Yes—it's the superhero version of "Big" but don't let that get in the way of the fun. This is just a fun movie from beginning to end. Except for one really big and funny mistake, my daughter and I were screaming, "Shazam!" by the end of the movie.
Goos fun. A big of caution on some of the dialog. My youngest (6) kept pointing out the "bad words."

Dumbo himself is a joy to watch. The CGI is very good and he is believable. Fun for the whole family.

Aquaman finally gets the respect he’s so long deserved. Everything that “Man of Steel” should have been. A coherent story. A conflicted hero who embraces his dual heritage. And two leads who actually have chemistry.
A little better than Wonder Woman for me but that’s only because the final act of that film is basically the final act of Captain America: The First Avenger.

The Movie was doomed to be compared to something that is for all intents and purposes perfect. And while the musical numbers may not reach the grand catchiness of the original it’s not for lack of trying.
The story is a bit deeper and adult oriented and my only real complaint is the addition of a “villain” to the story.
The final scenes with a great character returning is worth it for that alone.

I really had no expectations for this one way or another. Sat down with my 6-year-old daughter and was pleasantly surprised. It’s a little padded to make a run time but some of the additions to the Grinch lore were well thought out. My favorite was the newly developed relationship between the Grinch and Max.
A lot to see and just enough call backs to the original to make an old guy like me happy.

What more can be added to all of the great reviews? This was a great film with a great balance of highs and lows. I never understood what many of the detractors were complaining about. Yes, there were artistic liberties employed with the timeline regarding Freddie’s diagnosis but it strengthened the overall narrative of the film.
All the actors are well cast and just great in there roles. While Rami Malek and my personal favorite, Gwyllm Lee are extraordinary, repeated viewings show that Ben Hardy and Joe Mazzello were just as good.
Watch it. Watch it again. Then watch it some more.

I have watched this movie on DVD, Bluray, and now 4K. The visuals are amazing and clear. The colors bright and captivating. This is what 4K was meant for. If you have the setup then go out and get this. Even if you don't like the end sequence and I do tune out, its just a joy to behold.
