Good movie, and beautiful in 4K.
I just wasn't aware that it had the gimmick of trying to appear like it was shot all in one take. There actually were about a dozen cuts, but they were hidden digitally. It worked out well and didn't really affect the flow of the story, but just seemed unnecessary in my opinion. All in all it was an entertaining flick. Great score by Thomas Newman as well.

Man, Disney went nuts with the DNR(Digital Noise Reduction) on this title, and it looks way too smoothed over at times. Unless you positively have to own Thor on 4K, then go ahead... it will suffice. Also, there is the added boost in color and brightness with the HDR. So there is that, too. But, if you already own the previous Blu-ray release from Paramount Pictures, I would just hold on to that one instead.

There was a problem getting a few settings to operate properly, like working out the HDR and then disabling the automatic dimming feature. But, there are some great YouTube videos that helped me hack my way around those issues... now everything works great! Has all the 3rd party apps I needed, and they all work great, as well.

The SOPRANOS was hailed as one of the greatest shows ever made 20 years ago, and it still remains as such! It holds up beautifully well! It's great being able to revisit this classic in HD now with this Blu-ray release. And, for the $50 price tag that Best Buy had it for when I bought it, it was definitely too hard to refuse the double-dip.
If you're a fan of the gangster genre in general, and of the late great James Gandolfini... GRAB IT! It's a great way to future proof this amazing series!

Most steelbook editions contain the DVD as well. Do any of these contain the DVD's? And none of the special features are listed. I am particularly interested if the 4k/blu-ray have extra features that the DVD's do not. Thanks for your quick reply. Cathy
4K Combo-Packs will only contain 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs... never a DVD. While Blu-ray combos will include a DVD as well(they should say this on the packaging). And, yes, a lot of times the Blu-ray will always have more special features than the DVD counterpart. 4K sets rarely have the special features on the 4K disc and will usually have all special features on the Blu-ray disc only(or a separate disc all together for special features). It really just depends on the title. The packaging should always specify these details.

Can I run HDMI from XBox One into the receiver then the audio through the speaker and HDMI out to a projector for video? Will this receiver split the audio out of the HDMI in and leave the video in the HDMI out?
That's exactly what I use it for... but I run the output to my 4K LED, instead of a projector. I wouldn't see why there would be any difference what video display you use. Plus, it works better to use the 4K pass through with this reciever... now I don't have any audio/video syncing issues, as I did with having the audio and video going through my TV separately(via optical cable and HDMI). Now both are fed through the reciever with one HDMI input to output.

Anyone using this with a ps4 pro (video pass through) ?
I use it for a 4K XBOX ONE S pass through... if that helps you any. It's great having a direct video/audio HDMI connection, as when I did it with the optical audio separate from the video, I would have issues with them falling out-of-sync with extended use... not anymore! Works great!
