WOW both color and b/w, unexpected and AWESOME quality! We debated about watching it colorized, you know...that purist perspective says NO to that. But we watched the new colorization and it was an amazing experience in 4k upscaling to see the fabrics, textures, real colors of the past and every pore on their face. It helps take you back in time!

Classic trilogy

Have loved these movies for years and watch them every year but our DVD version were having issues. Probably wore them out so we upgraded them to BluRay. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite of the 3 because they are all well done. I'd like to see them do another one with their child grown up but sometimes pushing a franchise can ruin it. So i'll be happy with these three and watch them until I wear these discs out/

Not the best

So many great actors but I'd probably still prefer the original. It's interesting that the director (Tim Burton) seemed to try to give it a feel similar to the 70's original. The music (composed by Danny Elfman) also followed the theme of the original. All in all, I think I would rather see the original. The apes were more believable. And this version passes up Cornelius, the best character in the original, in favor of a female ape love-interest. Doesn't work in my opinion.

This movie has and will redefine the exorcist genre. It is absolutely the best exorcist/demon movie produced in the past 10 to 30 years. This film has made Priest other worldly superheroes. Absolutely wonderful. I don't speak or read Korean or any Far East language and relied on sub-titles yet this movie is still a Grand Slam Home Run!

A great telling of a story

I can't say I am much of a fan the subject matter of the movie as it is very disturbing. But I am a fan of Lisbeth, and Rooney Mara did an exceptional job in the role. She truly brings the character to life as I envision her. Were it not for the Lisbeth character, I would probably not have any interest in the movie, but she makes it worth while!!!

Interesting look at the culture of the Marine, boot to theater. Jamie Fox is excellent as a Staff Sergeant and there is some great cinematography and atmosphere, like the burning oil fields which were otherworldly. This film does not show action or engagement, mostly the Marine's relationships, personalities and dynamic. The brief look at their lives after they return to the US sad. Ultimately a character study, set in the Core.

This show reminds me of Justice League and JLU series from the early 2000's in the best kind of way. This series shows that's it's matured and have to deal with much bigger problems and much off the original cast have to take more responsibility in much of what they have to deal with really fleshing out these characters even more so than the first 2 seasons.
