Yet another example of what happens when a studio tries to adapt a comic to a movie and fails at it. This is one of those movies that not only did it flop, but it only tried too much to appeal to fans of Pamela Anderson and made it mainly about the actress than the story, kind of like Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie.
It's not the worst movie ever, it's entertaining, but having to sit through anything with Pam Anderson and watch her attempt to act and be tough really gets boring.

Worth it for the music score!

Every fantasy movie collection must have this classic. While not as well known as others, it does deserve a spot next to them. Clearly inspired (somewhat) by Star Wars, the movie starts off fast and doesn't let up as the heroes try to stop the evil force from taking over their world.
The best part of the movie is the awesome music from acclaimed composer James Horner. You'll recognize his style immediately from the opening scene and it really helps to set the tone. Another movie styled similar to this was Flash Gordon with Queen doing the entire soundtrack. It just makes the movie that much more enjoyable.

Unless you're deathly afraid of spiders, you'll have fun with this movie. It doesn't take itself too seriously like some other spider movies do, instead opting for a more humorous story rather than a horror story. Let's face it, a town overrun by giant, mutant spiders sounds more silly than serious anyway.

I'm just going to start off by saying, what's the point of a steelbook when there is no physical copy of the game to put in it?
That being said, it is a nice case and has some very nice artwork all the way around.
Not sure what else I'll use it for, but it was free with the Deluxe Edition so I can't complain.

Anyone who grew up with DOOM and DOOM II will appreciate what id has done with this version. It truly is "Hell on Earth" with a few subtle nods to the original 90's sequel, but updated to keep in line with the current franchise.
One of the most notable things that deviates from lots of other games is you start off with some tricks and weapons early on, instead of starting over from scratch every. Single. Time. (I'm eyeing you specifically, Metroid)
Most of the controls have been maintained since DOOM and a slightly different layout makes it easy and quick to learn new abilities and moves. I'm usually slow to learn new controls and while this is no exception, right now it's just a matter of remembering that I have new things to use rather than remembering which button does what.
The game runs awesome too. I haven't noticed any usual overheating issues with my CPU and GPU. Also, don't let the specs scare you off, I'm currently running this on a 2nd gen Intel i5 with an nVidia GTX970, a Samsung 840 EVO SSD, and 16gigs of Gskill RAM. Most of my graphics settings are on High/Ultra and there was only one point where I noticed a stutter, but it might have been something else running in the background on my system. Granted, a much more up to date system will run the game even better, but as long as you're running a system within the past five-ish years, you should be fine. The game loads quickly and loading game files is also very quick, much improved over DOOM 2016 load times that seemed to take forever. Though, building a new rig is in my near future.
There were a few hiccups and I was able to solve both issues. First, if the game absolutely refuses to load, like you hit 'play' and nothing happens, make sure your graphic drivers are up to date. I was behind by a few updates and once I updated them, it loaded with no issue.
There is also an issue using bluetooth headphones. The game will refuse to play any sound if you are using bluetooth headphones. There are many fixes out there, but everything I tried did not work and as I went through the list, none of them were fixes for bluetooth headphones, only wired headphones. So, I ran a wire up to my headphones and the sound works normally. I am hoping this is only a temporary issue and a later patch will address this.
Overall, despite those two minor issues, the game has been enjoyable and definitely holds up to its predecessor. So, go out, get yourself a copy and rip and tear until it is done.

If you like westerns and you like sci-fi, you'll enjoy Firefly. What makes this series fun is that while it's sci-fi at its core, there are no aliens, no planet destroying weapons, no planetary sized wars, it's a nice deviation from the standard sci-fi trope.

Done in a similar fashion as the Matrix animated movies, Halo Legends pulls many different animators and studios together to tell different short stories in one movie. It's fun and if you're a Halo fan, you'll probably find something you enjoy.

One of the greatest adapations

Rocketeer has to be one of the best adaptations made to date. Like "Superman: The Movie" before it, you will believe a man can fly... with a jet pack strapped to his back. Everything about this movie just worked. It does get a bit cheesy in some parts, but I think it adds to the prestige of the movie and the time it was featured in. It does suffer from some minor technical issues (like they never actually refuel the jet pack at any time), but plot holes will always exist in any movie. Most of the effects still hold up today, though now with high res TVs, a lot of the effects are much more apparent. Still, you won't be disappointed .
