I Hear The World More Now Than Ever...

....And I was missing a lot of my life. The Jabra Enhance Select 300 series hearing aids are the best life changing addition I have ever been happy to use every day without complaint. I will say right off the bat, these do not replace your ear buds for music or phone movie watching. Yes, they work for that but you do not get the bass and deep feel you get from ear buds. These are for your every day life, with music in the background, that is what these are for.
I work in a machine shop and office setting, I am in and out of the office all day. I use these when not at work, I want to have less hearing and use ear buds to cover the sound of the machines, not make them louder. I did try them at work, and yes, you can lower the volume, but, then I cannot hear the music, it is a just something I wanted to get out of the way this review is based on all personal time with daily life and 4 kids.
I have been wearing these for a month now and as soon as I get to my truck, I put these in and start off the rest of my day. My kids are not complaining anymore that I don't hear them or I didn't hear my phone ringing again. My wife is happier, I can hear her now much more easily as she has a very mono tone. I love my wife more than life itself, so there is no digging her in that, I truly mean these have just made her happier because I actually hear her better.
I wore these the day I got them and started the journey to better hearing. You take a hearing test almost right away after setting up your account and app. The test sends your results to an actual ENT and they adjusted my settings which made all the difference. I then after multiple attempts to get the Zoom to work and 3 missed appointments due to that, I was finally able to talk to the doctor today and was able to get more adjustments that I am trying as I type this. So far the tingy sound of high pitch speakers is virtually gone, so much better! Bass is still super lacking as expected but I was a tad hopeful as my low hertz ranges are what is the worst on me. The Doctor also went through more settings and how to work them properly and/or made sure I was using them correctly if I said I use that feature.
So far, I can say these last 2 to 3 days for me during the week before I charge and on the weekends it is 1 charge per night for me.
Great Job Jabra, I am in love with the changes in my hearing.

Fast Charging To Save The Day!

The Best Buy Essentials Charging Kit with 20 watts of power in 2 separate ports all wrapped up into a kit with very nice charging cables as well. The charging blocks themselves have both an A and C port designed right into them which makes it great when you grab the wrong cable and leave, as long as it has one end right, you can charge.
I started the testing with my phone plugged into the USB-C port by itself, my smartphone was able to charge at 2 hours and 23 minutes starting at 11 percent battery. I compared that the next day from 9% on the OEM super fast charger of 35 watts and that came in at 1 hour and 31 minutes, so, it is slightly slower but what do you expect with 15 less watts. Now, I did find the next day, I plugged into the Best Buy charger with the USB-C port to my phone, I also plugged my tablet into the USB-A to USB-C cable to my same brand Tablet and the charging time west up substantially on my smartphone for charging time until full, over an hour was added. As soon as I unplugged the tablet, the time was cut down to normal time again on my phone, so that shows it is 20W total, not each.
Still though, these little chargers rock and for the price, you cannot beat it with great quality cables. And to bring up the cables, they are easily OEM top tier brand quality. They have great positive and tight ports, thick sleeved cables and feel like a quality piece. Best Buy definitely made an in-house branded product that can absolutely give any name brand a run for its money.
Hats off Best Buy!

Major Improvements to an already Perfect Product!

I currently use, well now used amd passed on to my wife, the Jabra Elite 8 Gen 1 ear buds, so, when Jabra said here comes Gen 2, I had to try them out.
First I have to note the best got better, and that is the boise canvelling The Gen 1 set already had amazing noise cancelling but sometimes would take a few minutes to kick in, and if you mowed with your Gen 1 set you would have noticed after a few minutes the sound adjusted and noise cancelking became active. Now, with the Gen 2, they are instant, no waiting. I also noticed while weed whipping, the Gen 1s would allow a tad of the cutting of weeds sound come through once in a while, Gen 2 lets nothing through. The Noise Cancelling is so good on these Gen 2 earbuds, i can honestly say the immersion level of music and movie watchjng or even scrolling social media videos on dfferent platforms is so mucj better.
Fitment is spot on as good as Gen 1, i feel there is zero difference there, just super comfortable amd can wear for hours on end with no needing of breaks from them. The physical push buttons are my favorite, some may not like they have to push buttons, myself, i love this, no unwanted touches like you get with other ear buds.
Next up is the Dolby support, these spund great with Dolby activated on my smart phone or laptop. Movies, games, music (especially live) and phone conversations sound amazing with Dolby on and do without as well. The Gen 2 Active 8s have a great even sound out if the box. Testing with no adjustments to the equalizer on my devices, they sound a tad clearer than Gen 1, highs are not tinny, mids are clear and unmuffled, and bass hits low but does not blow your ear drums doing so. With the adjustments in my eqalizers, I found you can really open these up to sounding much closer to studio headphones without the reference bass, instead the bass seems to cut off at about 43hz and tone down from there.
I did try the Smart Case Spatial feature with my old tablet to see how it worked and I can confirm it works but not as well as the built in Dolby. I may be doing sowmthung wrong or not understanding it but to be honest, it is not what sold me on these, Jabra's quality and amazing customer service is what keepa me coming back to Jabra, period.
Great job Jabra, you have a customer for lofe with such great ear buds.

