Well Worth the 3D Experience

3D has always been a bit of a gimmick, but with a movie like Aquaman, it really benefits from the conversion. With the epic underwater scenes, this is a movie much like Avatar that is enhanced by the 3D.
The set also comes with a regular blu ray and DVD copy of the film as well as a digital copy and over an hour of in-depth special features.
If you love superhero movies and have a 3D tv, this is well worth picking up on 3D and enjoying the spectacle!!

Gorgeous Steelbook

Having collected all the other DCEU comic book art steelbooks, this was a must own for me. It complements the rest of them so well.
This is a 4K edition of the movie which comes with all the same special features and a digital copy of the movie. You’re safe getting either edition, but if you’re a big fan of steelbooks and comic book artwork, this is a great set to pick up.
Aquaman is a great installment in the DC Comics movie universe and really takes your breath away with gorgeous underwater special effects, amazing fight sequences, and really fun adventure story that throws you into a who new world.
Seeing it on crystal clear 4K UHD is just stunning and the improved sound quality is tremendous. It also comes packed with over an hour of in-depth special features and a digital copy of the film. If you’re a fan of superhero movies, this is a “Must Own”

The BEST Spider-Man Movie

Who ever would’ve thought that an Animated Spider-Man movie would end up being truer to the character of Spider-Man than any of the live action movies? But Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse succeeds where all of the other Spider-Man movies have only gotten certain aspects of the character right, but not all of them.
The movie is even paced, quick witted, and fun. Packed with tons of interesting characters, the movie is a complete joy from beginning to end, brilliantly tackling the origins/introductions issue that many origin movies have by making the intros brief and to the point and doesn’t make the common mistake of drawing it out.
They other great thing with this release is the plethora of special features including cast/crew interviews, creator commentary, an Alternate Universe mode which is basically an alternate director’s cut of the film with animatics used for the extra scenes, and a digital copy.
If you loved playing Spider-Man PS4 and want to enjoy the this awesome run of Spider-Man focused media, then definitely pick up Into The Spiderverse. The 4K presentation is well worth the expense, especially if yo have a surround sound setup as the sound effects and music definitely benefit and offer a hugely immersive experience.

From the studio that brought you Anastasia and Ever After comes a fairy tale that doesn't go by the book. Everyone's favorite disreputable Super Hero returns with a twist on Deadpool 2 that the whole gang can enjoy.

A Fun Gimmick

Let’s get something out of the way right now: This is not a hugely different movie by any means. The only added content are roughly 7 or 8 scenes of Deadpool
And Fred Savage intercut between heavily a edited version of Deadpool 2. A lot of your favorite jokes have either been significantly toned down or completely eliminated to achieve the PG13 rating needed for this release. Ultimately, the only thing that makes this cut worth seeing is if you really enjoyed the Fred Savage bits.

As a whole, the blu ray itself is very bare bones since it only includes the movie and no special features or commentary track. It does come with a digital copy, which is always nice for the folks who like having both.
Ultimately, I would say unless you’re a hardcore completionist who likes having every version of a movie, you can likely skip this version as I do ultimately feel it weakens the movie overall. But if you’re a fan of The Princess Bride, Deadpool, and want a more child-friendly version of the film so you can safely watch it with younger kids, then this is worth picking up. Just be aware that all you’re getting is this version of the movie, no special features, and that’s pretty much it.

A Strong Sequel To Continue The Franchise

Built on the foundation of a very good premise, Creed II is the follow-up to not only Creed but also Rocky IV. Pitting Adonis against the son of the man who killed his father 30 years ago was a very good (some would say obvious) decision. Providing not only great emotional growth for the character of Adonis Creed, but it also gives Rocky the great closure he needed to end his story on the franchise with.
This 4K UHD blu ray is very much worth the money if you’re a fan of the franchise. The experience really peaks during the actual boxing matches as the colors really pop and you get the full effect of the improved sound.
If I had to throw some negatives at it, I would say that the special features are a bit lacking they don’t really take full advantage of going in-depth into the production. I really would’ve loved to have gotten a commentary track with Sly and Dolph taking about Rocky IV and then reteaming in this movie.

With 4K UHD re-releases becoming all the rage now, Marvel is clearly starting their campaign to re-release their earlier films on this new format. However, while First Avenger is a very fun movie, I have to admit that this may not be the most worthwhile investment since the film itself was not shot in true 4K. This is an upscale of the 1080p.
There are no new special features and is quite simply just another re-release. Unless you’re a stickler for having all 4K movies, you can more than likely be safe in skipping this one if you don’t already own it.

Make no mistake: this is very much a Freddy Mercury biopic and focuses less on the band itself, which I know a lot of people had a problem with. But I would say that it hits a lot of the main points you want to see and the music showcased throughout the movie is the true star of the movie. And Rami Malick does a fantastic job portraying Freddie Mercury and bringing him to life.
This is definitely a movie worth seeing on 4K for the Live Aid concert sequence alone. The colors really pop and you benefit most from the Dolby Sound quality, especially if you own a surround sound system.
The movie comes with loads of special features and a digital copy redemption code.

A Supreme Guilty Pleasure

As a child of the 80’s/90’s, I was of course a big Nintendo fan and loved Super Mario Brothers. So when this movie came out, I HAD to go see it and I dragged my father to the theater to go see it.
Watching the movie now, I owe my father a sincere apology haha. While the set design and costumes are all amazing and homaging a lot of Blade Runner, the story and acting in this movie is just broken and, at times, hard to watch.
If you’re a fan of 90’s schlock films and grew up as a kid of the 90’s and have some nostalgia for the movie, then this is worth picking up. You really can’t beat the price and it’s a fun movie to throw on late at night with friends to poke fun at.
