Proof that the director has reached the level of master craftsman. This movie is two and half hours and is a true experience. You will leave exhausted. Don't go because you have a free Sunday afternoon. I saw this on the big screen and was speechless. I then waited ten months until I watched it again on my big screen tv. Also, don't pull out your big brain and try to figure it out. There's nothing to figure out. The message of the movie is stated within the first five minutes and, if you forget, is repeated in the last few seconds--- survive. The rest is spectacle and imagery. Suck up every minute of it. You will be hypnotized and then violently shaken out of your hypnosis every fifteen minutes or so. You will watch scenes that you know do not exist anymore but somehow you're watching it. FEEL do not THINK,or this movie will mean nothing to you.

Been a huge fan of Venom since the 90s and been waiting for a good live action adaptation of him ever since and it's about time! This film doesn't hold back, it hits fast and hard with top notch action and effects, capturing all the visceral and chaotic energy of the comic book character. Venom is a standout among antiheroes, part lovecraftian nightmare abomination and part twisted mad genius of Todd McFarlane and all awesome!
Don't let the critics fool you. They don't like comic characters to start with and their minds are blown and burnt on the runaway success of MCU. This is some of Marvel's best material free of social commentary reveling in it's own excellence!

Has been one of my favorite all time movies, so when I saw this come out on 4k with HDR and Atmos, I had to pick it up and I'm very happy with the purchase. The HDR implemented is very good, you can almost feel the heat from the sun and the atmos addition is amazing as you can hear every minor thing off in the sides or helicopters above. Must buy for any 4k collection or anyone who loves these type of movies.

Seriously one of my favorite movies. Sure CGI was a little overdone, but I mean c'mon it's based on video games. As a gamer, catching all the "Easter eggs" is definitely fun and makes it worth rewatching a few times to catch new characters from your fav games in the back ground. This movie was done creatively and makes it enjoyable for people who have dabbled with a lot of games and old school movies. A lot of the negative stars come from some who just aren't aware of the characters and scenes. If you're a true gamer you'll definitely enjoy this movie and it's meaningnif you search between the lines. Definitely one of the tops in my cartidge deck.

O.k. that's out of the way, movie is set on the day b4 D-Day and an army unit is sent behind enemy lines to knock out a radar / radio station that the germans have set up that can picked up the allies plane secretly flying into France for D-Day. After dropping into enemy lines, what's left of unit proceed to radio site only to find out that there's also been secret experiments going on to the villagers with horrorifying results , and that's when it goes crazy insane with germans, monsters, and everyone is trying to get out alive.

The movies are awsome in 4k!!! I own them in bluray and the picture quality is ok. I wasnt sure if I would see much of a upgrade in the picture quality with the first 3 films being transferred from 35mm film to 4k but I noticed a big difference. If you like the grain film look, stick to the blurays. If you like deep true to life colors and a clean picture. Go with the 4k versions.

Can’t go wrong here. It just does what they say it does. The separate audio output is genius. If you’re not investing in an Atmos sound system just yet, and who is? the separate HDMI port lets you connect to your existing audio. Controls are simple and if your smart tv is up to the task, and whose isn’t? you can control some functions through the TV remote. PS. Make sure you’re buying the x-700, the 800 is the older model and does not have the Dolby Vision upgrade (over the internet) and the built in WiFi is a big plus.

upgraded to Marantz SR-5013 from a Yamaha RX-A660. I don't know if there was something wrong with the Yamaha but holy crap the bass output difference is staggering. I ran YPAO multiple times and even manually calibrated with decibel meter on my phone. The latter helped a little. But just plugging the same speaker setup into the Marantz and running Audessey. Wow, Now I feel like I'm actually in a movie theatre. It brought that sub to life. My sub is a Klipsch R12SW. I always thought man this sub should be thundering way more than this. On the Yamaha it just felt boomy and not very punchy at all. Now with the Marantz. It's like I bought a new sub. Scenes in films I used for reference jesus man. Literal night and day difference.

Maleficent is Magnificent

I have enjoyed the live-action renditions of the Disney classics, and this one takes a twist on the story and puts it in the perspective of the villain herself. Although if it's not the story you recall seeing, it definitely holds its own with storytelling. Maleficent is the "Wicked" of Disney movies, where we see the actions and reasons for why she became evil, and also the redemption arc that is not present in the original film "Sleeping Beauty." I truly enjoy this change, but for fans of the longtime film it may come as a shock to see the changes made to the tale.
Aurora is now in the film for much longer, Stefan is an evil king, and the three good fairies are very different than the previous in terms of their actions. Some of the moments from the original are in there, but rushed and short. The main focus is on Maleficent, and her story arc. However, for fans of the original, this can also open up more to things we didn't know before about Maleficent.
I highly recommend this to any Disney fan, however I also advise that they brace for the changes in the story.

Best Spidey Ever

Until now the Sam Raimi ones got Spider-Man right the most. I had a problem at first with MJ being an outcast named Michelle and not a redhead. However, to me Kirsten Dunst’s was too awful and changeable.
Zendaya’s MJ has grown on me because she’s less conceited. While her scenes with Peter are more cute and funny. Than how stand offish MJ could be in Spider-Man 2 and 3 to Peter.
While the Mysterio scenes just blew me away and definitely do him justice. Jake Gyllenhaal did an excellent job. All the Iron Man tributes will make fans happy as well.
The whole school trip idea sounded lame to me though. Then you have Peter trying to avoid his hero duties, just to get closer to MJ. Also to relax after all the Infinity Stone drama.
However, Spider-Man Far From Home just might be the best Spider-Man. The last one was good but over-rated. It just felt like a light introduction to me. This film definitely made a better impression on me.
