The third season of The Good Wife follows wife and attorney Alicia Florrick (Julieanna Marglies) playing an integral role in helping the firm stay afloat during a tumultuous year. While her romance with Will (Josh Charles) is finally taking off, the consequences include a professional adversary in her ex (Chris Noth), who joins Alicia's rival Cary (Matt Czuchry) to make this as difficult as possible for Alicia. Meanwhile, Will may be disbarred, and Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) tries to reconcile with her estranged best friend.

Season 3 of The Good Wife has a few new characters to liven things up. It always has quirky Judges and opposing lawyers with interesting personalities. The 'good wife," Alyesha(sp), is not divorced from her husband, but not living together and feeling guilty about having a good time (mostly feeling she's neglecting her children, not guilty about her spouse). Her mother-in-law is really causing her some heartburn this season, but has a decline in health temporarily. Cary has been at the State Attorney's office most of the season. The named partner in the firm, Will, gets caught mishandling money and has to go through a Grand Jury hearig. We learn that Kalinda, the firm's awesome Investigator, has a husband at the end of the season, but we don't see him yet! that's for Season 4. And yes, Kalinda is still wearing cool clothes and boots. Diane, the other named partner of the firm, gets a 2nd beau, wow! will that go anywhere? have to find out in Season 4, I guess. She wears really cool clothes too. The sets are beautiful (the apartments and the law office, and the festivities they attend). I wish it would show more of Chicago, the city where it's supposed to take place. But it certainly has an intriguing arc throughout the season, as so many characters are developing and we learn more about them.
This release brings together all twenty-two episodes from the first season of the ABC series Revenge which starred Emily VanCamp as the daughter of a wealthy but declining family who seeks to settle the score with the woman at the head of the family who shamed her father.

It's like the 80's serialized TV primetime dramas.

Revenge has a sort of "B-move cast," that is, no big stars, and the very first episode did not leave me clamoring for more. But I watched the 2nd and 3rd episodes, and found that you could 'really get into this show'. It's like "Dallas," "Dynasty," and "Knot's Landing" in that there are lots of opportunities for beautiful clothes to be worn and lots of subplots. The young protagonist is seeking revenge on a married couple for causing the death of her father. (Not a spoiler, you soon find that out.) Lots of other characters are caught in catastrophes of their own making. By the middle of the season I was "caught" and, yes, I want to see Season 2 of this series.
This box set consists of every episode from the second season of HBO's award-winning period gangster film Boardwalk Empire, featuring Steve Buscemi as a political figure in prohibition-era New Jersey who balances his criminal interests, his personal life, and his political influence.

I started with Season 2 of Boardwalk Empire because Season 1 was not available. In summary, gather a dozen of the most unattractive men, give them colorless personalities, and throw in a few women for child care and bordello scenes, and that's this series. It takes place in Atlantic City in the 1920's, and it could be exciting. There's Prohibition (which makes all these gangsters rich), gambling casinos, and KKK activity thrown in. It's gloomy and rather dark, both in mood and in costume and scenery. But the men are just so unappealing. Who can believe Steve Buscemi as a feared gangster? He looks anemic and too weak to stand up on his own. I don't feel inclined to see further seasons of this HBO series.
Stay warm no matter how low the office thermostat is set with this Insignia compact ceramic heater. The small footprint doesn't take up much space, and a built-in fan circulates the heat without making a lot of noise. Tip-over protection on this Insignia compact ceramic heater ensures safe operation even on cluttered desks.
Does this heater make any noise? I want to use it in the office but I don't want my co-workers sitting next to me all hear it. Thanks!
It does have a "whirr" sound but it doesn't override or block out talking.
