One of my favorites from the 80’s, which I actually saw in the theater. I’m so happy to have it on Blu-ray. They did a good job with the picture and sound. Of course you will see some grain and some scenes are a bit soft. The sound is the best they had to work with. It has some nice interviews with cast and crew. This was a low budget film, but the director did a great job. The main cast is great as well. Highly recommend this purchase.

I thought the first one was pretty good. This one isn’t much of an improvement though. The game looks okay, but I don’t care for some of the play mechanics. It would be nice if you could save at any time as well. I don’t take too many chances or explore too much, in case I get killed, and have to start over. The game starts off slow, and the zombies look like something from a PS2 game. I actually prefer playing the Dead Island games. Those are a blast to play.

I bought the first game, and didn’t like it much. I had higher hopes for the sequel. The production values are not the best, but they look okay. There’s just something not right, maybe the controls or gameplay, just not sure. The game glitches out as well, game ending glitches. I was going through the town collecting everything I could. I decided to go back to the safe house, to save my progress. The game froze when I tried to save. I lost all my progress, I was so disappointed. I lost heart and decided to just delete it. So beware if you buy it.

Like many others stated, I’ve had the same issue with controller drift. It was like my controller was possessed. Now time to buy a new one, before the resellers get them. Glad Best Buy still had them at a decent price. The controller has good weight to it, and seems solidly built. Better than buying the off brands. So pick one up while you can.

Didn’t know anything about this film when I bought it. I’m a fan of the genre, and I wasn’t disappointed. This is not your average story, and it pulls you in. Keep in mind this is a drama with well drawn characters. If you’re looking for wall to wall action then you may not like it. The action doesn’t start until the last twenty minutes. What a great twenty minutes it is though. The Blu-ray looks amazing, with great clarity. No extras to speak of, but not a big deal. Own it!

Dune in pieces

I’m a fan of the original film, and a fan of the the director of Dune 2021. Problem is this is only half a film, and I really hate when they do that. What if the film failed at the box office?
Watching the film I get the feeling that something is missing (besides the ending). For as long as this film is there doesn’t seem like a lot of story progression. Characters seem to be glossed over. The director tends to hit the same plot points as the original film. Even though the film doesn’t bring anything new, it is beautifully shot and directed.
The steelbook is okay, not a big fan of the design. The extras are broken up into short segments. I really wanted to see a deeper documentary like from script to screen. The original is a cult classic, but we’ll have to wait and see on this one.

I really enjoyed the first two seasons. I had a hard time getting through season three. Bad writing, bad plot and forced woke into every episode. The crew is supposed to be the best of the best, but they cry all the time. They also show a lack of backbone. The fact that there is a season four gives me some hope though. Sorry I can’t recommend season three.

I thought the first film was okay. This one was poorly written, no real plot, and the jokes fell flat. I didn’t find anything to like about the characters, except maybe Carnage. When he transformed it was pretty cool. If you collect steelbooks, this is a must own.
