This movie deserves it's status as an all time monster/sci-fi classic. It is so weird, trippy and just so well acted for the B movie it is. The pacing may be a little long for those now programmed to be less patient but, if you go with it, it won't fail to deliver. The Blu Ray transfer is pretty gorgeous considering how old this movie is and it preserves all your Saturday creature feature memories. Sound is pretty darn good too with the English dub very clear and IMHO very well done. Fun stuff. Oh and the SteelBook is the only one I have that I actually love. It looks AMAZING.

Story went on a different tangent

I'm giving this 5 stars for the animation and fight scenes which are amazing. Voice work is great and the Joker's short amount of voice time really stands out. I know DC is deviating from the stories I guess to keep them fresh but, this deviation doesn't work as well IMHO. If you don't know the Hush story it's well worth picking up. Just don't think you're going to learn much about Hush unfortunately.

Nice looking fight game

This was a gift for my son. We were digging around because he was sort of retro into PowerballZ and there was a card game that looked totally boring, unless you're into card games and he is not. Then we found this, which was the only one. Very much Street Fighter, Capcom, Injustice type looking game. In other words great. Action and playability is fun. The cut scenes for the single player game are too long for me but, I suppose that's the appeal of the show/game. If you just want to throw down PowerballZ style and have great eye candy doing it, this should do the trick.

I imagine someday somebody will make this even better but, why wait? The story, the visuals, the sounds, the special effects just look amazing. Big time upgrade over the Blu Ray set which was great for the time. Heck the DVD was great for the time. So, the only question is are you going to wait for the box set? Not me, I'm keeping my old set and just like Alien, I'm only upgrading the first movies in both series because it's all downhill from here. A downhill trip I can make on Blu Ray upscaled just fine when the feeling strikes but, no way I want to miss all the fun of the originals in 4K. That's my plan anyway. You can make your own of course.

This didn't get the love Gladiator got and that's because it's not without flaws but, the opening scene may be one of the best in movie history. Visuals and sound especially make this a strong consideration for any fan of action/adventure movies. At 5 bucks or whatever there's virtually no risk to owning this overlooked if flawed gem.

Where recent efforts like The Hurt Locker dragged or went on some side journey, this is gripping storytelling and never ceases to feel like the best documentary you've ever seen. You will feel like you left the battlefield. Ridley Scott and team at their very best. The transfer to 4k is absolute reference quality

The odd get even in this outrageously funny comedy classic that comes to Blu-ray for the first time. When a group of socially challenged misfits at Adams College decides to start their own fraternity, the campus nerds soon find themselves in a battle royale with the bullying jocks of Alpha Beta. But in this hilarious game of brains vs. Brawn, the nerds devise the perfect plan to gain the upper hand and win the day.

Good transfer of a low budget film. Nice if limited special features, with the making of featurette, definitely worth watching. Despite some dated and stereotyping moments, the film still holds up and resonates with heart, especially around laughing with the characters not at them. It's not Animal House but, it holds up surprisingly well. I think it's up there with Rock n Roll High School, another must see.

Never really put one of these things through their paces but, BB staff swears by them without pushing them and we've got em on Nintendos, phones, etc. They look fine, touch screen works fine but, haven't put a rock to it or anything so, it will be our go to for small screens until it isn't. I can't speak to install because I have Total Tech so, people that know what they are doing put them on for no fee. Which is another good benefit of Total Tech and I am becoming increasingly happy with that program.
