A pretty good job with the 4k scan. Color correction and details have done this transfer good. Due to directors intent, this is not an imagine that will necessarily pop off your screen. It is, in fact, the best the film has ever looked and a great addition to the physical media family.

The 4k here is, at most times, absolutely stunning. These is a bit of inconsistency though with the picture quality on other scenes come in a nit softer. This is not enough to ruin the overall presentation. This is an exceptional 4k transfer with many demo quality scenes. I didnt like the film as much as I did the first film, but thats neither here nor there.
Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path in this terrifyingly suspenseful thriller written and directed by John Krasinski.

Very good 4k transfer here. Slight film grain throughout, but never heavy handed. The audio is what really shines here. The film itself is great. I will watch this movie many times.
It's name Event Horizon. The high-tech, pioneering research spacecraft mysteriously vanished without a trace on it's maiden voyage seven years earlier. But a weak, persistent signal from the long-missing craft prompts a rescue team, headed by the intrepid Captain Miller (Laurence Fishburne), to wing it's way through the galaxy on a bold rescue mission. Accompanying Miller is his elite crew and the lost ship's designer (Sam Neill). What they uncover is unimaginable interstellar horror.

Very good quality blu ray transfer. Its a bit more cleaned up and natural looking compared to the original blu ray. There are a ton of special features on here. If you love this movie, this is aust own for the collection.

Gorgeous steelbook for a good price. I love this film. It still preforms well today. The 3k transfer wasnt much of an improvement over the standard blu ray. Most of this is due to the color palette of the film. There arent many bright or vibrant scenes in this one and the HDR isnt given much chance to really shine. Its still a great movie, but a very average 4k transfer
Young Danny Madigan (Austin O'Brien) is a lonely 11-year-old boy who escapes from his bleak reality by glorying in the action adventure movies of his favorite film character, Jack Slater (Arnold Schwarzenegger). When his best friend, Nick the projectionist, gives him a special ticket to the new Slater film, Danny is magically transported into Jack's world, where the good guys always win. Danny becomes his helper as Jack battles a trio of nefarious bad guys, Benedict (Charles Dance), Vivaldi (Anthony Quinn) and The Ripper (Tom Noonan). But things get out of hand when Benedict steals Danny's magic ticket stub and transports himself into the real world, where crime can, and often does, pay. Jack and Danny must leave fictional Los Angeles for real-life New York and battle the villains without the aid of movie magic or stuntmen.

We~re bringing Quantum Dot Color to the people. Enjoy over one billion colors, without worrying about how many commas are on the price tag. You~re welcome. The U6G also has 4K resolution, Dolby Vision HDR and Full Array Local Dimming Zones. Sounds like science, looks like a way more expensive set. Especially with a quad-core processor managing all the algorithms that add up to more colors, more precision and more ooohhh.

A very good display for the price. I tested out some 4k physical discs and I will say the picture is very sharp. I prefer the picture in Theater Night mode. Its not the brightest of the ULED line, but it'll be just fine for a dark room. I would look into the U8 or U7 if its going to be in a bright room. I am very impressed with the sound. Even my lady commented immediately that it sounds better than our 75 inch Sony x900. She was right. I use a soundbar for the Sony; I do not use a soundbar for 65 inch U6G. I have not calibrated the display, yet. So, I havent seen the best it has to offer. I would absolutely feel good demoing a 4k feature on that panel. It is almost as good as very expensive displays.

Outstanding film! I bought this movie blind because of all the reviews from friends were so good. They were correct. Im extremely happy with this purchase. The 4k transfer isnt anything demo worthy and I never had a 4k feel from the picture quality. This could have been due to directors intent, but it felt average. If you want to save a few bucks, maybe the blu ray or dvd would be the way to go.

I bought this because I love the steel art and movie. The 4k transfer blew me away. The colors are clear, bright, and vibrant. The Race Wars portion of the film is absolutely demo worth as is most of the film. The best movie in the series and you can use to it show off your display.

Im impressed with the 4k transfer here. I noticed right away the detail and clarity improvements. This was a fun one to revisit as well. Im glad i decided to give it a spin.

Good TV for the price
ByChuck
I couldn't find any professional reviews on this TV at the time of purchase so I had to go by what you get for the price and looking at it in person. This really is a lot of bang for the buck given certain circumstances.
Pros: 65" 4k, HDR with Dolby vision, Android TV with Chromecast built in, good black levels and black uniformity, ARC support and 3 HDMI ports all for under 500 dollars. Good overall picture especially with 4k hdr or 1080p source. (Using Apple TV 4k set to Dolby vision 4k)
Mid: Mediocre grey uniformity with some corner darkening as well as along the sides, viewing angles are about mid range.
Mid to low: glares aren't handled well for a bright room as the TV brightness isn't very high. I found no controls for motion settings, also picture settings for brightness and contrast make too large of jumps for moving one click either direction quickly washing out colors. More fine tuning would be nice but you can still get a good picture with it.
Best used for a bedroom, or watching movies at night or if your looking for a decent mid-range picture for a low end price.
I did not test the sound since I have a sound bar setup but audio support for surround and sound bars is good through both HDMI and optical. My LG SH5B soundbar fit right underneath perfectly.
Side note, I almost didn't find the stands stuck on the top side of the styrofoam and they are a little on the flimsy side. If you are going to use them make sure kids or dogs stay away from the TV, otherwise wall mount it.

Im looking at this panel to wall mount in the bedroom. I cant find many professional reviews on this display either. I was looking at H8G, but then came across the 65 for this price. Thanks again for the in-depth review. Sounds good enough for a bedroom tv.
