Perfect casting

Great movie to watch on a cold winter day! Casting Kate Winslet and Idris Elba was a stroke of genius. They look like an odd pairing in the beginning but watching the movie as it progressed, it was perfect casting. Elba's physicality adds to he realism that he really could lift and drag Kate Winslet's character through the deep snow. The inevitable happy ending was sealed after both struggle to survive the plane crash and the challenges they faced to be rescued. If you invested that much bonding with another human being, one can't help falling for each other, especially after so much hardship and close to death encounters. The stark beauty of a hostile mountain range in the winter is a sight to behold but oh so awfully dangerous. Surviving the elements together makes a great love story.

Be warned, Blu- Ray nor DVD Has No black bars at the top & no options to change it on menu so That's disappointing... But, For us , this is our Favorite Charleton Heston Movie. Absolutely The # 1 Classic Bible Movie!! I highly recommend this for Jews, Christians & Gentiles alike. The great Mr. Heston is just awesome in this and he's been in 2 other classics as well. So glad it's on blue-ray.

Why did I wait so long to see this movie? It's fantastic! Fun and entertaining. Interesting characters. This movie is all about the underdog fighting back. It's perfect for the times we are living in now. It holds up really well. Great soundtrack too.

Based on the Marvel Comics character, Pamela Anderson in 1996's Barb Wire, did justice to the dystopian heroine. Though it wasn't a great Box-Office seller, the movie found its legs in the underground cult scene. Pamela Anderson played the moody, take-no-crap protagonist masterfully. The movie has a good pace, plenty of action--with very few slow moments. The story is not all that original, but the presence of the bomb-shell, Pamela Anderson, makes it all worth while. My only complaint is they never made any sequels. I've owned Barb Wire previously on DVD. I had to purchase the Blu-Ray edition, to showcase on my Xbox One S. Package includes the Blu-Ray movie only.

Prima Donna actress Dunaway is unable to involve this reviewer with her histrionic performance, but the rest of the ensemble cast is quite good. By today's standards this is a 4/5 star movie, but by the standards of the 70's it would rate a 3/5. New York City looks quite pathetic here and adds to the kinky ambiance of the plot. Unusual story is the highlight of this American film, but the Italians had been doing this sort of thing for quite some time prior to this film's release, although credit "Eyes" for being more restrained than their European cousins.