Buying abother for my youngest, no social media!!

I am honestly the happiest father along with my wife on how great these Fitbit Ace are, evwrything we needed and no access to social media! We wanted to let our 11 year old have a tad more freedom simce we live in a smallish town and she loves bike rides and the 3 parks we have but only can go of we went. Now, we let her go meet up with friends and can watch her and even talk to her the whole way there. This has made her feel so much more responsible and more like a kid should, she unfortunately has a dad with PTSD and I have always been afraid to let her be more free.
Enter the Fitbit Ace into our home for a trial run and we are now going to make it a permanent choice for her and buying another for my 10 year old. I .in absolute love with how fast the tracking updates happen and how clear the phone calls are. Sognal is NEVER a problem with this, my older daughters iphone on a different service loses signal at the parks, but the Ace does not, win win for us!
The texting amd calling areomited to 20 people and must be done through the Fitbit Ace app. This is the only negative I can see. We would love to have it be able to text or call and setup allowed phone numbers to do so without the app, it wasnt easy explaining to her grandpa he needed to use the app.
The movement tracker is awesome as well, seeing her activities being tracked so we know she is not being a lazy bean all summer while out of school and actually running around with friends. The step tracker gives her a goal as well, she for 2 weeks has made sure to hit 10k steps every single day.
Google is also adding Google Payments through it in the future, which I can not wait for that, I hate letting her go to the store with cash at her age anymore, too many chances for her to lose it, I know I did as a kid.
So far, the Fitbit Ace is awesome and we love the service, just hoping at some point you do not need the app, just permissions for allowed numbers.

Nice Features All Wrapped Up Into One Program

One of the reasons why we buy and use McAfee+ is the virus protection, that is what they started as and are one of the top in the world. Now that they have grown into a large protection company, the Virus protection is just the start. Now, with the features added to the Advanced Family protection, the favorite part is the included VPN that can be toggled on. I find myself using the VPN for purchases every time for an extra layer of protection. I have had my card number stolen multiple times so I am hoping this gives me a better chance.
The virus scanning is great, my pc is not slowed down at all while it is running a scan, I can still work as normal or game without decrease in performance, McAfee+ is very light on your CPU.
I have also tested the new Ai scam protection, I wrote to myself with a new email address from Yahoo and wrote it with very bad intention to steal money and posted a link to a dark web site. McAfee+ worked, it caught the obvious scam and warned me immediately, how cool is that?!?
I also found the scam protection works on my Samsung Android phone, it absolutely blocks the messages that come from non stop spam and scam texts, I did not win a free cookware set.
I have also tested the new Ai scam protection, I wrote to myself with a new email address from Yahoo and wrote it with very bad intention to steal money and posted a link to a dark web site. McAfee+ worked, it caught the obvious scam and warned me immediately, how cool is that?!?

I am still monitoring other features like the Personal Data Cleanup that monitors data brokerage sites that sell your info. It did find one site but not a ton. I am also using the identity monitoring, I have not received any bad hits yet, so I hope that is a great thing and it is just that it does not work, so I can not say if that feature work but it should be.
The family subscription is great, we have 6 people in our family and we are all covered, phones, tablets, and PCs.
So Far, McAfee+ is doing great for us in 2024.

I Am Sold On OLED! Deep Blacks and Vibrant Colors!

