I've always liked Angel Heart, despite some of the film's logic/plot shortcomings. Rourke is at, in my opinion, the top of his game playing the grounded Harry Angel and he's the story's glue. Most of the other actors, especially DeNiro (who feels hammy, to me) are just sort of satellites in Mickey's orbit.
But, I digress...
This 4K steelbook is a must-have if you're a fan. The film's previous releases have been serviceable, but this UHD makes it feel like I'm seeing the movie for the first time. Image and sound, but especially the image, are truly impressive after the quality uptick/resolution uprez. Likewise, the steelbook's artwork is very nice and fitting. If there were a full poster size, I'd gladly frame and hang it.

I've only had this oven for a short time (and maybe it's because my last stove was so mediocre), but it seems to work really well, doing exactly what it should. The location of the broiler, which I doubt I'll use very often, is a bit weird and might put people off. That minor nitpick aside, I would recommend this to anyone not looking to spend a grand to bake their food.

I'm weary of reviewing major appliances after having only had them for a month (and considering the issues Samsung has with compressors) however, for the cost, I don't think I could've made a better purchase at this price.
So far, this is a no frills, though very well made refrigerator. At $1400, you won't get the see-through door or lower drawer freezer, which I don't understand the need for anyway. However, you will get substantial shelf space in the cooler/freezer and water/ice in the door, as intended.
When plugged in, it started cooling right away, no issue there. We ran several cycles of water and ice through before consuming any, though there was still a slightly strange taste to both. Just needs more time, I guess. Like I said, it's worked well and hopefully will continue to.

I'll be honest: after the stellar RE2 Remake, I'm pretty disappointed in this release.
The original RE3 wasn't a very long game, but this remake is even shorter, with large portions of the original game excised for seemingly no reason.
What's available isn't bad by any stretch, though the brief length seems like there was some intention to release a Director's Cut or DLC that was canceled.
The included multiplayer mode is pretty much superfluous and I salute anyone still playing it. I wish there'd been more development time/funds spent on themain game that this uneven experience.

I'm not totally sure who thought Rogue Trooper needed a remaster, but it doesn't seem dramatically better than the original release.
Its still a middle of the road 3rd Person Shooter that's competent enough, though by no means engaging. Maybe if I were a fan of the source material it would better grab my attention.
As it stands, neither the gameplay or graphics are very impressive, but for a few bucks, it's a fair distraction if you have nothing else to play.

Doing a comprehensive review of EVERYTHING in this enormous set would take me a long, long time and you'd lose interest way before I was done, so I'll just say this:
If you're a fan of the Friday the 13th series, this is, unquestionably, a MUST OWN. Scream Factory, who almost always has comprehensive releases, went above and well beyond.
Want the multiple cuts of a certain Friday; it's on a disc here, along with enough special features to keep you busy for a day's worth of immersion. Combine this with the 8 plus hour documentary Crystal Lake Memories and there's your weekend plans. You're welcome.

If the option for half stars was available, I'd give Cyberpunk a 3 1/2.
The game isn't "capital B" bad, but it's just not very good, either. I was REALLY looking forward to this RPG, but after roughly a dozen hours, it's getting harder and harder to find reasons to keep playing. The combat is decent, however the questing and driving is meh. The game-play and environment aren't nearly as deep or immersive as the devs made them out to be in the numerous previews that lead up to release. And, the bugs... even after several patches, it's still pretty messy and I'm playing on the Series X.
The physical copy comes with some nice extras and, given that I only paid $10, this wasn't a bad deal, but I can only wonder what could've been if this game had been left to develope for longer.

I wasn't expecting much from this steel book, in all honesty. Based on past experience, they're very hit or miss when it comes to quality.
However, I'm proud to say, the Cyberpunk 2077 steel book I received was in great shape and even had room for both discs and some of the extras that came with physical release. Also, the cardboard slip cover fits over the steel book nicely.

I've seen Ghost Story on tons of "Best of' Horror lists that tout it as an under-seen and terrifying film and felt the overwhelming need to finally experience it for myself.
After my blind buy and first viewing, I didn't exactly find it to be particularly frightening. It has a slow, plodding story with no real scares, just a subtly uneasy atmosphere. I LOVE great atmospheric movies, with stories that gradually build to a real pay off, but all the parts of GS didn't come together for me.
The horrific elements, which are quite few, only really manifest at the end and are very, very brief, preceding a rather unsatisfying conclusion. The film title actually feels something like a misnomer, upon reflection.
That said, the cast are all celebrated "older" actors and they really deliver believable performances, considering the subject matter. Alice Krige is, as always, phenomenal in what could have been a pretty straight forward role. She is both sincere and appropriately creepy at the drop of a syllable.
However, in the end, this is one for the already established fans only, in my opinion.
The sole surviving miner of a Valentine's Day disaster comes back to the aptly named town of Valentine Bluffs 20 years later to prey on the local teens, who have ignored warnings and decided to hold the once-cancelled holiday dance on February 14th inside the gloomy coal mine.

I won't review the film itself, suffice it to say, it's one of the most under-appreciated Slashers ever made. Gory 80's nonsense is the order of the day and MBV delivers.
The quality of this Shout Factory blu-ray's audio and video (supposedly a new 4k scan) aren't going to blow your mind, but are certainly better than you remember. The real reasons to own these discs are the "limited" designation and the special features, which includes both cuts of the film. Very nice.
The steelbook is well-made, though the art isn't my absolute favorite, I can appreciate the intention. Must own for fans of the film.

Pretty decent enough

I needed some additional storage for my recently acquired Series X and landed on this particular external drive. Partially because it's supposedly a Black quality drive and came with 2 months of GamePass.
I haven't and couldn't find anything concrete on specs and was a little disappointed when it came to the transfer speeds. I know it's not a SSD, but it copied files only slightly faster than an older 3.5" 5400 rpm HDD I was already using.
On the plus side, this external is very small, light and requires no external power source. I've always had good luck with WD, even though Seagate has comparable drives for slightly less. Time will tell if this holds up. Fingers crossed.
And, although it's "branded" as Xbox, this could just as easily be used with a PlayStation or PC.

I didn't check the expiration dates and no longer have the paper for the Game Pass codes, but mine activated just fine.
