Silent Hill 2 is a classic in the survival horror genre, and the remake breathes a new life into the 2001 PS2 classic, remixing many of its iconic moments without losing what made the game a fixture in many horror fans collections.
Combat, while a bit clunky, has just the right mix of new and old without making things too reliant on action. Ammo is scarce and takes a long time to stockpile, and sometimes fleeing is a better option than risking wasted ammo or drained health restoratives.
Puzzles, depending on the difficulty chosen, can take some effort to solve, requiring some outside of the box thinking, or be easily spelled out, allowing for players to enjoy the challenge of the brainteasers at their own pace. The same applies to combat, with three levels of challenge that will test old and new horror fans.
The remake has all six endings from the original releases of SH2, along with two new endings exclusive to the remake, allowing for a ton of replayability through James' journey through the foggy town

alright so lets say I have this on digital because its a ps+ exclusive game, if I bought the disk version so I wouldn't have to pay $14.99/month, would I have my data saved? or would the disk just make a new game?
Yes, you would still keep your saves. The subscription to Plus ending would mean no longer having the perks of the cloud backup. The only time it wouldn't work is if you were playing the vanilla version of a game on PS+, but swapped to the physical release of the GOTY edition, though in some cases it may still work.
