Not bad a few gratuitous things

Not bad for a Christmas movie. I few really predictable things. But what really bothered me was the scenes like the "Lost Ticket" which seems like they were just put in there to show what the animators were capable of. Didn't move the story along and essentially made it drag in spots.

Biggest mistake was throwing out the far superior soy ceiling material. Do many things were just so wrong. Even McAvoy and Fassbender couldn’t save this mess.

A very pleasant surprise

Will Smith really needed this movie and he took no prisoners. Not taking away anything from the rest of the cast, who were all fully invested in their roles—but it was Will Smith to make or break this movie.
He didn’t play Robin Williams yet there was a reverence for Williams in Smith’s performance.
Jasmine gets her own spotlight song near the end of the film and my daughters cannot stop singing it.

...an end must come. This should be the standard of how to begin, run, and close a franchise. An amazing and fitting climax to the previous 21 movies. Who would have ever thought that Jon Favreau's casting long shot of Robert Downey, Jr. would have paid off in such a spectacular way.
Not just RDJ but the whole core of the Avengers really do get the chance to shine. Watch it and then watch it again.

Some judicious editing and trimming might have helped. But Kong looks fantastic and Andy Serkis almost steals the show.
