This set contains all three films from the Wachowski Siblings' The Matrix franchise. In The Matrix, a computer programmer discovers he is the only one able to save mankind from the machines; in The Matrix Reloaded, Neo must protect the Resistance from a rapidly approaching fate; in The Matrix Revolutions, Neo fights to end the war once and for all as the Machines locate the human city of Zion.

Now, I agree that “The Matrix” is a true classic and that the two sequels did fall short, but I still find enjoyment in both “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions” as well. This particular package is great because not only does it have 4K releases of all three films, it also has better box art.
I know that doesn’t mean much to most people, but for some it does. The outer case that holds all three films is good, but the box art on the individual cases is great, especially when compared to the original DVD releases (specifically “Revolutions”).
As far as special features are concerned, you get all the features that was included in previous releases. I didn’t really see anything new in that department, which is not a surprise as the Wachowskis were reluctant to have special features even in the past.
Overall, this is a great box set if you don’t already have Blu-Ray copies and/or you want to upgrade to 4K.

Considering that this two-pack cost only $10, I would say go for it if you don’t already own “Speed”. It’s worth more than that by itself and is still one of the best action films ever made. You can just take the “Speed 2” disc and toss it in a microwave.

Joaquin Phoenix is superb as the Joker in this unique origin story that takes a look at mental illness and how it is treated in this country. The movie is not easy to watch but it contains an important message and everyone should watch the film at least once.

Steven Spielberg has created several memorable films, but none are as important as this film that takes a personal, up close look at the Holocaust. It is an unrelenting and gripping film starring Liam Neeson as a morally conflicted man that tries to do the best he can during the worst of times. Everyone should watch this film at least once in their lives.

“RoboCop” is Paul Verhoeven’s excellent satire on corporate takeover and the downfall of old America. Peter Weller is excellent as Alex Murphy, a cop that is gunned down only to become the supercop we all know and love. It is an extremely violent film, so it’s not for the squeamish and faint of heart. If that doesn’t bother you, though, check out this awesome film with several great action sequences and a little bit of social commentary to boot!

This spin-off from the “Fast & Furious” franchise is quite absurd. There are plenty of over-the-top action sequences and the plot feels like it’s more out of a comic book than a series that was once about fast cars. Still, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham make this film work and you can feel that they had a good time making this movie and that makes you enjoy the ride as well. This is a rollercoaster ride that’s definitely worth taking.

“Deadpool 2” follows up the original film with another funny, action packed ride. It’s not quite as original as the first film, but it’s still a worthy addition to what just may be a two film series (we’ll have to wait and see what Disney does with the character). If this is the last film, by some chance, then it’s not a bad way to go out!

“2001: A Space Odyssey” is a film that inspired countless filmmakers and without it, the face of cinema would be very different today. With this movie, Kubrick aims to make us feel the true majesty of space exploration while also showing us where humanity might end up if we continue looking to the stars. Now, you can see this masterpiece in glorious 4K! Highly recommended.

This is probably my second favorite Quentin Tarantino film (“Pulp Fiction” still holds the number one spot) and it is a joy to watch. Tarantino’s love letter to Hollywood is filled with signature Tarantino characters that you love to follow and all of the clever dialogue that you could ask for. There’s also plenty of violence with plenty of the twists and turns that you would come to expect from Tarantino!

The first “It” came out in 2017 and it was a great horror film. It also covered the best part of Stephen King’s story. That means that “It: Chapter Two” is left with telling the rest of the story. While it isn’t the strongest, but Bill Hader is the breakout performer here but everyone shows up to bring this story to a satisfying close!
What is going on with preorders? There appears to be no option and not even any local stores? Is it sold out? Is there an error? Seems crazy it wouldn’t be available when every other steelbook coming out, including Star Wars and 1917, have the option.
For some reason, when the release date gets closer, Best Buy stops taking pre-orders. After that, you have to just try your luck that a copy will still be available when it comes out.
