Fake 4k, fake HDR.

If you have the blu-rays - keep them. The picture quality is marginally sharper and color is superficial due to fake HDR.
These discs are from the same sources as the bd discs and nothing has changed. These are not new, 4k HDR sourced material, which is why you do not see the dramatic upgrade from dvd to bd.
You might find it hard to resist because of the 4k package, but you dont need it.

I had a Sony, and that did not work, so I went back to old reliable LG! This makes for my forth LG in about 6 years. I was nervous to switch to Korean sets after coming from JVC and Toshiba.
While blowing is a problem, if you get the settings right, ypu can mimiize it was preserving darkness and brightness. Unlike the Sony that I had, this one does HDR with clarity and brightness! There is no ghosting and everything moves swiftly.
This also has HDMI 2.1, for gaming or whatever else may come. I highly recommend.

This tv was highly rated by reviewers, but in my hands, this tv cannot make the cut.
The options are very few on this, and the adjustments are all over the place and the android os is bad. The tv viewing has a bright, clean look as you would expect with HD. Blu-ray looks great too, but pop in a 4k disc and this tv gets too dark!
The darkness vannot be adjusted and if it could, i could not find the options. The hdr darkness is to the point that films are unwatchable. Unlike LG tv's where hdr can be adjusted so that 4k looks like it should be, this sony failed at 4k.
Everything else about this i liked, besides the android tv, which is bland. After a few days, a yellow stripe came on the screen from some place. I exchanged and went back to LG. I am more than satisfied now.

I needed a new drive to store movies to playback on my tv. Once this was attached - it was very clear that this was fastet and much more responsive that my previous drive, which broke down.
Quality for movie playback did not make too much of a difference, but the reading of files and indexing take no time.
The only problem (for my use) is when files get deleted, the remaining space is not properly accounted for. That could be the tv's os conflicting, but who knows.
I only deal with NVME drives, but these are good for storage and to start replacing mechanical drives.

Bad Disney 4k!

Disney does not make good 4k products, as they upscale and use fake HDR. Their spund volume has always been a problem as well. All Disney Star Wars 4k discs are upscales from the then George Lucas BD's.
I bought them all then returned all but Revenge of the Sith, since this was supposed to have been the one with the technical (color) upgrade.
I did an A/B comparison between 4k and the BD, and the BD is sharper and more detailed. This is because the latter two prequels were recorded in 1080p digital, with Sith having used the full 4:4:4 color while Clones used 4:2:2 or so. I did not see any improvement that go me excited.
If you have the BD's, stick with those because they are the resolution they are supposed to be - 1080P, and it cannot get any better, as it is essentially capped.
Some may feel compelled to buy, but you will be disappointed if ypu expected real 4k and HDR.

Not worth it in 4k

I had a feeling that a cartoon in 4K from the 90s would not translate well im 4k and with Dolby Vision to boot.
The picture is clear but the animation is not smooth and 4k does not do the artwork any favors. I did not look at the blu-ray version, but it may look better. DV does not show up with any benefit, it was probably a marketing gimmick.
I got it for Atmos, which was not strong. If it were not for the price, i would not have bought it. If you like it, then get it, but if you wanted to see stellar 4k cartoons, then this is not it. The 60s Jonny Quest blu-ray looked more pristine and 4k, even though it was 1080p...

I had a hard time evaluating this processor. It's supposed to be an entry point into HEDT, but the performance lags behind the competition. 5831 points on Cinebench R20, a few hundred above the 9900k, but well below AMD's 3900x. Yet it is much more expensive than the 3900x.
I'd only recommend this processor if you need 256 GB RAM support and the additional PCIe 3.0 lanes. Also, the power draw at 4.7 Ghz all core boost can reach 225W, so good cooling is an absolute must. Given the additional cost of cooling, power draw and lackluster performance, this should have been priced at $100 less.

You get this for the extra PCIE lanes, quad channel RAM, better memory controller, cheaper motherboards than a Threadripper, no need to buy a whole new (and expensive) cooler and TR3 CPU's cost way too much to entertain. These are good CPU's that still manage to take on AMD with more cores, which means that Intel's individual cores are still better. AMD wins on pure workstation performance due to having more cores, but you need more lanes to work with those cores for workstation use.

These reviews are funny but when it comes to true quality this cable can't be beat. The price is high of course which will shy away most people from buying but take it from me if you have the money to splurge and a great TV with a great audio system this is a wonderful addition to that collection. The cable is made from Silver which means it will always retain value. I own a Samsung 55F8000 with my Samsung F7500 Bluray player and it can't be beat I'm just glad they finally sell the 6.6 ft one on Best Buy since the 2 ft just isn't long enough for my mounted needs.

Been a Galactica fan since it first aired and got this copy on BB's Black Friday deal. Great picture transfer to 4k, but the picture is stretched to full screen from its native 4:3, which means some of the picture is lost. Could have upgraded to surround, only having a 2.0 audio track. Still worth the purchase.

Hello. I looked on IMDB because I too was curious about the original aspect ratio. It is still hard to decipher, but it shows the TV ratio as 4:3 and the THEATER ratio as 1:85:1. I guess this was shown in theaters, but I never knew it. Maybe it was in Europe. So which one is the real one? When things are shot on film, the ratio can be larger than what is shown. So widescreen could be the real one.

Can a X900F LED 4K UHD Android TV be repair if an electrical storm seemed to fry the electrical system. TV does not turn on - at all. At first, it was that the HDMI ports would not work, then, after two days, the TV died.

My laptop has an HDD but doesn't have internal slots for SSD. Suppose I cloned the existing Windows 10 OS using a SATA to USB cable to this SSD, Would I then be able to run the cloned OS on this SSD via the SATA to USB cable? Thank you for your time.
Unlessyour laptop is very old, it should fit in where a mechanical drive fits in. If it does not, i would suggest getting a new laptop first or it will all be a waste.
