The follow up to last year’s Death of Superman, Reign of the Supermen continues the adaptation of the famous comic book arc that DC Comics released in 1993-94.
Reign of the Supermen is a great sequel that picks up right where the last movie left off, sporting great animation and some pretty epic action sequences. They, of course, have to change some elements from the Comics, but for the most part, this is an extremely loyal adaptation with great character designs, amazing color, and a fantastic score. It’s definitely on of the best animated movies DC has produced recently and by far the best animated Superman movie to date in my opinion.
I would say if you’re a DC Comics fan or a fan of animation, this is definitely worth picking up along with Death of Superman if you don’t own that already.

If you looked up the phrase “guilty-pleasure” in the dictionary, there’d be a picture of Steel right next to it. This movie is pretty hilariously bad, but if you’re a DC Comics fan and looking for something fun you can throw on and watch with your friends and have a good laugh, this is for you.
The DVD itself is pretty bare bones: no special features, no commentary, and doesn’t even come with a real menu screen. You get the theatrical trailer with it, but that’s it.
Again, this is that guilty pleasure movie you just watch every now and again to remind yourself how bizarre the 90’s were.

Harold Ramos and Bill Murray re-team for what is inarguably one of the BEST films ever made. While it is a comedy, Groundhog Day holds a really profound and thought provoking message: what would you do if you had to keep reliving the same day over and over for eternity? How would you grow as a person?
This is probably my favorite Bill Murray movie that comes second just behind Ghostbusters. Seeing this movie in crystal clear 4K is well worth the upgrade, coming with the same special features as the 15th anniversary blu ray, but also has a digital copy redemption code.
If you don’t own Groundhog Day, this is well worth your money to pick up!!

This is by far one of the best Mission movies to ever be released. With spectacular stunts and an amazing score, Mission Impossible: Fallout is a great installment in the franchise.
This 4K release really shines during the IMAX sequences that were filmed for the movie, especially the HALO jump sequence and the climax’s helicopter sequence. This release also benefits from the fantastic surround sound quality.
The special features on this release are very in-depth and plentiful as they explore the return to the franchise and go into great detail on how they constructed the intricate and complex stunt sequences. It also comes with a free digital redemption code.
This is definitely worth picking up on 4K to enjoy the best experience that this film can offer.

This was probably the most disappointing movie of 2018 for me. As a massive fan of the Predator franchise, this movie was a fairly colossal disappointment. With a very weak and broken story and a lackluster cast, The Predator really falls flat. If you’re a student of film, I would recommend looking into the plethora of production problems surrounding this movie to learn more about why this movie fell so flat.
As a Home video release, I can’t really complain. The cover is cool and the special features are pretty decent. They unfortunately don’t go into any detail of the problems surrounding the production or how many times they had to keep re-writing the ending.
I would say that if you’re a Predator fan and NEED to complete your collection (like I do), I would say it’s woeth adding to your movie shelf, but would say you can probably save yourself a few dollars and buy the regular blu ray since the 4K disc is just an upscale of the 1080p. But the improved sound quality is quite nice and this does go well with the 4K release of the original trilogy which came out in late 2018.

I have to say: this film was fairly disappointing for me. I feel like it was an extremely rushed and cliched story with clunky dialogue, but does have some entertaining bits and pieces.
As a blu ray release, it’s pretty good. This is not a true 4K release but is actually an upscale. I would say if you’re looking to save a couple bucks, you could pick up the regular blu ray and get the same experience.
The special features are decent and provide some insight into the production. I think if you’re a big fan of the character and the movie, you’ll find a lot of cool factoids you’ll be happy to see.
I would say that if you’re a big fan of superhero movies and like having them all in your collection, this would be a good one to add to your collection. But if you’re just a casual fan, I would say you’d be better off to rent it first and then decide if you want to add it to your collection.

