... I didn't have high hopes for this remake going in, but man was it worse than I could have ever imagined.
As a fan of the original Child's Play, I really can't think of a single reason why that movie needed to be remade. After all these decades, the original still holds up. This remake was a HUGE step back in every department. Effects were bad... acting was bad... both story and dialogue were bad. Now there is no aspect of the doll being possessed by a serial killer(which was cool and creepy). Now it's just a robot doll that has its A.I. chip removed and wants to kill everyone... STUPID! I honestly can't give one single reason why I should recommend this movie to anyone. If you love the original, just watch it again and stay as far away from this one as you can!

A horror CLASSIC done right in 4K!

This is a fantastic upgrade of the Stephen King classic, with a brand new 4K scan sourced from the original 35mm negative, overseen by Spielberg of all people! It easily bests the 2007 Blu-ray release. I doubt this movie will ever look better than this! Warner has once again outdid themselves with this release! The standard HD Blu-ray that accompanies this release is also culled from the same 4K remaster, and is not sold separately. So, if you don't already own this movie on Blu-ray, and even if you don't own a 4K set-up, this is DEFINITELY the way to go! Even if you do own the previous Blu-ray release(as I do) it's still a worthy upgrade.

This is a great sequel and conclusion to the original DEATH OF SUPERMAN story. The Blu-ray version offers an excellent presentation of this superbly animated film. It also has great voice acting to boot! Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys the ever-growing DC Animated Universe library... as I do!

I needed to upgrade my 15+ year old 5.1 Sony audio receiver. The old one still works, but it's having issues decoding today's audio standards. I wanted to stick with the same Sony brand, as the last one did its job handsomely, until it became outdated. So, when I saw this early Black Friday deal, I snagged one without hesitation! Got it all set-up, and it works and sounds GREAT! Just as expected! Great movie at a great price! Best Buy had it for more than 50% off for a Deal of the Day special that celebrated Leonardo DiCaprio's birthday! Plus, I needed to upgrade this from my old DVD copy anyway... so, this was I deal I couldn't pass up! Highly recommended Spielberg/Hanks classic. You've also got Christopher Walken thrown in to the mix as well, which NEVER hurts a movie!

Great upgrade, that PUNISHES the old Blu-ray!

Bought this on black friday for $8 and it's definitely worth the upgrade for that price, for sure! I owned this movie previously on regular Blu-ray, and always felt that the picture quality was always rather flat, dull, and dirty. There was quite a bit of noise on that old transfer, like, black and white specks that pop-up all over the image, through out the movie. 4K UHD remedies all of those issues in strides! Now the image is much sharper, much more vibrant, and gone are the B&W pops on the screen. Plus, with HDR, the Miami sunsets look twice as gorgeous now... even though I hate that a Punisher flick takes place in Miami, and the gritty streets of NYC!
While not perfect, I can at least tell that any issues with the image now are inherent to the source material, and not due to the transfer itself. This 4K release looks as good as this movie will probably ever look. Definitely worth the upgrade, if you are a fan of the film.

The PREDATOR... now in the best quality it has ever been released in(and probably ever will be). The new master for this 4K ULTRA HD release is amazing! Especially compared to that godawful "Ultimate Hunter Edition" released some years back on Blu-ray. This time around, more vibrant colors and no excessive digital noise reduction. The movie was filmed with some pretty uneven methods back in the '80s, so any issues with picture quality is definitely inherent to the source material, and not fault of the transfer.
Also, in case anybody is wondering/interested, the Digital Copy did redeem in UHD through VUDU... it actually unlocked all three formats(SD, HDX and UHD) on my account. Which is a nice bonus. Hopefully, that's gonna be a new trend for Fox Digital copies. :)

Been wanting to upgrade this series to Blu-ray, but couldn't swing the $100 price tag. So, when I saw it on BestBuy.com for just under $55... SOLD! Glad I didn't hesitate either, as these sets sold-out quickly! Guess I'm not the only one who thought the price was right.
While not containing the extended episodes like the DVD sets, it is great to finally get to own this awesome series in WAY better quality and, most of all, in WIDESCREEN!
Also, it's a massive space-saver compared to the DVD sets, as well.

Bought it, got it, and it gave-out on day one.
Plugged it in and connected my entire entertainment set-up to it, and everything seemed fine. Woke-up the next morning and my TV wouldn't turn on. Freaked me out at first, as I thought it killed my big screen. So, I switched to another outlet, and kazaam, TV fired right up! Well, I guess that left me with 6 putts 7 outlets on the tower. But, then another outlet wasn't working... TWO DOWN! Seems like this unit was just killing its outlets, one by one. :/
Bad experience. Expected better from Rocketfish. Oh, well... returned it.

Most steelbook editions contain the DVD as well. Do any of these contain the DVD's? And none of the special features are listed. I am particularly interested if the 4k/blu-ray have extra features that the DVD's do not. Thanks for your quick reply. Cathy
4K Combo-Packs will only contain 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs... never a DVD. While Blu-ray combos will include a DVD as well(they should say this on the packaging). And, yes, a lot of times the Blu-ray will always have more special features than the DVD counterpart. 4K sets rarely have the special features on the 4K disc and will usually have all special features on the Blu-ray disc only(or a separate disc all together for special features). It really just depends on the title. The packaging should always specify these details.

Can I run HDMI from XBox One into the receiver then the audio through the speaker and HDMI out to a projector for video? Will this receiver split the audio out of the HDMI in and leave the video in the HDMI out?
That's exactly what I use it for... but I run the output to my 4K LED, instead of a projector. I wouldn't see why there would be any difference what video display you use. Plus, it works better to use the 4K pass through with this reciever... now I don't have any audio/video syncing issues, as I did with having the audio and video going through my TV separately(via optical cable and HDMI). Now both are fed through the reciever with one HDMI input to output.

Anyone using this with a ps4 pro (video pass through) ?
I use it for a 4K XBOX ONE S pass through... if that helps you any. It's great having a direct video/audio HDMI connection, as when I did it with the optical audio separate from the video, I would have issues with them falling out-of-sync with extended use... not anymore! Works great!
