Not that good

Admittedly, I'm not one of the Shane Black fans and this movie really didn't change that opinion. This might have been the grates feat of "Suspension of Disbelief" that I've ever had to engage in.
All of the characters were stereotypes that then managed to have a redeeming quality despite being reprehensible before hand. The humor, what it was, seemed forced and contrived. Olivia Munn's "character" starts out believable then just completely goes off the rails.
The action is really good and maybe that's all a person needs. I prefer Predators to this and that was just a copy of the first film.

An adequate third entry if not a bit too much by the numbers. The big reveal was ruined by the structure of the story. That would not be a big deal for younger viewers. The biggest laugh for me was how Mr. and Mrs. Wolfman viewed their imprisonment.

Watched this movie countless times and realized I had a Jimi Hendrix "Excuse me while I kiss this guy!" moment. The sing-along is fun and my daughters and I had a blast with it. My only complaint is that I wish they went with the bouncing ball lyric indictor rather than the color change on the words. It's a little too subtle.

A heist movie and not much else

I really wanted to like this but I couldn't get past Alden Ehrenreich's "Han Solo." Granted, he had the unenviable task of trying to capture a young Harrison Ford but I never felt that he even tried. The rest of the cast was solid, especially the actor playing Chewbacca. He had all the physical mannerisms down and I could pick him easily out of a crowd of Wookies.
In the end this was a heist movie set in the Star Wars universe.

The Incredibles might really be one of the best super hero movies. It has everything that any movie needs. A journey story. A redemption. A coming of age. A discovery. Finding a place. It really is something and the 4K is noting short of amazing. I have watched this movie on DVD (!) countless times but the detail in the 4K is stellar. Bob has a thinning spot on the top of his head! Great stuff.

If you were a fan of 2001: A Space Odyssey, 2010 closes the book. Peter Hyams amazes me with his ability to make space seem even darker than it is. The effect work is excellent and the performances he draws out of his actors are just as good. Roy Scheider and John Lithgow are excellent as is the wonderful Helen Mirren.
