Bullock and Reynolds make a great pair!

This movie had some simply hilarious moments. You also get the humor of Betty White and I love Sandra Bullock. Sandra and Ryan are so funny seperately and together in this movie, especially the part where they break out in spontaneous song. Love it, a must see!

A retired detective must battle former colleagues and his own failing health in order to bring a murderer to justice in this action drama produced and directed by its star, Clint Eastwood. Terry McCaleb (Eastwood) was one of the best and most thorough detectives at the FBI's Southern California office, until a massive heart attack sidelined him from police work for good. Following a heart transplant which saved his life, McCaleb has resigned himself to living quietly on a houseboat for the rest of his days, observing a strict health regimen prescribed by his cardiologist, Dr. Bonnie Fox (Anjelica Huston). However, McCaleb is persuaded to take on one last case through the insistence of a woman named Graciela Rivers (Wanda De Jesus). Rivers's sister was murdered in cold blood by a mugger, and her heart was used for McCaleb's transplant; now, Rivers wants McCaleb to find her sister's killer. McCaleb agrees to take on the case, but he quickly discovers his weakened physical condition makes the rigors of handling an investigation far harder and more difficult than its ever been before; he also can no longer drive a car, and must persuade his oddball friend from the marina,Buddy Noone (Jeff Daniels), to ferry him around town. Before long, despite these drawbacks, McCaleb discovers evidence which suggests the murderer may be a serial who uses random street robberies as a cover, but he finds that Ronaldo Arrango (Paul Rodriguez) and John Waller (Dylan Walsh), the police detectives assigned to the case, are not especially interested in sharing the glory (or their legwork) with the former FBI point man. Blood Work was adapted from the novel by Michael Connelly; Brian Helgeland wrote the screenplay.

This movie had a good twist to it, that I didn't see coming. I saw this a few years ago and thought it was good, and intriguing, so I wanted to own it for my video library. I would definately recommend it.

Director James Cameron's deep-sea sci-fi epic recovers nearly half an hour of footage chopped from the original theatrical release with this director-approved re-edit. Starring Ed Harris, The Abyss follows a crew of scientists as they descend to unprecedented depths in the ocean. After pursuing a mysterious glowing light, they make an unbelievable discovery. Included on this DVD are both the new extended version and the original truncated cut, both in widescreen, offering viewers the chance to make their own conclusions about which is the superior film. The soundtrack comes in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and subtitles are provided in English and Spanish. Along with the feature presentation, the disc includes a DVD-ROM script and storyboard-to-screen comparison. A double-disc Special Edition is also available as is a full-screen version of this single-disc package.

Ron Howard's kidnapping thriller Ransom comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. The film has neither looked nor sounded better on home video. Spanish subtitles are accessible, and a French soundtrack has also been included. The extensive supplemental materials include a detailed commentary by Howard. He discusses many elements of the production and is full of praise for his cast. Those who like insider gossip will greatly enjoy the story of what happened the day Mel Gibson was nominated for an Oscar for directing Braveheart. Numerous deleted scenes have been included, and two behind-the-scenes featurettes allow the actors to talk about the process of making the film. This disc was released simultaneously with a number of Ron Howard films that have all been outfitted with quality extras.

Both of these movies are good, you can't go wrong with this two pack. I'm always up for a Harrison Ford movie, and this one doesn't disappoint. It has action, drama, etc, as does In The Line Of Fire.

I've only seen this movie once, but thought it was so good, I wanted to own it for my video library. This is one of those great "over coming the odds, and rising to the occasion movies", that has you cheering in the end.

I'm always up for an Al Pacino movie

This movie had action and suspense. One of the big draws for me, was that Pacino is in it. This is one of those movies that will have you guessing, 'who did it".