Samsung has surprised me on this screen, OLED is something I never thought was worth the money, until now. I had to try the new Samsung Odyssey G6 for 2 reasons, and not for it being OLED. What did I really want to try? The 360Hz display and super fast response time. I currently use, well used now, the Samsung 49" display with 240Hz for sim racing along with a 27" Samsung curved 1080 gaming monitor to make it super wide around me while racing.
Once I opened the new Odyssey OLED G6, I noticed one thing, the build quality. Everything feels solid, great heavy metal base and smooth plastics that do not feel thin in any way. Setup is super fast and easy with the quick attach base and the multiple included cables(HDMI, DisplayPort, USB) made it super fast, plug and play. I replaced the 27" monitor with the new G6 27", so I went from Curved to Flat, and I do not care one bit because once I turned it on, nothing else mattered.
The Display is insanely amazing, right away I was mind blown on how deep the black levels are compared to my 49". This is what made me realize what I have heard about OLED was actually true. I thought I had my other screens adjusted to have deep blacks and vibrant colors but I was instantly proven wrong. Right out of the box settings paired with my 7900XTX, every game I have thrown at it so far has not left me wanting more yet. I setup COD first and kept all my normal settings besides the max frame rate I will say I set a lot of my settings the same as most pros do following their setups for certain qualities to be set low so you get more FPS. Well, I was able to consistently see over 300FPS and I can tell you it is absolutely insane how many more kills I averaged because of better FPS and fast response.
Next up was Racing!!! I have a decent sim racing setup and this screen has now ruined it. I thought having 76" inches of curved screen was just awesome, but after switching to the one 27" G6, I want to sell my 49" and buy 2 more of these. Yes, the difference is actually so much it makes driving worse for me now as the 27" screen looks so much better I lose track of where I am at on the track because I am looking at how good the background is, how awesome the cars look and how much less blur there is at 230 mph.
I am simply in love with this screen and the ease of adjustment from the back finger knob. With a quick push, the menu pops up from the bottom an you can setup the screen with ease for any computer. I will say, I did hook it up to my laptop that has a 4060 in it and I can definitely say the 7900XTX pushes the screen to much better heights of picture quality compared to the 4060, so I would highly recommend a great GPU for this screen, I am not brand loyal for GPU's, so pick your favorite one.
Hats off to Samsung on the Odyssey OLED G6, you have made this guy an OLED fan now.

On Board Micro SD Made This A Winner For Me!

TP Link has always been one of my favorite choices for in home cameras so I had to try out their new Wired Floodlight with a 2K Camera and super bright LED lights. I had a perfect spot to install this camera to light up our back yard for the path to our garage whilst having a great camera on the entrance of the garage.
The camera came with all the hardware you could need for install in an existing fixture, so if you are adding one to a new spot, all you will need is the tools, a fixture and wire, that is it. Install once I had the fixture in the wall and wires ran took about 15 minutes. Once I flipped the breaker, I was able to connect to it through the TP Link app and setup WiFi very quickly and effortlessly. The TP Link app is very simple and easy to get through, I already use it daily for my in-home cameras to check in on my kids from the garage or in the basement when I am working.
The lights are BRIGHT! My backyard is small, about 1200 sq ft and it lights up the entire yard like it is about an hour before dark, you can see easily making it real nice for my dog at night so far, she seems happier not being outside in the dark.
The Camera quality is great, very good for HD, a lot of "2K' cameras are no where near 1440 or even 960, this is a true 2K camera. Motion is smooth and recordings always are easy to see what was caught, animal or human. Night video is fine due to the bright lights, you will see everything. Motion sense is great, it does not miss motion from all the testing I have done trying to sneak to the door, it nabs me every time.
One of the best features so far is the built in Micro SD slot for local recording, this should be a standard in all cameras, sell a subscription for features added, not just recording, I love cameras that do not require more money later. The next best feature is it is wired, no batteries to charge and no missed recordings because you forgot to charge the battery.
I can highly recommend this light so far, I hope it gives me a good 5 to 7 years of use, that is when I usually update my electronics.

Are these things on?

