'Iron Man 2' delivers almost non-stop action and excitement, and does a lot to set up the early trail of The Avengers adventures to come. As with the other 2 Iron Man films, this one is packed with humor and personal intrigue along with an abundance of action. The Blu-Ray release is well-done, with some cool extras.

Best Iron Man EVER

I love the one liners and the sense of humor this movie has even though its an action movie! When things should seemingly be serious, Robert Downey Jr., pops off something sarcastic and it had me laughing! Great movie! I liked that I could watch it with my husband and our sons and there weren't nude/make-out scenes, despite it being action packed- it was not gory, language wasn't offensive either. We have watched it multiple times!

I bought this and watched it when it first came out... but I must have been distracted while watching it the first time because I didn't go back to it until I was watching some of the newer Avengers movies. I was confused about some of the story line and decided to go back and buy all the Marvel movies and start watching them in order. I was told that I didn't remember this movie because it was so bad.... but after watching it (I think for the 2nd time) I really liked it! I love the humor that is put in on occasion to help offset the seriousness of the storyline. There were some parts that I felt were a little over the top, even for Marvel, but I think the movie was really well done.

A real gem in the MCU

A real gem of a movie in the MCU. MCU movies nowadays all have to be fool-proof guaranteed to appeal to as wide an audience as possible. Bought this movie to rewatch 10 years later and realized we are not going to get a story as grounded (the movie took its time having Tony build and perfect the suite) as this one anymore. It really felt like Tony Stark could indeed create a suite like this in reality, and more than any other movie Tony feels the most vulnerable as a normal human being without superpowers, and it's a nice reminder of that as we watch the new fantastical MCU movies where we tend to forget that aspect of him because Iron Man is treated to be just as powerful as the most super-powered.

Mighty indeed

I came into this with not really sure what to expect feelings, and I was just...blown away. The movie takes you back and forth between worlds and the imagery, the characters, the interwoven subplots are all captivating and intriguing and just really enticing to draw you in. I loved loved loved Chris H as Thor. He brings this type of depth and intrigue but also relatability at same time. There are some other big name actors in this film that also add to the story in deep but important ways, and I have to say I went into this thinking ugh Natalie Portman is in this as I don't like her that much but I even liked her in this performance too! Also, the teaser at the very end after credits is superrrrr fun. All in all enjoyed and would actually look forward to a rewatch.

Great MCU Edition

I loved the MCU's take on Carol Danvers origin story. Some reviewers said that the movie started off slow for them, not for me. I was interested in how they were going to unfold her origin story as well as seeing what their take was on how she got her powers. I thought it was well done. I enjoyed the movie from beginning to end. Can't wait until we get to see Captain Marvel in Endgame!

Great superhero movie

With over 20 films now in the official Marvel Cinematic Universe story line, it is an impossible and pointless task to pick favorites, at least for me. Still, from the moment the original 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' hit the cinema it found a soft spot in my heart that I imagine it will occupy forever. I love everything about this film - the characters, the cast, the loving attention to the original comics, the sweet and subtle tributes to the olden days of Marvel, the humor, the action, and on and on and on. 'GOTG' is a perfect film that holds up no matter how many times I watch it, which already has been a whole bunch. The Blu-Ray release is nice too, with some cool extra features.

Excellent Movie

Purchased this movie in 4K and it didn't let me down, I wanted it for my son as it was a Xmas present but unfortunately the 4K version didn't release until December 26th 2019. My son owns all of the Marvel films on 4K and to be honest we thought that Dr Strange was the best movie and I don't mean picture quality, for me it was nice to actually follow a film with a great story rather than just constant CGI like the other films, it was certainly a great introduction to a Super Hero and I think more films will come with this character especially as Iron Man/Captain America have now finished, Benedict Cumberbatch is a fine actor and this movie shows it. My only gripe is that it didn't produce a great soundtrack unlike the other Marvel films in fact only Shining Star from Earth Wind & Fire was the only one. Great film with a magnificent cast to match. Buy it.

Great superhero movie

There are a few places where I thought about hiding our daughters eyes and covering her ears, but I'd say this is probably fine for most 7+ age kids. I don't recall the actor's name off hand, but he played the part brilliantly. As many kids movies are these days, there is also a lot of humor that adults will catch and kids will not.