The Halloween franchise has been riddled with bizarre sequels and broken timelines since the first film hit in 1978. While not all of the sequels have been bad, I feel it’s safe to say all have more or less paled in comparison to the original.
I’m happy to say that the 2018 Halloween is a fantastic continuation in the Halloween franchise. Making things FAR easier, this movie ignores all of the other sequels that have been made, and acts as a direct sequel to the first film (creating yet ANOTHER timeline). Where this movie succeeds is in appropriately furthering the story of Lorie Strode and not focusing on giving Michael Meyers an intricate and over-blown backstory.
I feel it’s important to note that this is not a true 4K film and is actually an upscale of the film. The picture and sound quality are superb and give a great viewing experience. Seeing this on a big screen with surround sound gives a great horror viewing experience.
If I had to give a negative I would say that the special features are a bit lacking and don’t really go too in depth into the production of the movie. On the plus side, it does come with a digital redemption code.
I think if you’re a fan of the franchise, this is definitely a movie you want to add to your collection. Many criticized the movie for being a beat-for-beat copy of the original, but I would highly disagree. There are certainly some sequences and shots that mimic the original, but I think they’re more noticeable because the other sequels before this one copied those sequences as well. But the key difference is that this movie utilizes those scenes far better than the sequels and also completely inverts and reverses some of those sequences, changing Lorie to being the predator rather than the prey.
I would definitely recommend pick this release up if you’re a horror movie fan and especially if you’re a fan of the franchise!

With the release of Glass now upon us, Split is a great title to add to your collection.
I feel obligated to notify all buyers that this is an upscale release and is not a true 4K transfer. With Split being a relatively new movie, the difference is fairly negligible, but I would say that you won’t get a very noticeable difference in picture quality between the 4K edition and the regular blu ray. I would say if you’re big into collecting 4K blu Rays now, then it’s worth the price. But if it doesn’t really matter to you, then you can probably just get the regular blu ray and enjoy the same experience.
The special features are very good as they explore the production process and also explore James McAvoy’s performance and how he achieved his multiple personalities.
If you’re a little wary of buying an M. Nighy Shyamalan Movie, I would say that you can buy Split with confidence as it’s a great return to form for the director that is comparable to his past films like Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense. Well worth adding to your collection.

Coming on the upswing of Stallone’s career, Cliffhanger is a well-paced action classic from the best part of the 90’s.
Being shot on 35mm film, Cliffhanger is a true 4K transfer that really benefits from the upgrade. With both the picture and sound greatly improved, this is definitely the definitive way to watch this film. Not having watched this movie for several years, rewatching it on 4K reminded me how much fun the film is.
The biggest benefit are the special features. Loaded with two commentaries (one by Stallone and director Renny Harlin and the other commentary by the Technical Crew. It also comes with a personal introduction by Renny Harlin, deleted scenes, the “Stallone On The Edge: The Making Of Cliffhanger” making of featurette, a special effects featurette, and more. The biggest bonus is that it also comes with a digital copy of the film.
If you’re a fan of action movies or, more specifically, good Stallone movies from the 90’s, Cliffhanger is a must-own 4K title that is well worth the price!

John Carpenter’s Halloween has been a horror movie classic for the last 40 years and remains one of the best (if not THE best) of the slasher sub-genre. This movie is a true 4K release since the film was shot on 35mm film. The picture and sound improvements on this release are 110% worth upgrading from the 1080p blu ray.
If you have the Scream Factory anniversary edition, then the special features are all the same: two different audio commentaries, The Night She Came Home Featurette, the On Location: 25 Years Later featurette, tv version footage, and theatrical promotional material. So nothing new here for the 40th anniversary or to celebrate the new 2018 sequel.
The only negative I have for this release is that there was no digital copy included with it, but the improved picture and sound more than make up for it.
This release features the complete second season of Titans, the original drama series based on DC Comics characters. Dick Grayson reforms the Titans to take care of unfinished business, but Deathstroke's arrival threatens to tear the Titans apart once and for all.
Is this a TV program or a Netflix, or what? I am interested in seeing this series. Please let me know where to find this showing.
It’s an exclusive series that originally streams on the DC Universe app/subscription service. You can buy a monthly or annual subscription to the platform which also includes movies, comics, and a ton of other tv series.
Does this version of the film feature the Director's Cut as a special feature? Want to decide between getting this amazing looking steelbook or regular Blu-ray with the Director's Cut.
