The director is really the only reason I wanted to see this. Not that Russell Crowe isn't good as usual, but I was wondering what the director could do with Noah. It didn't amaze me or anything in terms of direction or story, but given the range of most christian movies, it looks pretty great.

Very much Chronicle + [insert vampire movie here], Afflicted is an interesting addition to the vampire genre. Some pretty good ideas; the found footage cam aspect works here, even though I'm still not really a fan. The writer/director team certainly seem talented, I'm interested to see what they will do next. Very promising.

Unneeded movie split still offers value

While splitting up the last book wasn't necessary, Mockingjay Part 1 does allow for much needed further exploration of Katniss' world that we may not have had time for had it all been one movie. Not much happens admittingly, but more character development and study isn't made a weakness in this penultimate chapter.
