on this setup, from Emoji Keys to Volume and lighting buttons.
The quick connection through Bluetooth and/or USB makes it easy as pie for use on anything from a Windows computer, XBOX X, Samsung tablet or phone, at least it has for me during testing.

Smooth Operator besides the Fans cheering you on

The Dell G15 with a 15.6" FHD screen is a very competent gaming laptop. Packed with the AMD Ryzen 7 and 8GB Memory paired with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Graphics card and a smallish 512GB SSD is all you need to start off gaming at a higher than beginner level.
Form and function wrapped up into one with a few quirks makes for an experience worth the money even not on sale. The form of this laptop is amazing in my eyes, looking like a set of Reebok's from the future in the movie Back to the Future. The grey and speckled looked has a futuristic but retro feel, weird to explain but the killed it. Keys feel great as well with a nice positive feel under your fingertips. Also, one huge plus over another gaming laptop I just received was the Dell has a Number pad, that is a HUGE plus for me.
The Function of it all comes together with all the above features powered by the "underdog" AMD Ryzen 7 chip. The computer never misses a beat on multiple games I tried and the 8GB of memory is never maxed but definitely could have used 16GB to get even more room for games that need it.
The Nvidia GTX works great paired with the G15's 15.6" 120hz screen. Gaming is smooth and colors are delightful and do not bleed like I honestly expected due to the last generation G15s had color bleeding.
I do have to bring up the 2 reasons for the 4 out of 5 stars. First, the computer froze 2 times during initial setup, the other computer did not. This did not make for a great start to my trying of this setup. Secondly, the FAN NOISE is annoying and obsurdly loud and it is not just loud all the time, it is a vibrating clicking noise, you have to wear headphones to drown it out. You may say this may be isolated to my unit but I know it is not once I did some research. My 2019 G15 is not loud at all, they changed something in this setup.

MSI should be at the top of your list

The MSI Delta Series in a 15.6" FHD 240hz screen is a powerhouse Gaming Laptop. With the Ryzen R7-5800 processor and Radeon RX6700M graphics card, you cannot go wrong at this price point compared to others. With a nicely sized 1TB SSD hard drive and 16GB Memory of board memory, this is a true powerhouse lap top for gaming under $2k.
Once I opened up the packaging, I dug right into setup with was effortless, no freezing like my wife's brand new Dell we got the same day which froze 2 times during setup. After setting up accounts, the first thing I did was download the software I need for gaming and streaming from Steam, Blizzard, Stream Deck, Discord and more and had zero issues with any of the software installing or loading up.
The USB-C helped with getting the Stream Deck setup and used a splitter to also run my 4K camera at the same time through the USB-C port. I added a 4K monitor for my watching my outside game stats and chat to see how well it could perform. I can say, other than no MUX support, it works flawlessly The Radeon RX6700M graphics card works amazing with the 240hz screen for the most amazing graphics experience you could ask for, even for being a smallish 15.6" screen. If this was a 17" or 19" laptop, this would be a daily driver laptop for gaming for myself. The screen is a huge selling point in my opinion, the buttery smoothness and colors are what I could see the developers using to create their games.
The Ryzen R7-5800 processor was never over worked for me at all. The highest I seen during testing running WarZone along with Discord, Stream Deck and Streaming to Twitch, not one time did I have a slow down or any glitching. Between the Ryzen R7, which I have switched all my computers to Ryzen over the past 2 years, and the 16GB of memory, you should not have an issue for streaming through this MSI laptop.
Now, the one thing that kills me is the lack of an Ethernet cable. I run all my gaming through the ethernet. But, if you have a router with WiFi 6E support, you are going to be fine. I do have 6E support within my house so I was able to benefit from amazing WiFi speeds on this laptop. But, I took it outside and walked about 100 feet from my house, I then found its downfall, 6E does not like interference or distance.
I did order extra SSD space for the 2 slots that are left open for you to expand your MSI Laptop to handle all the large games and software you can throw at it.
Temps are high during heavy gaming, yes, the fan kicks on and you can feel it move the heat through the many vents on this laptop. Did it cause an issue? NO, the MSI kept on ticking no matter what. The fan is also super quiet compared to the Dell, barely notable to be honest.
And last, I want to bring up the design. It is simple, clean, thin, and light. The keyboard lighting is amazing as well and the keys are a great size for gaming and placed well. I tried the stock and my own keyboard, the onboard is not lacking in feel and responsiveness.
Do not be afraid to buy this laptop, MSI is a top tier product and I am overly impressed with the quality and feel for the money.

