Marvelous drone, unnecessary restrictions

I am new to drones, but traded in a refurbished Mini 3 (non pro, missing parts of kit) for the Mini 4 pro, which ended up costing me double the initial amount. My primary reason, as a newbie, was the 360 degree obstacle detection and avoidance, which gives some confidence you won't trash your drone the first year out. I am still exploring the various capabilities of this machine, but it is pretty cool to stroll along with your drone following like a pet dog, or the ability to set waypoints to launch the drone on a repeatable, set path. The only thing I don't like is that in some restricted areas, unlike the Mini 3, this drone will straight jacket your flying and you have to get permission from DJI to unlock it. If I already have to get FAA permission, why do I need to get it from DJI as well? Otherwise, this is a very impressive kittke drone.

Bought 2 of these but on used one so far. Put all my tunes on it and plugged it into my dashboard USB so I can play them direct rather than loading my phone up and connecting by bluetooth. Been using for 2 years without a hitch. It is small and doesn't protrude from the dash like the stick I used before, so is much less vulnerable to getting bumped or dislodged.

Refurbished DJI Mini 3 Drone

Mine as received was probably altered by the prior owner who removed the propellers and left them with the remaining pair after pocketing two of the three spare sets. Also, the data was not fully wiped so it took about 90 minutes with DJI to set it up for myself. That being said it it only had a start up and a hover (according to flight log) so was basically new, and it works great. My local BB was unable to obtain replacement propellers, so compensated by offering me a reduced price in a trade in for a new model. Overall the Mini 3 was a bargain even if I had to buy those missing propellers myself, but it doesn't have any object detection/avoidance which makes me nervous. The camera is quite good and the extra batteries nice to have, but even though it is a lot of drone for the money I traded it in for a mini 4 pro while I had the opportunity.

The first one I took delivery on decided after a couple of days of loading my software on and having data transfer, that it would no longer acknowledge my bluetooth devices. Took it to the Squad which and was told it is probably defective and return it. I exchanged for another and it seemed to have a similar reaction to Adobe Creative Cloud, so I think it had probably been software compatibility rather than a hardware issue, but this time it fixes itself on restart. Otherwise it is an impressive laptop; fast, beautiful touch screen, and just reeks of quality in materials and construction. Now that I have the Geek Squad on speed dial I may increase the SSD memory.

I think this was for the home delivery of a pedestal for our washer. We weren't happy to have to purchase this pedestal as we had a pre-existing one that was perfectly fine and the new one wouldn't match the one under our dryer. However, the Best Buy wouldn't allow the techs to reuse it. The crew they sent to install the pedestal messed it up the first time, scratching the washer, which resulted in it being replaced, and what was now a third visit. They got it right on the 3rd go around.
