WEAK RANGE & ARMOR GLITCHY

The range on this is horrendous, so bad that I'm not even sure that the satellites are working. I should have known that would be the case when setting it up -- the satellites wouldn't even connect to the router unless they were within about 8 feet of the router! Our house is only 2200 square feet and these satellites can't remain connected to the router. THEN there's the issue with Netgear Armor. Once I turned that free feature on, the system became unpredictable, with devices dropping out being shut out repeatedly based on my preferred detailed settings using the web interface. I thought it would be a good additional layer of security given that I subscribed to BitDefender for years, but it must have been rushed to market because it doesn't play well with this Nighthawk 6e mesh system. After many years of being a Netgear loyalist and having spent over $450 on this POJ, I'm done with Netgear.

Only 3 stars due to the Microsoft Windows software, NOT due to the HP laptop. The software ruins this wonderful machine with its hidden apps, bloatware, difficulty fully shutting off app "features" in order to create greater privacy and security. If you're someone who wants every bell and whistle that Microsoft builds into its latest version of windows to fully "automate" it for the user, then you'll love the machine. But if you're like me and attempt greater customization, I think you'll be as frustrated as me.

Bad crackling sound on nearly all cameras!

I bought two sets of these Pro 4 Camera Security Bundles because they were on a screaming-good sale at $299 per set. As a long-time Arlo owner who had all of my previous 9 perfectly-performing cameras left being no longer supported as the result of Arlo's infamous (and nefarious??) End Of Life proclamation, I thought this would be a cost-effective way to upgrade to their newer cameras. Unfortunately, 5 of the 6 cameras suffered from constant crackling and echoing in the sound, especially when using the open mic function. Even the 6th camera had the problems, just to a lesser degree. I did all of the camera software updates and researched online before returning them to try to eliminate the problem but it appears that there's consensus online that there's no known cure for the crackling problem, it's just a sign of bad hardware. It makes me wonder if the cameras that are put into these super-inexpensive kits are part of a bad batch and known to have problems, or if I've just grown jaded against Arlo given their EOL shenanigans. Also, just so you're not surprised like I was, you should know that the security mounts that come with these cameras have a larger, specialized, squared-off bolt hole in the camera case's back, not the old 1/4" thread. If you decide to go through with this purchase, good luck, I hope you have better luck than I did!!

Really Outdated and Not intuitive or Flexible

I'm giving this only two stars because three stars is categorized by BB's rating structure as being "average" and this software doesn't really measure up to what's considered average these days in software. This software certainly does a good BASIC job of putting together a will or trust for you, but the software is really quite old-fashioned as though it really hasn't been updated or modernized in -- seriously -- about 20 years in terms of its features, user interface, intuitiveness, etc. It's rather "clunky" in that you really have to hunt-and-peck and be comfortable with trial and error to find out how to do what you want it to do. It gives you tons of great information on what wills and trusts can do, but then, disappointingly, the software is not able to do those things. One example is that it states that trusts are designed to be flexible, to be able to create specific instructions for how each beneficiary is to receive their bequeathed items, depending on their age, maturity, circumstances, etc., whatever you wish. But the software does not give you that level of customization, there's not even a dialog box in which to type specific instructions for each of the beneficiaries, rather, you just get to assign a percentage or fraction of whatever you're leaving to each beneficiary. Essentially, you have to simply write all of those specific details in a letter at the end! Well, I can do that on my own without using this software! There are many, many more examples that I could write, but you get the point. Good luck!

Spotty-poor streaming quality, just OK offerings

Got this free trial and it's just OK. Fairly interesting selection of programs and movies, but not "incredibly amazing" by any means. I started by watching the much-awarded Ted Lasso and I was underwhelmed...it's ok but I don't think it's as great as all of the award shows would make you believe. I've come to realize that its awards may be more of an indication of the sad state of overall quality in streaming shows more than anything else. Anyway, moving on here, I've also been very disappointed that Apple's servers or something constantly reduce the quality of the stream to the point where you can actually see individual pixels on-screen. I don't get that with the other big streaming services that I use on the same exact equipment. This is inexcusable from a company like Apple given it's deep pockets and supposed emphasis on quality. Also, when you pause or rewind, the time to re-engage with the show takes an annoying length of time compared to other streamers (again, skimping on their servers?). Lastly, if you want to watch the credits at the end of a show as I sometimes want to do, it only occasionally allows you to do so -- I still haven't figured out what the trick is there. In any event, I won't be buying the service after my free trial expires.

Can the subwoofer operate properly if it is laid on its side?
I'm guessing you want to lay it flat on the wide side and, yes, I THINK it would work, although I've never tried when I had mine. If it matters to you, the woof will be shooting straight up into the air and the shiny, "decorative" side will be facing down. Not sure if the internal mechanics of the speaker are designed to operate that way. One potential problem for sure would be vibration so I'd recommend putting those small rubber nubs (Home Depot, Lowes) on the side you lay it on.
