A Great Conclusion to the Three Flavours Trilogy!
on December 20, 2019
Posted by: MOVIEGEEK42
Verified Purchase:Yes
This often overlooked third film in Edgar Wright’s Three Flavours Cornetto Trilogy is filled with solid action and plenty of humor to boot. This time, series stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost face off evil aliens in this satire of the Body Snatcher films. Yes, “Shaun of the Dead” and “Hot Fuzz” are better films, but this movie is still pretty amazing in its own right. Check it out if you haven’t yet and revisit it if you haven’t seen it in awhile. I don’t think that you’ll be disappointed.

Love the Original “Wall Street”
on December 20, 2019
Posted by: MOVIEGEEK42
Verified Purchase:Yes
“Wall Street” is a film that was very relevant in the 1980s, but is sadly even more relevant today. It talks about the greed that often corrupts stock brokers that leads to honest companies being shut down and to insider trading. The sequel tries to give a more modern take on the same story, but it is admittedly outshined by the classic original. Still, this double feature set is reasonably priced and the first film alone is worth pulling the trigger on this product.

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It...
on December 9, 2019

This is a great set featuring some great action spectacles. Thanks to Tom Cruise and the various directors he has worked with over the years, he has successfully turned the films into America’s answer to the James Bond films. The movies are meant to do one thing and one thing only and that’s to entertain. Thankfully, most of them do just that. While I enjoyed the original spy thriller from Brian De Palma and get a guilty pleasure out of the John Woo helmed second installment, it wasn’t really until “Mission: Impossible III” that the series found all the right ingredients. If you’ve never seen any of the films or simply want to revisit the movies, then this is the set for you!

Fincher’s Underrated Masterpiece!
on November 9, 2019
Posted by: MOVIEGEEK42
Verified Purchase:Yes
I love this movie and hate that it didn’t get the attention it deserved at the box office. Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig are great as the film’s leads and the story is a tight thriller from director David Fincher. Like “Se7en” and “Zodiac” before it, “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” should be remembered as the amazing film that it is! If you haven’t seen it, pick it up now and enjoy! You won’t regret it!

A Decent Yet Flawed Anthology
on November 9, 2019
Posted by: MOVIEGEEK42
Verified Purchase:Yes
“Creepshow”, like most anthology movies, is built on the strength of the stories featured within. There are five stories in this movie and while most of them range from decent to great, there are a couple that are admittedly stinkers. Still, it’s a must have cult film for horror fans of any age!

Quentin’s First Film is Still Amazing!
on November 9, 2019
Posted by: MOVIEGEEK42
Verified Purchase:Yes
Granted, writer and director Quentin Tarantino may have created better films since this one, including “Pulp Fiction”, “Kill Bill” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, but this first effort already shows an amazing amount of skill. Tarantino’s trademarks of unexpected violence mixed with clever dialogue and despicable people that you can’t help but to love is here from the beginning. Crime thrillers don’t get much better than this!

The small but feisty fan-favorite Autobot takes center stage in this InchTransformersInch spinoff/prequel set in the late '80s, as a damaged Bumblebee (voiced by Dylan O'Brien) takes refuge in a Southern California junkyard... and finds a friend and protector in unhappy teen Charlie Watson (Hailee Steinfeld). She may not be enough, between an implacable government agent (John Cena) and a faction of Decepticons weary of hiding. With Pamela Adlon and the voices of Angela Bassett, Justin Theroux. 113 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.

Finally, the Transformers Film We’ve Been Wanting
on November 9, 2019
Posted by: MOVIEGEEK42
Verified Purchase:Yes
After suffering through five insufferable films, Paramount finally gets Transformers right... and it isn’t even called Transformers. This spin-off is about a girl and her Autobot. It’s set in the ‘80s and has Transformers that actually look like their source material. The action is good but it doesn’t overtake the two important ingredients that any decent film requires: a great story and an even bigger heart! If the Transformers films continue on this course, we could see the revival of everyone’s favorite “Robots in disguise!”

A Classic Vampire Tale from the Heart of the ‘80s!
on November 2, 2019
Posted by: MOVIEGEEK42
Verified Purchase:Yes
Director Joel Schumacher and producer Richard Donner delivered a great twist on the modern vampire tale with this film featuring two brothers who must face Kiefer Sutherland and a group of vampires. The film is definitely something out of the 1980s, but the fact that it embraces the decade is one of the things that makes it oddly timeless. The action and the effects are also pretty solid as is Schumacher’s direction. Great fun!

One of Robert De Niro’s Underrated Classics

The brilliant mix of “Groundhog Day” and “Scream”!
on November 2, 2019
Posted by: MOVIEGEEK42
Verified Purchase:Yes
Here’s a film that gave me a mashup of “Groundhog Day” and “Scream” that I never knew I wanted! The film is a pretty great little horror film about a college student that keeps repeating the same day that she’s murdered on and must find out who the killer is in order to stop the time loop. The film never takes itself too seriously and its self-aware attitude also helps while the entire cast does a pretty great job as well. Great fun for any fans of horror.

What does Region 0 mean in the description? Will this play in the US?

It should. I guess that may mean that it’s region free?

What is going on with preorders? There appears to be no option and not even any local stores? Is it sold out? Is there an error? Seems crazy it wouldn’t be available when every other steelbook coming out, including Star Wars and 1917, have the option.

For some reason, when the release date gets closer, Best Buy stops taking pre-orders. After that, you have to just try your luck that a copy will still be available when it comes out.

The exclusive steelbook for this sold out at every best buy near me in a day. Is there any chance that they will be restocked sometime in the future?

Sometimes they are, but usually once a Steelbook is sold out, you have to get the regular version.
