Alan J. Pakula's adaptation of the best-seller Presumed Innocent comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1. English and French soundtracks have been rendered in Dolby Digital Surround, and a Spanish soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Mono. Subtitles are accessible in all three of those languages. Supplemental materials include trailers and production notes. This is an average release from Warner Bros., but it has been priced reasonably, making it worthwhile for fans of the film.

Who can go wrong with a Harrison Ford Movie?!

This movie has alot of twists and turns. I'm a big fan of Harrison Ford, and he didn't disappoint, and you will never see the ending coming.

This thriller gets a streamlined presentation for its release on DVD. Guilty as Sin has been given a pan-and-scan transfer at the full-frame aspect ratio of 1.33:1, and the audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Stereo. No subtitles or language options have been included, though the feature is closed-captioned in English.

This movie will keep you interested until the end. Rebbeca De Mornay gives a great performance. It's full of suspense and drama. After seeing it several years ago, I remembered that it was good and wanted to own it for my video library. Definatley a good movie for a night in, with a bowl of popcorn.

Phil Joanou's stylish thriller Final Analysis comes to DVD with a standard full-frame transfer that fails to capture the original theatrical aspect ratio. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Surround. There are no subtitles, but the English soundtrack is closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include production notes. Though the disc is inexpensive, the lack of a widescreen transfer and the paucity of extras make this disc difficult to recommend.

This is one of my favorite moves. Richard Gere doesn't disappoint, and Kim Bassinger gives a great performance. This movie has a Hitchcock flare, which can especially be seen in the cinematography. This movie has some twists that you definately won't see coming. A must own.

HILARIOUS!

This movie had me smiling and laughing out loud. I really like Richard Dreyfuss, as an actor, and you get to see his comedic side in this movie. You should get this movie for the hilarity of Rosie O'Donnel alone. This is definately a "must own" comedy, if you want to laugh and have a good time.

I love Jim Carrey and this is one of my favorite movies of all time. I just love all of the comedic, classic Carrey moments and it also show cases a young Cameron Diaz. A must have comedy, if you want to laugh out loud!

Arnold Schwarzenegger's action hit Eraser comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that faithfully reproduces the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1. English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Extra features include cast and crew biographies and a theatrical trailer. The film is solid if less than inspired, much like this disc. This disc will appeal to Schwarzenegger fans and genre enthusiasts.

I liked the Arnold movies from "back in the day" and this one did not disappoint. You can always count on Arnold for action. I remember that this was a movie that I liked , from several years ago, so I definately wanted to add it to my movie library.

Phil Alden Robinson's Sneakers finally gets the treatment it deserves on this Collector's Edition release, five years after its first appearance on DVD and 11 years after its original release. The disc comes loaded with so much material that it represents almost a technological jump over the old release -- except that this technology was there, just not used. Among the bonus features, the most enjoyable is the 40-minute featurette "The Making of Sneakers," which reveals the movie's origins a decade before its release, during the making of WarGames. Robinson, Lawrence Lasker, and Walter F. Parkes tell of the ten years it took (while working on other movies) to get the film written and then produced, while moving from one studio to another (Paramount lost it, Universal ultimately got it). In the course of getting it made, they all got to be older than the oldest character in the script -- an irony that wasn't lost on them. There are also interviews with various experts in such fields as number theory and telephone hacking (the legendary John Draper (aka "Captain Crunch") who was partly the basis for the Dan Aykroyd character), and cast members Robert Redford, Mary McDonnell, and David Strathairn -- we find out that Carl, the youngest of the hackers, was the character with which the filmmakers most identified. There's a certain sadness in seeing River Phoenix in his interview sequences, but the making-of film is still an unabashed delight. The audio commentary by Robinson, Lasker, and Parkes offers its own enjoyment, although it will be of slightly more interest to professionals -- filmmakers, screenwriters, producers, actors, critics, etc. -- than to the casual viewer. In the first two minutes, we learn that there was a major change made in the plot because the original story had the Redford and Ben Kingsley characters accidentally killing a man, which they realized would make Redford's character irredeemable in the eyes of filmgoers. Instead, they changed his indiscretion to hacking into Richard Nixon's personal bank account and transferring funds to the Black Panthers and other leftist organizations of the late '60s, and that change linked the movie's opening to its finish. The discussion is filled with little bits of information like that, all presented in a lighthearted tone; unlike some writers and directors discussing their work, these guys never fool themselves into thinking they were writing, or even pondering, Hamlet. As for the film-to-video transfer, the newer disc's image does seem to offer a lot more picture information -- and a generally brighter picture -- than the original DVD release; both are letterboxed in the non-anamorphic ratio of 1.85:1. There is also a trailer. The only thing missing from this new edition is some acknowledgement of James Horner's excellent score. The producers have used the same 16-chapter breakdown that was utilized for the 1998 edition.

Phillip Noyce's big-screen adaptation of The Saint comes to DVD with a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1. English soundtracks are rendered in both Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby Digital Surround, while a French soundtrack has also been recorded in Dolby Digital Surround. Spanish subtitles are accessible, and both English soundtracks are closed-captioned. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by the director and a theatrical trailer. This is a solid release from Paramount.

Great movie

It was great that Val Kilmer donned so many disguises in this movie. This movie was good throughout and kept my attention. This was the " classic" Kilmer from back in the day and featured Elizabeth Shue, as well. She is one of the actresses that I like to watch. This movie has an interesting plot and action elements as well.