The RIG 500 PRO HX XBox Gaming Headset with 3D Audio are some of the best headphones I have used for a price under $100 yet.
How are they the best you wonder? Well, for me, my $300 Turtle Beach headphones are now hanging up while I enjoy these Dolby Atmos 3D sound that is almost life-like.
Once you open the box and realize how much they can be adjusted to fit 99.9% of noggins out there but more how comfortable they are.
The ear muffs are soft and fit your ear nicely. They are not sound canceling headphones but the cushions seal out so much of the outside sound, I cannot even here my 4 daughters yelling in the next room when the game is in play.

Download the Dolby Atmos app onto your Xbox or PC and plug in your headphones to activate Dolby on your computer right away.
Setup is easy, plug and go, but if you want to adjust settings to your ears, the options are plenty as well as user defined EQ slots available.
I personally used the User Slots for self made EQs as I am picky and have to setup and headphones or sound to be perfect.
The sound is nothing short af amazing, highs are high but not tinny, mods are smooth and not overpowered and lows hit nice but flatten out under 33hz.
The 3D Atmos sound is where they kill it, the sound in a FPS game, the sound around you is amazing, hearing footsteps, leaves fall, fire burn and explosions like you are there in the game.
I really am enjoying these new RIG Pro headphones, the comfortable strap and low tension head band allow me to wear these for hours without ear pain. Mixing amazing Dolby Atmos sound and comfort in one package is a true winning combo especially when you take in consideration the price point. These are a solid choice and a no brainer for any gamer.

Not Love at First Sight but that all Changed

Thd RIG Nacon PRO Compact Controller for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One is very deceiving at first with a Playstation knockoff shape you would expect from that jungle website for $5 but boy was I wrong.
This "PRO" compact controller is a definite pro at one thing, being compact. When I first help it, my flipper fingers felt out of place and right away thought it was a bad choice. Well, once I hopped into COD and started playing a round, within 30 seconds I my hands fell into a natural position which was way more comfortable than I would have ever thought. Playing for 2 hours straight, not once did I have to stretch my hands like I do with the Stock controller, Elite controller or the XSwap Thrustmaster controller. I would definitely agree with the PRO name in its price category, not a true Pro controller but not far off. This could have been a Pro controller easily by adding some quick swap Dpad and stick buttons and some inner paddle on the back for FPS games. I would pay the little extra for that and it would be my go to every game day.
Amazing how well placed this controller feels and the button function is a legit match. The buttons, Dpad and joysticks are on point, feeling accurate and smooth at all times, again, would love to be able to swap styles and size. They placement for my adult male hands are just spot on with this controller. The wire is also long enough to reach for most setups in front of a big screen TV but it also works fine with my PC setup and I showed improvement with this controller right off the bat.
I have to be honest, it is not the best controller out there but at this price point, it absolutely is the best out there. For an avid gamer or a beginner, I would not be afraid to buy this controller.

Absolutely Amazing After Racing

I don't know where to start, there is way too much good about the Theragun Recovery Air system. Being that I have been in the hospital a lot over the past few years for Cancer surgery, Hernia surgery and other issues from racing ATVs, I found love for the leg air sleeves in the hospital and always wanted a set for home.
With the Recovery Air system, I am finally able to enjoy the same benefits and do it in the comfort of my own home. I received them right before I left for a race out of state and decided to take them for myself to test the benefits right at the track in-between races. I will say right now, it was the BEST decision I have made all year.
From racing to standing all day, my legs were beat after Friday and Saturday. Both nights I hooked the air control unit to my generator and turned them on for 45 minutes while I relaxed, ate food and enjoyed explaining to people what they were, After I was done, a few tried them out and I am pretty sure sold a few nits because of it.
The quick assembly and ease to put on and take off makes these great for travel and home. I would have liked a carry bag or case to be included, would have really helped but I stopped about bought a cheap $10 backpack.
How easy is this? Put leg sleeves on and zip up, plug them into the air unit, hit the power switch, adjust your PSI and time and hit the play button. Now, sit back and relax while the air fills up from the feet to your thighs, pushing all the acid and stale blood flow out of your legs then release allowing fresh blood flow and oxygen to your muscles and tendons.
The release your body feels every time the pump releases the air is incredible, giving your legs the needed blood and oxygen to recover faster. How much faster you ask? I woke up Saturday and Sunday with ZERO leg pain or fatigue, this has never happened in the 27 years of racing.
I will never go to the track again without my recovery air system. I want to but smaller legs sleeves for my kids soon and ones for shoulders and arms. I already use the Theragun at the races for my forearms and helps a ton. This company knows how to make great products with a purpose and they actually all work.
If you are reading this review, do yourself a favor and buy these, I promise you will love them and use them as much as you can.
