Good bass extension during the right scenes without being overdone. This film provides an enjoyable entry into the films from the Tom Clancy novels. It just gets better with each viewing. A close second to to "The Hunt for Red October" in 4k.

Every time you watch it, you come away from the experience uplifted and hopeful that, in the end, even the worse situations can work out to our benefit. Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins give two of the best performances of their careers. Excellent film!! Love the 4K transfer!! Definitely top 10 list!

The first in the Batman trilogy by Christopher Nolan, this film truly sets the tone for Bruce Wayne, his origin, and why he's not like other "superheroes". It's dark and gritty, but still gives you someone to root for. Because many of the effects aren't CGI and misplaced makes it all the better and more enjoyable. I really like Cristian Bale as the Batman and I have all three Christian Bale Batman movies. A true must-watch!

You can ask it questions, the weather, play music, etc. Never have to reset the time when power goes out or daylight savings. It doesn't have built in AM/FM, but it can play local radio stations over WiFi. Superb Color Accuracy & Picture Detail

While the Sony A80j OLED TV may not seem that bright when compared to the measured brightness of LED backlit televisions, the perceptual brightness of the picture, especially specular brightness, in a darkened room looks even brighter than LED TVs. As professional reviewers point out, this is true because of the great contrast between the absolute blacks that OLED technology has, which even micro-LED multi-zone backlit VA panels cannot match. Combine this attribute with Sony’s unmatched XR processor and X-Reality Pro engine and an OLED panel with a broad color spectrum, and you have a television that other companies cannot equal for detail, color accuracy and sharpness. Once all the settings have been tweaked (there are several instructional videos on YouTube for suggestions on this), you can also go to RTINGS.com for the white balance and 10- point colorspace calibration.

List price is now over the top, but I was able to get it for $150 during Black Friday week in 2021. Works especially well with Sony TVs, which will turn on when the X700/M is powered up and also recognize the HDMI port the 4K player is plugged into. You can then start watching a movie on a disc or stream to the TV.

Good Trek Trilogy with Great Picture and Sound

Some of the earlier Star Trek movies will always be hard to beat (the Wrath of Khan, the Voyage Home and First Contact all stand as superb Trek classics). This is especially true for fans of the original 60s TV series (with Kirk, Spock & McCoy) and the Next Generation series with Captain Picard, et al. That being said, this trilogy contains some of the best acting I have seen in Trek films and overall they do a good job of keeping the plots coherent while putting a different spin on the Star Trek timeline. This 4K UltraHD Transfer is an excellent upgrade from the standard Blu-ray discs. The Dolby Atmos audio is outstanding and blows away the Blu-ray sound tracks! One can only hope that there are more Star Trek movies to come...

The original Terminator movie and its sequel, Judgement Day, are two of my all-time favorite movies. The blend of action, drama, pathos and humor, combined with top-notch acting from a great cast and superb direction by James Cameron, made these thriller/action movies instant classics! New cast members, such as Grace and Gabriel/Rev-9, add new dimensions to the series and promise much for future iterations. Arnold is a living legend who finds himself in a new and interesting role in this film. And the return of Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor is essential: she played a major part in T1 & T2 and her absence was felt in the other installments. Overall, Terminator: Dark Fate is a worthy successor to Terminator 2: Judgement Day. If we are lucky, it will launch Terminator into a new renaissance via feature-length films or a TV/streaming series.

What is the actual refresh rate? 120 or 60hz
The Vizio P65-E1 P-Series 65" Full Array LED Smart TV has a true native 120 Hz LED panel. This is currently the fastest native refresh rate for any LED display, regardless of manufacturer or stated refresh rates. The higher advertised refresh rates for most TVs are achieved using backlight flashing to mimic a higher refresh rate. This actually works quite well on most LED televisions and I alway recommend setting the Clear Action (or MotionFlow or whatever a TV maker calls it) to ON (or its highest setting). This really helps generate an image with more motion detail and smoothness when the screen displays an object in motion and a scene with camera panning.

Our 55” LG often drops signal when streaming Prime & Netflix. Looking to upgrade to the Vizio P-series 65”. How is the streaming quality/signal?
The Vizio P65-E1 P-Series 65" Full Array LED Smart TV that I purchased in Nov. 2018 never drops the signal and has had no problems streaming Netflix and Youtube (I do not have an Amazon Prime account). Be aware though that I have a high-end, high-speed multi-channel MIMO TP-Link router with beam forming and six antennas, and high-speed 150 Mbps fiber optic internet service. I can only say that with the right wireless router and high-speed internet, this TV works great!
