First off, "Tenet" is grandly entertaining and much like Nolan's other works, a spectacle begging to be seen on the biggest screen possible. In this sense, "Tenet" really works. From it's opening scene and throughout it really delivers on the action and spectacle. Like other works written by Nolan, the film is awfully preposterous but still amazing cinema.
As for this 4K release, it's one outstanding presentation. One of the best looking discs out on the market. It's visually resplendent.

This phone, particularly 256gb is the best iPhone at a fairly decent price point that you can get. It’s missing the extra camera, premium display and slightly bigger screen size of the Pro Max, however its still a premium phone with a very adequate screen size, HDR display on certain movies, and a still excellent camera set-up. With this storage space, you should have plenty of room to fully enjoy your phone. iOS is a fun and stylish but minimal and easy to use OS. The Apple ecosystem syncs up perfectly with all the great Apple devices in our lives.

Visually stunning film looks best on 4K

"1917" is a hard-hitting film about two British soldiers sent on a dangerous mission to save 1600 men from certain doom. It's a huge technical achievement, yet a fully immersive WWI epic. There are also some great performances at the center of the film. McKay and Chapman disappear into their roles, absolutely pulling us into the story. Speaking of story, there isn't much of a narrative. I basically described the entire story in the first line of this review, nevertheless "1917" is fully cinematic. The film definitely has an impact as well. General Sherman (of the Union army during the Civil War) has been quoted as saying, "war is hell" and Mendes does not ever diminish this message. It truly offers a vision of what it would be like for young soldiers wandering their way through war.
Cinematographer Roger Deakins shoots a visually impressive picture that feels like it's moving seamlessly as one piece. The shots and visuals have a propulsive energy that will delight viewers. The logistics of the camera give everything a raw and startling immediacy. The effect of this camera gives us a great sense of the day-to-day of WWI. Thomas Newman's score is definitely just as gripping and an impressive achievement as the cinematography. Some viewers might be exhausted by this experience and find it impersonal, but if you give yourself to the rhythm of director Sam Mendes' direction you will be rewarded with a rich work of art that also feels like Mendes' grandfather is sitting down with us and telling us a story of his days in the War.
The 4K disc itself is filled with immensely clarity. The presentation is resplendent. The color grading is vital and full. This is definitely a high grade 4K release and a must own.

Great 4K Quality

"Dark Fate" manages to be a successful sequel, as well as a successful reboot. The film features a screenplay, that despite some clunkiness, it has some clever ideas: to start in Mexico and introduce us to Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes), showing robots replace workers in a factory due to automation (foreshadowing what the machines in Terminator will do to humanity), Grace (Mackenzie Davis), a augmented cybernetically enhanced soldier, and to manipulate the story in to having us think that Dani is fathering the next John Connor type hero (since his and Sarah's actions stopped Skynet- but a new A.I., developer arises), but rather she is the new hero of this story: the one that the new Terminator (Gabriel Luna, who gives a great perfomance) has been sent to terminate; all of these ideas culminate to make a very watchable Terminator sequel that is the best sequel since "Judgement Day". With Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger returning everything seems to come full circle and "Dark Fate" emerges to become what could be the start of another batch of successful Terminator films.
As for the disc, it’s a positive one. Great bonus features. It delivers a quality presentation with great textual details.

It’s So Metaphorical

"It's all metaphorical" proclaims Ki-woo in Joon-ho's latest, "Parasite". While it certainly is meant to imply what's to come in the film is very metaphorical, it also is meant as a playful joke on those who are film critics and YouTubers who evoke that phrase over and over in their pieces. And that's essentially what we're dealing with in "Parasite", Join-ho’s playfulness in creating a tonal masterwork. He fantastically weaves the funny with thriller and social commentary until he has weaved the perfect story of 2019. It's a film for our times but also it's a great entertainment. From methodical production design, to a entrancing score, moments of unescapable tension, and performances that rival any other film this year, Joon-ho has officially stamped his name on the filmmaking map and has made the kind of film that has and should cross all borders, making Joon-ho a household name across the world.
The disc itself is the very best looking and sounding that a standard blu-ray can be. Highly recommended and one of the best blu-ray releases out there.

A breath of fresh air in the over-crowded superhero/comic book movie genre. The team behind this made so many fantastic choices that are just spectacular. The visuals are beautiful and the characters are funny and fun to hang out with. It’s only flaw was that it could of spent more time with some of these characters as humans, instead of trying to follow formulas for creating “emotional arcs” in superhero/comic book films.
The 4K UHD presentation on this disc of an already beautiful looking film is quite good, not perfect as it’s an upscaled image but it’s still just as crisp and breathtaking as it was in the theatre.

This is essentially a great product, especially if you can get it on sale like I was able to. The 46mm has a nice big screen and it’s easy to use. Unfortunately it gets scratched easily and shows its wear and The battery life is great, as it can be used modestly for 2 days straight without a charge. The charging is very quick. Unfortunately this product could be “smarter”, it needs more apps, more autonomy, and it would be nice to watch videos on it. This is a great product though that makes it so you don’t have to rely on your phone so much and that’s the biggest perk here.

There will never be a television show quite like it. The way it combines qwerky cheesy humor with genuinely frightening imagery is jaw dropping. The Return doesn’t tie up all loose ends the orginal 1990 show ended with, and in fact it creates some new ones. But everything from the hilarious and frightening violence and imagery to the multiple story lines that come together in the end is executed perfectly. Also it has probably the best nuclear explosion scenes I’ve ever seen.