Turtle Beach has done something I never thought could be done with can style headphones. The Atlas Air are lite, as air, to the point I forget I am wearing them half the time. I have been using these for the past 5 days straight for work and gaming and I do not want to use any other set, period.
I started using them at first on my PS5 and just had to plug in the included USB dongle in the back and boom, sound was there as was the microphone, not hard at all. Sound is great from the PS5, zero delay I can notice which is always a positive when gaming. I played multiple FPS and Sim racing games to test the sound and love every second of these headphones. Are they the best ever for my PS5? No, but the ones I like the most cost 4 times the price and should sound better, but, for the retail price of these Atlas Air, your hard earned money will be well spent on these and you should not shy away. The overall sound through the PS5 was on par with what I would expect, GT7 sounded amazing, the 3D sound enabled makes the cars sound great and I can easily hear the cars around me as I am racing. While playing FPS games, sound was amazing, hearing footsteps easily and gun shots out in the distance. I found 3D sound was better off for FPS games. Now, the Xbox X was basically the same experience, no issues once I put the dongle in the USB, the headphones were playing in seconds and found no delay or weird sounds, just like the PS5. I am very happy with them on both gaming consoles.
On to the PC side of things. Make sure you download the updated Swarm II software before you even think about trying out these on your PC, you will have zero luck and just get super frustrated. The updated software as of 06/05/2024 fixes the weird issues I first had seen once I connected to the PC were gone and sound was on point right away once everything was updated. Playing my favorite SIM Racing games to my MMO of choice, gaming is fantastic in these headphones on PC, especially with Dolby Atmos activated, simply an amazing experience especially when you forget you are wearing them.
As for the headphones themselves, they are LITE! The volume knob is HUGE and I love this design so much, why can't more companies think like this? The ear pads are so soft and easy to wear for hours on end, I have got over 70 hours in these headphones in 5 days, no joke, I work all day in them then game at night. I have also been using them for music production to compare them to my expensive headphones and I can say there is a difference, these were definitely not studio tuned for music, they are tuned for gaming in my ears. Yes, they sound great for music but some of the mid range gets muffled compared to studio headphones.
Battery life is fantastic, I have gone 12ish hours so far and they have not died, so the battery life to me is amazing, plug them in and they are ready to go the next day. Material quality is very good for the price, yes, plastic is the main material, but, the feel is what you would want from plastic and metal is not lite.
So, here is a Pro and Cons of these Amazing Headphones!

I can right off the bat sat that Gigabyte has really impressed me on this one with the quality feel and amazing screen. I have been using this laptop for 5 days strong now for daily use but mainly testing gaming performace for a mid tier laptop.
Gigabyte really knowcked it out of the park for performance and quality per dollar. The plastic feels thick and smooth texture for an almost metal feel. The weight of this laptop is heavy making it feel like it was properly built. Looking in through the vents at the 3 fans, you can see the thick and massive amount of copper used to keep the 4060 and CPU cool.
Boasting a huge 32MB of Ram and 1 TB of SSD high speed space, this laptop moves and never overheats but the fans are definitely not quiet but expected for a laptop. After setting up the laptop and getting all the updated done and driver updates, I moved right into work apps and photoshop to do some quick photo changes from a wedding. The laptop was very quick and easy to edit on, never missed a beat and the screen never made my eyes tired with the blue filter on except when I need to check blues.

Then came the gaming, attaching my favorite mouse and keyboard and time to let the 165HZ refresh rate i.press me. Fortnite was first, running all the graphics at my mod teir preference, i was easily holding 180 fps(my ser max) for hours on end. Onto COD same performamce, 180 to 190 fps all day and the graphics plus the screen never left me hanging. I am usually a AMD guy for graphics but this 4060 even being in a laptop has overly impressed me with the new Ai to help get those frame up.
Battery life while surfing and emails, hours and hours while gaming, the best I have got is 2 hours with the battery boost off Unplugged the laptop definitely throttles performace vidually, plug it in and boom, it is right back to top tier performance.

I have been a long time Razer user with almost my entire PC eco system from keyboard to water cooling for my cpu. I currently have the Razer Viper V2 Pro Hyperspeed and with the new optical Viper V3 gaming mouse being released, I had to see if it was actually an upgrade. I can be honest, the V2 has had a bug with my system for the past 10 months, I would have to unplug the cable from the PC and plug it back in every time I let my PC go to sleep. The new V3 has already proven to me, the V2 did not like me or my PC.
Now, upon opening the small box, I pull out the sensor and then the piece of paper, lol, that is what the mouse feels like. When Razer says it is ultra lightweight, they should have put a label on it that says "We Swear There Is a Battery In It". I honestly thought they forgot the battery in the box, but no, it is just that lightweight.
The wireless speed of this mouse when tested with my reaction time was 103 milliseconds on average, the old V2 was just over 120 milliseconds, so there is a definite difference when I am using it, especially when playing FPS games. Please understand that these times were ran with my reaction time on movement speed and button clicks added up and averaged over 20 tests. Compared to my Wired mouse, we are within an average of 5 milliseconds on average, so I no longer need to use wired for gaming when fps versus click and movement speed is relative.
Connecting the Viper V3 Pro was an absolute breeze and finally never loses connectivity. I am so happy with that alone, no more frustration. The cord and pickup have a small footprint, basically, invisible to anyone looking at your desk. Razer's software is amazing in there eco system, I really enjoy the ease of using Razer. Yes, Razer is expensive and many people think they are overpriced, but when you have this entire ecosystem under one control, it makes it worth every penny especially with their amazing quality.
Thanks Razer for a great new Mouse option!
