Too many much foul language

If you think that this is just another western movie take-off, think again. Anything with Seth MacFarlane will probably not be the run of the mill type entertainment. We purchased this Blu-ray version after watching a chopped up version (with commercials) on one of the too-many cable channels. The biggest difference between the version shown for broadcast and this one is the level of profanity that you'll hear from the actors. I'm sure there was a titter in the audience at the movie theater when this first aired, but the true comedy written into this picture is far stronger than the laughs a couple of curse words generate. No, it isn't believable, but it is thoroughly entertaining. If you're willing to put aside your bias regarding conventional western comedies, I think you'll really get a kick out of this one.

Very watchable

I remember watching this in theaters back when it came out, unlike most parents then and now, my mom let me and my two older brothers see these kinds of movies, she brought us with her to see them! Back then these were something more unusual, though in a way they are still unusual, since now it would have ended with no one surviving or with the last assumed survivor getting grabbed just before the credits rolled!

Great Action Movie as all the stars shine. Lots of Action and violence. I thought Gerald Butler was superb as a Policeman who tries to stop a Federal Reserve Robbery I said before the action scenes are great and a little humor even thrown in.

The movie started out good but about two thirds of the way through inter the same old inbred back woods cannibal crazies. This movie went from a four to a zero in sixty seconds. I really wished I had read the reviews first. This movie is awful, it's cliche to the point of laughable unfortunately its not funny in any way.

One of my favorite movies. I watch it religiously every Saturday with breakfast. It's not that I don't know what's going to happen or that the movie is great, I mean the movie IS great but I've seen it a million times. Something about Em's story and his gift is amazing. I'm sold. He can even act!

1917 is about two World War I soldiers (George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman) who are given a very important mission: travel across enemy territory and inform the leader of 1,600 of their brothers-in-arms that they're walking into a trap. This is an incredible piece of cinema!!!
